Trivium released a new song and it's okay I guess, it seems similar to their last album, which I didn't like all that much.

Holy shit I knew David draimann was producing this album but i didn't Expect him to turn trivium into a copy of Disturbed

And I thought In Waves was great an evolution of Shogun but didn't stray from the technical riffage trivium is known for. This one has Matts Voice and Corey's Assaulting solos with Disturbed style riffs and bass lines. It also lacks Matts Skull crushing screams until the very end.

Its a good song but By No Means as good as Shogun or In Waves.

Huh? I didn't think it sounded anything like Disturbed, and I'm a really big Disturbed fan. I think In Waves isn't even close to as good as Shogun. The only songs I really liked were Inception of the End and Black.

This was tight shit for sure. I'll have to keep listening to it to really give any further analysis; it's one of those albums that I keep finding more to enjoy in with every figurative spin I give it.

It's all opinion, but the widely accepted opinion is that Malice and the Magnum Heart is their best album.  I would say Absent Light is now their second best, Controller third, and Mirrors last.

 

But remember, I'm bias here.  This is my favorite band.  And their behind each other rating wise, to me, as 10, 9.8, 9.75, 9.2.

I'm not sure really.  They all sound like Misery Signals... just different facets.  I think you'd end up liking Mirrors and Controller the most, as it has darker tones and less eclectic riffs.
