Do you usually wake up early?

I usually don't wake up early. I stay up until 4:00 AM and wake up at 12:00 PM. If I actually go to bed on time though I'll probably be up around 9:00-10:00 AM. Still not that early really.

I'm on the early shift at work, thank goodness, so I wake up at about 4:45 AM so I have enough time to get ready to leave by 5:40. That's only three or four times a week, enough.

Otherwise, I'm still an early riser. 6:00 is far from uncommon. I can't seem to sleep in all that easily. I tend to get pretty sleepy by 10:00 PM anyway, and I don't really "go out" to have a good time, so I manage my sleep schedule quite nicely.

On days where I don't study, I usually wake up at about 6AM-ish. Then I try to get back to sleep for a little longer until it is time to get out of bed.

I wake up at 8 every day that way I don't get in the habit of sleeping in. If I do choose to sleep in then I only can sleep until about 10 or so. I can't physically sleep past 10. I wake up at 8 so that the transition back to school won't be so hard in the fall and it gives me more time in the evening if I go to work earlier.

Since I have to be at work (in the summer) at 7 am, and since I take some time to become a functioning human in the morning (with my coffee), I get up at 5:30 am.  Normally I go to bed sometime between 10pm and midnight.  Saturday mornings I try to sleep in if I don't have stuff to do.

That's smart planning.  Setting your biological clock via habit.  :)

I learned this the hard way.  I also learned that my biological clock is only good for waking me up, and it's not as good for making me go to bed.

My freshman year of college, I didn't have any early classes.  My earliest was noon on Monday and Wednesday, and actually it was 2pm for Tuesday and Thursday.  Yah, I got lucky, lmao.  So, I had leeway for going to bed late.  Some nights I would just be tired at a normal time of like 11pm or midnight.  Other nights I wouldn't go to bed until like 2am or 3am.  Since I didn't have to wake up too early, I normally set my alarm for like 10am.  My internal clock was matched with my alarm just fine, and it didn't quite matter when I went to bed, midnite or 3 am, I still was fine waking up at 10am.  However, when I say I learned the hard way... this is what would happen sometimes: since I didn't always go to bed at the same time, my "sleep time" clock would sometimes go wacko.  Thus, there were nights of random insomnia where I just couldn't fall asleep.  I tossed and turned.  Staring at the ceiling.  Then my phone to see the time.  And sometimes I would get up and get back on my computer because I was so mad that I couldn't fall asleep.  Random insomnia sucks.

Yes, but only because I have no choice. Jobs are a real bitch.

Although to compensate for this, I seem to be unable to wake up before 1 PM on weekends. Sure that can't be good for me either, but it beats getting up at 6 AM.
