I do believe in luck. Positivity generates more positivity, the same way that negativity generates more negativity. So, by generating a sense of fortuitous outcome it can be argued that luck not only exists but can be influenced. As an example, years ago when I lived in Las Vegas, where my brother was making a living as a professional gambler, we would do little things that would get him all pumped up and give him ‘the jazz’ and this ‘jazz’ often gave me the impression of a better outcome at the tables. Whereas, on days when things weren’t going so well, or there was a listless mood, the outcome at the tables was markedly less successful. Just some food for thought.

I believe we can make our own “luck.”

A lot of times people have called me lucky when I simply used the laws of probability and compounding in my favor.

I.e; do not waste your time on things that do not matter and then the things that do shall fall into place.

But I suppose luck can work. I am just more of a “law of averages” type.

Depends what you mean by luck, probabilities is a known phenomenon in the universe, so there's that. If you play games of chance, you're not supposed to know the outcome although they can be rigged.

However you can make some risks work in your favour with enough information. Probabilities of something happening vs not, is the question.

Think of it like Pokemon video games and accuracy, Thunder having 70% accuracy, means it has more chance of hitting a viable target (that is a target that isn't a Ground type or isn't using a modifier like from the move Protect) than missing, therefore the risk is in your favour most of the time, or at least it should function that way, but certain moves in earlier Pokemon games were glitched so you may want to check on that one.
