gaming Bioshock Infinite: How does everypony feel about it?

Let me start off by saying I'm a MAJOR Bioshock fan. I've played through both games at least six times each to do everything possible in the game. Bioshock Infinite, the 3rd game in the franchise, is scheduled for release in October of this year, and I'm unbelievably psyched. However, most people are complaining that Bioshock Infinite doesn't take place in Rapture (a city at the bottom of the ocean). Instead, it takes place in Columbia (a steampunk-like city in the sky).

Here's my question to everypony:

How do you feel about Bioshock Infinite compared to Bioshock 1 and 2? To me, it's not the setting that matters, but the creativity of it all, and in terms of imagination, Infinite is looking good!

I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....

I'm a huge fan of Bioshock, and I also liked Bioshock 2, but not as much as the first one.

If Bioshock: Infinite is anywhere near as good as the first one, I'm sure I will like it :)

I'm actually not that upset about it, it looks like it'll be great. Plus they can't do EVERYTHING in Rapture.

If it's as good as Bioshock, AHHHHH AMAZING GAME. If it's as good as Bioshock 2, it's still pretty awesome :3

I'm a huge fangirl of Bioshock. My email that I use on the Internet is based off of it XD

A few of my friends are complaining that Bioshock Infinite won't take place in Rapture. I'm gonna miss the scenery of Rapture, but I'm anticipating the bright and interactive environment of Columbia. Booker DeWitt (the protagonist) seems like a very charming and dynamic main character, and from the sound of his exchanges with Elizabeth, the dialogue is sure to be epic, as well as get a few laughs out of me.

The whole under the sea thing was getting a little boring, maybe they will revisit it in bioshock 4, but I mean...I don't see that as a valid complaint for the game, the thing that makes bioshock bioshock is the fact that you have all those awesome plasmid powers, not the sea and scenery. I'm sure it will be as good as bioshock 1 and I plan on preordering it when its available if it is at a suitable price.

Looks awesome. It looks a little more cinematic than the first two and OMG the protagonist actually talks this time!

Well, technically, Delta did talk. Thing is, most of what he said came out as little more than exclamations of "HURR! DURR! GRUH!"

keep it real .

Oh yeah, I forgot he had a wonderful way with words.

Excited as HELL for it.

Okay I wasn't that into BioShock 2 (I mean it was kind of an outsourced project or something right?), but I LOVED the first BioShock. Can't WAIT to play Infinite though, I mean, we're gonna get all Jules Verne up in this bitch.

One of the main things that drew me in was the fact that Booker actually talked comprehensibly. Jack in Bioshock 1 didn't utter a sound until he got shot or set on fire, and even then, it was more of a faint grunt than anything else... And Delta.....well, he tried his best, but I don't think anypony actually speaks the native Big Daddy tongue...

I LOVE BIOSHOCK and the whole Bioshock franchise.

I was alittle disappointed that it got handed off to Irrational Games but

so far the graphics are amazing, and i'm incredibly excited for the 1999 mode

but ultimately this about sums up how I feel...

Well basically they've been talking about this game since about 2008, so i'm not sure if its gonna be a good game so....

huh? do you mean the whole series or infinite? Bioshock 2 was released in 2010 and infinite was announced in 2010.

I've only played the first game once, but I freakin' loved it. You can only do so much in Rapture, and Columbia seems like an equally fun place to explore, so I've no qualms about that. Really, I'm not sure how one can complain about it yet. Sure, there are gameplay videos, but there's a certain "feel" of every game. I trust that it'll be made well and will have great gameplay based on what I've seen and experienced. What could possibly go wr-*shot*

I must say, Bioshock is by far one of the best games i have ever played, and is one of the very few games that has a second game thats just as good, maybe even better.., the (Good) ending of Bioshock 2 made me cry, it was so beautiful! I cant wait to see what 2K will do with Infinite!

I'm excited for this.

The trailer itself excites me, and that usually never happens to me.

Compared to the other two games, this is going to be the most unique, taking chances.

It left me feeling that I just was spoon-fed "awesome". But I've never really bothered to play it again.

Great first playthrough. Prefer Bioshock.

The cartoony bad guy and cartoony racism killed it for me.

Yea, people were racist back then but not to that extreme. Which to be fair was the point, Columbia was meant to be an exaggeration of America at that period.

It's my second favorite game behind the original Contra (that game is perfect).

The story is excellent. I'm a huge fan of time travel and historical fiction (along with political themes), so this is right up my alley. The graphics are beautiful. Just watch a clip of the game and you shall know what I mean. Finally, the gameplay, while imperfect for high difficulty, is just spectacular. I stayed up for eighteen hours straight playing the game.

And I regret nothing.

Rarity is the best thing in my life.

Where would I be without her? Nowhere I'd like to be, that's for sure.
