What would you like G5 to have

I would suggest Hasbro starts G5 off online small with some shorts like EG Rocks for online. Let the fans see the them and think about it before investing fulling behind a complete series that takes over after G4.

 

Hasbro doesn't even have to end G4. They can just make G5 be another alternate reality that can do crossovers with G4 for movies.

I would love it if it wasn't a reboot but a continuation of G4 (Or at least set in the same continuity), happening in a distant or near future; and referencing the events of it and stuff. The "several years later" kind of thing where at least one of the protagonists from the story it continues from has some big role or is a legend in the time of the continuation. The whole "Twilight Sparkle is the new ruler of Equestria" thing is overused, but it's a nice idea to me.

 If we go to the part of the personal details, I would like to see more steampunk and just a little bit more of relevant male characters in the show. There's barely any in FiM. Maybe one or two male characters in the main cast?

 Also, it would have more adventures and villains. Kind of like the main series of the IDW comics. And it would have a lot of legendary magic and items that refer to G4.

 As a last thing, I wouldn't have it happening in Equestria, but in a kingdom/country that's close to it. It would be set in a future where more nations were born off Equestria's limits that have a more mixed population. Equestria is the most powerful of all kingdoms, but it lives in political and economical harmony with the other ones. We saw similar stuff in FiM in this particular area, but it would be awesome if it was more explored. Like if they visited different kingdoms often.

 Also, it would have several main characters. There would be more than one particular focus, kind of like FiM having the CMC, the Mane 6, the Cakes, the Apples, etc. They would be all connected in a way, but there would be still more than one group of main characters with different lives. A show that albergates several tiny spin-offs of it's own story. Discord Whooves style (You know what I mean if you at least saw Jitterbug Jive's other blogs).

One thing to fix is changing technology to be more pony believable friendly than just insert human technology. At least have ponies use some kind of magic hands technology they could control.

 

Have at least one of the Mane ponies have some kind of disability. Mute seems to have a charm with more focus on facial expressions.

A lot of good suggestions there, some of which I agree with, some I disagree with and some I am neutral on.

 

I generally like the mix of action and drama they have now.  I like the progression rather than totally same characters in different (progressively inane) situations.  I like their characters. 

 

However, either most of the issues will be wrapped up eventually (I'm predicting about 3 seasons) or they'll get into the problem that some already have with Fluttershy focused shows: yes, she has that issue (Fluttershy's case fear) and she is dealing with it MOVE ON!

 

I fear they'll run FiM into the ground rather than wrap up when it's the right time, but you never know, STNG pulled out when they were feeling that they had dealt enough with that set of characters.

 

I can't imagine that there will never be a G5 show, unless it's because they skip G5 and do a G6(7,8, whatever) show.

 

I'd like them to deal with adult issues (examples: alcoholism, abuse, or unwanted pregnancies) without getting rid of the utopian or supportive feelings that the show generally has.

I'd also like to have Friendship is Science, where the ponies talk about different scientific things (RD plays with electricity to make cool stuff happen, Rarity has social sciences etc.,)

Different but similar universe, ruled by 3 queens, a pegasus, an unicorn and an earth pony, i want alicorns to be some kind of "legends", like they're actually exist but no one has ever seen one. Also a whole new cast, a bigger story arc, more adventures and less villains.

 

And i want cutie marks to be called "destiny marks" or just "marks"...

This is what I was thinking about recently, G4 is going to end sometime soon and of-course Hasbro now has a huge fan-base too so bring on G5. But G4 will probably have another 4-5 seasons added to S5, so a total of possible 9 seasons or 10 I only say this because I've read that G4 has an additional 5 more years left to it. Assuming this quote was said this year. 

 

So I think we're good for another couple of years with G4, I'm currently on S4 and the journal is an amazing idea to keep their experiences in somehow I do believe they will tie in FiM with G5, many bronies or personally myself will find it hard to love new characters as we have such an amazing cast already. The way I would personally like it to be is all our current mane 6 become Alicorn's and rule individual parts of Equestria therefore having the G5 ponies as general normal ponies but in the future they could make a story in which they're the new Elements of Harmony. To add onto that the G5 ponies could also visit different parts of Eqeustria to ask for guidance and help from our G4 ponies but now 'Alicorns' to defeat certain evil etc.

However yes the final episode for FiM will truly be heartbreaking, but it's a little early to think about G5 when we have future EQG movie(s) planned and EQG: Academy in the works.

Really? What is EQG: Academy! Is that really going to be another Equestria Girls movie?!

Flutter ponies (see G1), worldbuilding, SoL, adventure, fun, relateable characters, no humans, SUNSET SHIMMER as a main character, no little girl pandering. kings and queens portrayed as good guys

Five years is a bit of a stretch. With the way things are I'd give it three more years tops.

It's probably not likely but I'd love to see the mane 6 as the main characters in G5, I've grown too attached to them for them to leave 

 

Maybe in G5 they could meet new ponies to mentor, as being in possession of the elements of harmony is a big deal when you're saving the world every day like its nothing new.  The elements eventually get handed over to the new ponies, maybe for reasons where they're very busy in their tasks; Twilight's princess duties are becoming more demanding, Rarity has an extremely successful fashion line and is caught up in it, Rainbow Dash becoming a wonderbolt, etc.  

 

I think that would actually be very nice to see younger ponies full of adventure wanting to take on the same roll as the mane 6, who they've always looked up to

I personally believe the franchise has enough longevity for 3 years plus with yearly EQG movies and a planned MLP film sequels are bound to happen, why fix something if it's not broken?

 

But there's only so much a franchise can do so the best thing we can do is to just enjoy the current experience c:

I would say as long as the main six and spike are having adventures around Equestria along with Celestia and Luna, then it's good.
