What's happening, Jersey boy?

 

So I deal with the sad realization today that I just don't like Between the Buried and Me all that much. Don't know why, I mean, they have that fun "djent" quality to them, but the vocals just don't do anything for me. Sucks, because I went out and bought the Parallax II alread.

Also, I'm disappointed with Metal Blade for the quality of their vinyl covers. It's coming apart at the seams already, because they're just bad at making them.

Not much, mang. Just saw my great grandmother in the hospital, and now we're driving home. Can't post songs, sorry guys.

 

B-but... I like BTBAM's vocals... the growling can be a little lackluster but I really dig the cleans.

And that sucks about your album. You should dropkick Metal Blade.

 

Also, you need to find a way up to north Jersey, or I'm gonna have to come down to Pussyiamstown myself. Bitch.

I've never been a big fan of them.  And that opinion that you have is spot-on.  Both are on the softer side of their respective genres, with Genesis being soft prog rock, and Tool being soft prog metal.

I know this song is a popular crowd pleaser. I discovered it recently. This Tool band is apparently considered really complicated and has this serious fanbase, but they just seem like a sort-of metal grunge-rock band to me, with complex time signatures.

Like before, I'm still in a very Lich King mood. I never realized how great they are at doing covers. They sound very close to  the original but with their own little touch to it, like a cover should be.

I know a couple. Sodom is good, but Blind Guardian is my personal favourite. I know a whole bunch of other European bands if you're interested. Nightwish (obviously), In Flames, Dream Evil and the Unguided. Also SOAD is going to Soundwave (Australian concert) and I have tickets :3.

Thanks, I already listen to inflames and Nightwish but I'll defiantly look up the other bands you mentioned. 

 

Soundwave! I bought tickets also, but I had to buy them after they got sold-out on the website and ended up paying way more ;_; But I guess it's worth it considering I've only been to a few concerts so far (prodigy and slipknot) and now I'll be able to see all these awesome bands listed. (Metallica yay!) But I don't remember SoaD being listed at Soundwave? O_O

I guess you could call this metal. I'ts a quite strange rock genre, but it's awesome!

Sodom, Destruction, Kreator, Vendetta (not the heavy metal band from UK), Depressive Age, Tankard, Coroner (Swiss, but that's irrelevant), Assassin, Justice, Deathrow, Mekong Delta, Apocalypse (also Swiss, still irrelevant  Paradox... and those are just thrash bands. Germany is amazing for populating great metal bands...

Well, I like Germany's power metal. Blind Guardian, Helloween, and Brainstorm are some personal favourites. Avantasia's nice too. Accept is a good band if you want heavy metal.

 

The bands mentioned above are good too, Kreator's new album is nice.

C'mon, that's no way to think. I can't speak for everyone, but personally when you post something, it reminds me of a band that I used to listen to but just don't listen as much as I should anymore.

 

Also, the evolution from noob to final form isn't as hard as you'd think. Listen to some of the stuff we post and if you like it, just ask about it or do some personal research. It's a personal journey, we can only help so much. It's how you discover yourself, man.
