How about having three possibility storms, two guttersnipes, and casting thunderous wrath using its miracle cost? That's not even the deck I was talking about. The "judge call deck" runs a bunch of double sided cards, mirrorweave, ixidron, manifest cards, moonmist, and ways to make a creature all creature types. There's also ordeals from theros, and other ways to sacrifice them.

Alright, let's cover things I missed then.

 

First off, all the pages doesn't follow one story, or one setting even. I made the thread with the concept of starting randomly, and then see what came from it, which also means there are a good deal of side stories. We had a few, sorta long strings going for a while the first long time, but then Seamore came along, and crafted a story that most have gotten involved with as time have gone by. There is still side adventures and such though, just to make sure all can be accommodated.

 

As for the demon summoning thing, does it make you feel any better that Vivid isn't evil?

 

Anyway, onward to the next point that Seamore didn't cover (Nice work as always from his side when I miss it or ends up getting ill) which seems to be the mention thing. To which the answer would be yes, if you could keep the mention of who you reply to at the top of the post, it will help greatly. Less confusion and stuff too.

 

As for keeping tabs, just please tell us if you will be gone for an extended piece of time, so we don't start to worry. Good enough in my book.

Also, I play MTG too, and I will say this: I miss Lorwyn. I had so much fun with my faeries back then, and tribal just haven't been as fun since I could be an annoyance like that. :/ Or well, I do have my Sliver EDH, but that isn't the same. Fun, but not the same. ^^

 

Also, mention of moonmist makes me sad on what they did to werewolves. Original Innistrad ignored them in Avacyn Restored, and Eldritch Moon basically ruined their mechanic. I never got why they focus so much on not letting the furry beast decks have fun.

It have been more confusing in the past, but yeah, it can be a bit of a bother. Though if you want to learn, I might refer you to Magic Duels, if you have a smart phone? The new version only iPhone haves (for some, bizarre reason) but Android haves an older one that also works. Gives some great tutorials in those games, and with a better UI than the dreaded Magic Online.

   Only if he's a demon made entirely out of sugarcrisp cereal. Maybe then I'll give him a shot. And so help me if he's made from Froot Loops!

 

@@dragon4111,   Mtg is a bit easier once you get past a few mechanics for land & turn order & whatnot. After that, its pretty much just "do whatever the card tells you." Been looking into Yugioh and that game seems to be a real bother when it comes to rules.

 

@@Seamore Sandwich,  Yeh, but trouble is that eventually all those rules get succinctly put away and what are you left with? What we need is a card effect that lets you win if you can manage to embed one of your cards into your opponent's forhead.

 

   You want Tribal games, @@Blitz Boom, ? That's what the Kamigawa plane specializes in! That's my favorite place in the Multiverse, or as I call it Lore-Win!      Still, since the company said they're gonna try revisiting planes so we'll probably both get our shots. How long can they pull off the new-plane shtick anyhow & expect to sell?

   I'm fine with the new werewolves really. They're still just as adorable to me even if they're Evil Redeadmption Rising tentacle beasts!

My issues with the new werewolves is that they do not work with the prior ones. It is a different mechanic, which leaves a half set of what's needed for a werewolf deck. They needed to keep with the abilities of the previous werewolves, or run this *pay way too much mana to flip for a mediocre beast* thing going from Return to Innistrad. As it stands, they split it, and didn't leave enough pieces for something really good on either side. :/ Vampires and Humans got most of the fun. (and Humans should really be the weak ones on a horror plane)

 

As for Kamigawa, I hope they give it a shot again one day, but it was one of their worst-selling expansions, so might be a time before they take their chances. I really liked the Orochi from there though. Good potential, though I fear that their insistence on weakening cards might mean that the tribal part will be toned down a lot. Guess we'll see. Though I have some hopes for Lorwyn. Nissa went there after all, and they seem to like to make return sets that includes the places the main walkers have been.

 

n any case, in regards to Vivid. First off, Vivid is a she, and secondly, she's not a demon per se. She's a pony, that have had a lot of demonic magic infusing her, which have made her like, 2/3 demonic so far, though she still thinks of herself as a pony, first and foremost. She's a rather nice mare really, she just haves a.... Cruel and direct side to her that pops through now and again. :3

 

P.S. Embedding cards into opponents foreheads sounds more like a rule from an Un-set. Perhaps something to hope for down the line.

Thanks. I go between the fabulous ponymaker (Halloween edition) and the v3 creator from Generalzoi. The first have better options when it comes to outfitting and markings, but it lacks angry eyes, so at times, I have to go for the other one. Like with Null for example:

Only Metal Gear I've ever played were Metal Gear Solid 2. It was a new title back when I got my playstation 2, and it was quite fun at times. Not sure what I did with the game though, but the PS2 still works. Dusty bugger though. :3

Figured I needed to give an update on something here. Basically, I'm feeling a good deal better with my health, and the last remaining parts of the flu is basically just me coughing at times, which isn't so bad. However, the times where I had to wait a few days between posts have been rather... Good for me, in a sense, so it is likely that I will make my posts every 2 days now, with the occasional few days in a row, depending on what goes on in real life.

