technology Please help (something's wrong with my comp!)

Please help me out guys, idk why but, for some reason, my computer WILL NOT open the little drop box thingy or whatever that goes down when you click on a notification, message, etc, I have no idea why, and I have no clue how to fix it. I swear I've tried running a virus program, which did nothing, I tried uninstalling several programs and it's not working, I've restarted my comp, still NOT WORKING. I've tried using a different browser, same problem so it's not my browser (ugh I wish it was so I could just uninstall then reinstall it) ugh gosh I have no clue what's going on so if someone could please just help me out and tell me what the crap you think might be wrong with this thing, that would be amazing, I wanna message people on here still, I wanna easily get to my notifications, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!! I'm so sick of this! Thanks!!

Well, all I can think is possibly slow internet, the site is reacting weird with your computer, or...you may need a plugin that you don't have/need to upgrade

I find it usually does that when the page has not loaded. Does the mail icon bit work for you, and have you tried right clicking and opening in a new tab? Not the same effect, but usable.

Hey @kelseymarie805 can I have some more info for example your operating system ( Windows, Mac, Linux) and the Browsers you have tried?

If your connection is slow (Like mine sometimes is) you may have to wait for the page to fully load before the drop downs will work.

Alright, let me ask you these questions

 

1. What is the problem
2. When did this occur
3. How long has this been happening
4. What was the last program, download, etc you installed
5. Additional info (Are you getting a message on the screen, is it freezing, blue-screen of death, etc.)

 

Don't worry, i do this for a living, but I would be happy to assist you
