Picking a bad name for your foal = setting them up for failure?

Do parents in Equestria unknowingly make their foal's future better or worse based on what name they pick?

 

Could naming your foal "Diamond Tiara" be the sole reason she turned into a brat? Did naming your foal "Snails" limit his potential in life?

 

I personally think so. Even decent names like "Apple Bloom" could have had a negative effect. It might be the reason why finding her destiny is hard due to the family expectation under the Apple name.