 

Nothing against any of you of course. I love this RP, and everyone in it, but it have just been rather stressful to have days upon days of long days at work, then write, and then end having perhaps two-three hours left for something else before I need to rest again. The days now where I have had to wait a little between have put that into perspective, and quite honestly, I like to be free to do a few more things instead of writing 13 posts every night and worrying about disappointing you guys/gals/duck (yes, I know some of you are ducks. You can't hide from me!) with a late post.

 

So yeah... For the sake of being allowed to breathe, I'll be running this bi-daily (really hope this is the right term) routine, but I'll try to keep a better eye on PM's and OOC posts too, as Seamore have had to step in a good deal of times because I wasn't looking. Something which I owe him great thanks for.

 

That was a good deal of serious talk, so... Let's end it on a kitten, to liven things up a bit.

     Well, as it stands I'm only just now getting into things, so I'm more then willing to wait around until you chaps can get around to me. I would say I have all the time in the world, but that would imply that I had a concept of such & that time even applied to me in the first place. So you just take yours! Golly, didn't know this required that much work, don't think any of us intended to make this a job for you!      Also, I believe Bi-daily means twice a day. Considering how it sounded like you worked better every two days, think you'd prefer going slower than speeding it up to twice a day?

Dang it, I was so sure I got it right when I went bi-daily. English can be a confusing language at times.

 

As for it taking a lot of work, it didn't used to, but the last two months really have seen an influx of people. before that it was around 6-8 people at best each day, and these days, it´'s more around 11-15. Don't get me wrong, I love that the thread apparently still can gather people in, and seeing when we passed 100k views recently also made me giggle like an anime schoolgirl, but it did put a chunk more on my shoulders. Especially when those pesky friends and family insists on also use more time around me.

 

I'd try to stop sleeping to alleviate it, but I have my doubts that'd work.

 

As for Null and Void, the names are intentional for the twin sisters. I run on another thread too that goes quite a bit slower, and one of the players there mentioned some things about anti-magic, Troy, etc, which gave me some ideas that I eventually just ran with. I figured it could be seen as something too strong considering all the unicorns and such, so I was a bit hesitant, but there is a limit to the range, it doesn't have a long range, and frankly, considering it makes their lives miserable, it seems more detrimental than a gift. Evens things out.

 

I uhm... Might be one of those who support the idea that to make an interesting character, you sometimes have to be a little... Cruel, to them. Like Blitz is alone and haves no memory, Briar was born blind and got exiled from his home for having an opinion on things, Last has had a more or less joyless upbringing as she had to fight and know those around her sometimes didn't last long, Vivid is an immortal outcast that haves to see herself become more and more of a demon as time goes by, which in turn leaves her even more alone, and so forth. Varying degrees of hardships, but I believe it adds some depth to things. ^^

 

Also, I didn't address the tentacle beasts, because I wouldn't risk offending them. Nothing good ever comes from angering the tentacle beasts. Take it from one who got on the nerves of Shub-Niggurath.

 

*shiver* Not a good Tuesday... Not a good one at all... *crawls into a fetal position and whimpers*

Actually I've been at the rank for a while, but the idea came up while talking with someone, so I got on the Gimp image editer and made a changeling version of my usual pic by editing the colors and pulling some pieces from some changeling pics and fitting them to Stormy, and sometimes changing those to fit too, like the eyes for example. :3 (the eyes and the wings were the hardest to fit. The colors were easy, and so were the holes)

   Well, not to add yet more for you to deal with, but... that got me thinking. Over here I've got a being that's outlived his own sanity, a stallion that's never really known what love is & a creature that, by its nature is built to pull itself apart. We want our characters to have something to deal with to make them more alive, but not apparent enough to where they can't sit down for a cup of tea & a friendly conversation without flashing back to past war crimes.

     I'm reminded of the metaphysical trauma & blurred lines of Deadpool & Animalman. Where both characters became fully cognizant of their status as being mere characters & leading pre-destined & manipulated lives. So much so as to come to face their own creators. A little rabbit hole I aim to peg Widders in.

   Hmm, I ought make a thread about this sometime... and look more into Animalman.

Not far from what Pinkie does, and Deadpool is awesome, so no issues here from me, as long as it's done well. ^^ And yes, though depth is needed, you can't have the sort where they can't relax at any point in time or it makes the character one dimensional again. Though, you can have a character with no joy if it is, and have some depth. All in the execution of the player. ^^

 

Also, just spend a bit of time to read about your dra... Spirit of Confusion. I can't spell the other word, and not going to look for it. :3

 

But in any case, spent some time reading up there because of what you said made me curious, and I gotta say, quite the strange being. A fun one though, from what I can see, and I can imagine anypony meeting him will essentially have an interesting time trying not to go bonkers. And the picture is nice. ^^

Howdy. It's been a while.  I was thinking, can I remake appearance with Missklang again? It was so fun, and my first ever RP, so I guess I grew nostalgic ^^. Now that I have a new OC lurking from the corner, Alscenia, it could be interesting to test her out just as I once did with Missklang, once I finished her draft backstory of course. For now, is it ok for me to rejoin the adventure?
