Lolwut. They only had one album in the 80's, and it was probably the only album NOT worth mentioning. >.< DT is totally a 90's band. But yeah, they do have exactly 3 songs on Rock Band. Panic Attack, Constant Motion, and On The Backs Of Angels. And when/where the hell did you hear them on the radio? Their songs rarely ever get played, mainly because the average DT song is around 8 minutes long.

I think the majority of Dream Theater stuff I like is from the 2000's (Train of Thought, Octavarium, Systematic Chaos). However, I really like Scenes from a Memory too, and that's from the 90's I believe.

Speaking of Scenes from a Memory, I really love the first couple songs:

They started up in the 80's so they're a little older than my preferences xD; even though they became big in the 90's yes.

I do believe it was Panic Attack I heard, I could be wrong but I think they cut it short.  I know I've heard it a few times though.

What you probably heard then was the radio edit of Pull Me Under.

Hoo, boy. DO NOT get me started on that album. It is quite literally my all-time favorite album. My personal favorite from it is the last track, Finally Free. It's really hard to appreciate the song for what it is without understanding the album's story, but if you do, it's SUCH a fitting end to the album...

ALSO, to both of you...The majority of DT's albums are actually from the 2000's.

Oh, by the way, I never completely understood the story of the album. Like I know it's about a girl who got murdered or something, but I don't really understand like who the main character is, and what his role is.

Oh, well in that case, head on over to here. I'd explain myself, but...yeah...It gets a tad complicated.

I'm not that into Death, but I really like the song Spirit Crusher. I also know the song Symbolic, that's good too.

What about Lack of Comprehension? That's a really good song too. Death's style evolved a lot over their years, so there's a good chance you'll find some more songs you like even if you don't like all of them. If you like Symbolic and Spirit Crusher, I'd recommend listening to both of Death's last two albums, "Symbolic" and "The Sound of Perseverance." But man, I just can't recommend this band enough, every album they released is amazing yet each very different from the last.

I personally recommend Pull The Plug, Forgotten Past, Story To Tell, and Flesh And The Power It Holds. I'm VERY picky when it comes to Death, though...

ANYWHO, as this is a metal thread, I like to think that it's only right that I share my concert experience from Thursday night with you guys. I went to see ReVamp, Sabaton, and Iced Earth at a really small place called Club Red over in Tempe. GREAT show, and WELL worth $25. I got there nice and early. Made sure I was up against the rails. I got some admittedly sub-par pictures of all 3 bands. Here you go. They're in order in which I named them.

Great night, and I actually was lucky enough to nab one of the drumsticks used during Sabaton's set!

I've actually already listened to the entire The Sound of Perseverance album before. The only songs I really liked were Spirit Crusher and Scavenger of Human Sorrow.

TSoP is just about the only Death album I can listen to front to back without having to skip songs...

Anywho, have some crunchy Sabaton!

Waddup Metal pwni3s? Haven't posted in here for a while.

I found this amazing music video by Gojira, you guys should check this out. Brain's all on the ceiling. In the next solar system.

Awesome song where's Gojira from ?

I'm on a thrash binge! This track and album is pretty flame.

Artillery was  great  I thought the lead singer had a similar voice for the lead singer of ICED EARTH !  Anyway here some thrash metal you should check out ACID WITCH and Orange Goblin .

Which Artillery singer? There was like, 8 of them >.< And if you're talking about that song, then I have to wholeheartedly disagree with you. Søren Adamsen sounds almost nothing like Matt Barlow, Tim Owens, or Stu Block. If anything, he reminds me of a cross between Bobby Blitz (from Overkill) and Chuck Billy (from Testament).

And on the topic of thrash, you simply can't go wrong with the album Tempo Of The Damned.

Hey, if any of you nerds are in Wisconsin or the Midwest and don't mind a serious drive, Shai Hulud is playing in La Crosse.
