What if hasbro made a colt version of mlp

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is not about providing yet another show full of developed male characters (if you want that, it's almost everything BUT FiM, you know?), and the MLP fandom is not dominated by guys.

I mean, not really meaning to call YOU out specifically (you probably meant no wrong), but... world building? Funny how if this was the reverse (a male-centric series with somebody asking for non-sexualized women character representation) it would be instantly shot down as "forcing diversity".

FiM is about showing girls that there are many ways to be a girl and that none of them are wrong, it isn't about the guys. And while guys are free to watch and enjoy this show, you must never expect this franchise to cater to you, otherwise you are actually stealing the show, and this show is special. Leave it alone.

honestly this was just an idea I was thinking about for awhile now also I don't care the pink and blue stereotype (the stereotype of girls have to like girly stuff and boys have to like macho stuff) I would enjoy a show whether it's is a male dominated cast of a female dominated cast (hell I think there should be more good female dominated tv shows).again just an idea

You know what I'm sayin

I feel like this is just another thread showcasing brony entitlement.

Bronies are not owed anything by Hasbro. I'm sorry, but we are not that special. We're just fans. That's it. We're no more significant than the 6 year old girls who watch the show.

The idea that some people in the fandom think that they are so entitled that the entire scope of the show should be changed (or, in this case, that a whole other show should be added) is silly. Love MLP for what it is: a feminine show with strong, female characters. If you can't handle it, don't watch. Making a "male equivalent" would just defeat the whole purpose of the show, the fandom, and what we stand for.

entitlement no just it was just an idea was thinking of an idea but entitlement that's kind of stretching it this not because bronies males watching the show I'd actually prefer if hasbro keeps things the way they are because it's working to quote an old statement if it isn't broke don't fix it trust me I LOVE the product there putting out and I can handle watching a female dominated cast (in fact I prefer a female dominated cast than a male-centric one) entitlement is not it at all I've never felt I'm ode something just for liking something again this is not entitlement its an idea and an idea is all it will be you know Edited by FlameStreak1990

I actually want this to happen. My only pet peeve I've ever had with the My Little Pony franchise which includes FiM and the previous generations, is the sheer LACK of relate-able MALE characters. Now I know Hasbro did do the "big brother ponies"(I had one as a child), I think with the popularity of FiM and the overall morality lessons involved in most, if not all, of the episodes is something that can and should be passed on to any and everyone. The fact that the Mane Six is along with most characters within the show are predominately female as well, while I don't too much mind, it just...shortly put, I don't like it how people treat males for liking MLP. It like isolates one particular gender and while I'm not knocking the idea itself as the MLP was intended for little girls, I just don't agree with gender stereotypes.

Also variety would be nice. And then the basis of how do the ponies even procreate since there are just so few male ponies within the show that we know of anyway. I'd like it if boys/men could watch and have a guy in it to be their show-avatar.

I like horses and ponies are a type of equine, why shouldn't males also be able to like them, ya' know? Although I am female so I guess this doesn't apply much to me...*shys away from the conversation now after laying down her two cents*
