I figure that taking everything too serious is boring, so I make weird comments. In all honesty though, I try to use my NPC's for as long as it seems fitting, then I put them on a shelf for a time until another might need them. For the time being, Billowing Smoke is needed.

 

And really, I just like hats like that, just never been able to make it work on the models I've gone with thus far. Though this one seems to work out alright in my opinion. ^^

  Hey, he was put in to strike up a romance, right? Well, what romance is without a little bit of an awkward situation? I just happen to be quite adept at awkward situations!

 

 

    You know, been wondering. What exactly has gone down in Ponyville to cause it to need rebuilding, @@Blitz Boom,? Might be something that would have to be made clear to my characters, especially the Denseonequus that might make things worse if things aren't made excruciatingly clear. Though, do think the GuardsMare that he's with is from out of town, so like as not she's not familiar with it herself.

 

   Was just thinking too, @@~Phoenix~, that what with your own characters backstory involving pursuits of pseudo-immortality & my draconequusona being completely immortal himself, there could be some room there to talk about that aspect. It's a trait I often find myself expounding at length about. Not of course, that i'm implying romance... but that being said, while I may refer to him as male, he's effectively genderless. I would just recommend against attempting flirting with/against him, as subelty is NOT his strong suit.

 

   I think of there being, maybe, three ranks/types of immortality, but maybe that's a topic best saved for different threads & times.

    Keep his Bio Page on over Here!  Feel I should warn you though, he quite a bit of a Fourth Wall breaker. Hope I got that through subtly enough! The main gist of that, is that he's fully aware that he's my OC.        And alternatively, his reality is also from my imagination. You know, that whole theory that every possibility exists among infinite dimensions splintering off from each other... well, its complex. So much so that I probably ought'ent be spewin' theories about it!

 

    You can also look up Last Stand on the Roleplay World ...uh, pages of this forum. I'd link that too, but it'd probably be more polite to let Blitzy do it themself.

 

  In whole, kinda aimed to make Widdershins sort of like a similar antithesis to Discord. Less manipulative & more oafish.

 

 

    Thing is though, when it comes down to the actual part of buckling down to rp, you kinda have to just go with what your character is also given.I mean, I don't know nothin' about what journies Last Stand has been through, what state she's in now or where that sword came from. Which is just as well, as my character is & should be just as oblivious to that. He isn't the sort to ease up unless he's specifically told to calm the buck down or he's going to make her bust a stitch, literally.

Monster attacked Ponyville basically, smashed some houses around while it was being fought off. Mixture of races helped fight this thing, including Last who was part of the final effort that killed it, but she ended up pretty severely hurt as a result. As in, she almost died, and have been told by the doctors that if she strains herself by battling even a little, the stitches will likely go up, and the resulting mess will more or less instantly kill her. It's one of the reasons why she's directing the rebuilding efforts (using her knowledge of how to reinforce properly from the shrine) rather than being part of the efforts to actually move things around.

 

As for the sword, I thought I mentioned it before, but it was given to her by her ancestor in a semi-dream, after she had gotten *eaten* by the monster that attacked Ponyville and had to escape back to the real world.

 

Trust me, it's hard to explain, but it was pretty fun at the time.

I know, long wait, but the weekend is coming up and the family have pretty much put a hook in me for most of it. I can beat that: I've never watched any episodes. ^^ I use a mixture of the MLP wikipedia and just winging it to get things along. Sometimes just making it up as you go along can be fun. ^^ Heck, Anomaly was one such things. I had planned a great evil at first, then figured this was funnier for me. :3

I was watching stuff on Youtube, then stumbled unto This Day Aria, the song where Chrysalis and Cadence sings prior to the wedding, and I liked how it sounded. Rather catchy.

 

After hearing that for some hours, I went on to hearing a few of the other songs, which wasn't too bad either. A few made me cringe, but overall, they sounded good, and was my first proper introduction to the fandom. Not enough to make me take the leap, but enough to make me open to other parts. Which brings me to the thing that made me take the first, true leap: Fluffle Puff.

 

I fell over the blog on Tumblr when I made an account of of boredom one day, and I loved it. Heck, I still read through it and keep up to date on what it posts, because I like the silly randomness of the fluffers. ^^

 

A few months later my previous RP site closed down from issues with the leadership, and at that point I had gotten enough indoctrinated by a few things regarding the MLP fandom (Like Bride of Dicord. Awesome story, and one of the reasons why I'm all for Fluttercord. :3 ) that I figured that I could check how the RP might be with that.

 

I fell over this site, and lurked in the greeter area for about a month where I greeted plenty of new ones with gifs of fireworks, and got the impression of a healthy, stable, and overall nice group of people that would be a joy to write with. So eventually I took a chance and made this thread, thinking that perhaps a few people would be here and we could have some small time fun, though I was plenty nervous about making it, as I still relied mostly on Wikipedia for information.

 

2 and a half years later, I have over a dozen lovely people to write with constantly here, fun adventures and can see us going slowly towards the top of the list in the Everfree section of RP's, which I still have trouble comprehending sometimes. If anyone had told me a few years back that this silly little thing would be the second-most viewed for example, I wouldn't have believed it, but seeing it makes me happy. Not because of the competition aspect, but because it means a lot likes to watch and read this, which is pretty good.

 

I do miss the violent RP I uses to make at times, but hey, can't win 'em all, right? ^^

 

Also, on another note, I can't take credit for the thread holding on for this long. There's one who kept here when the first that came around started to go away, and if he hadn't stayed here for the few months it took until more came around (and some time after that too, before he sadly had to go) this would have closed two years ago. That one is @@Shineling, and the second I saw him back it made for the best day ever. Partner in crime right there.

 

These days, everyone here makes this a great thing and I do send internet hugs to you all in my mind, but he really did keep this going when times got tough, which allows me to babble on and on to questions from people like you Phoenix. ^^ And I do mean babble on, as I can see now that I miiiiiight have gone on for a while. Whoops.

 

Anyway, hope that answered the question. And of course, I hope that Midnight and you are planning fun, weird things.

i certainly don't consider it babbling. it's a very interesting story you told there. i just wish you could reply more often, but i do understand that's not always possible. i watched the show for a few years, but i think i steadily lost interest towards the beginning of season 5. i think part of my interest in the show. i think one of the main reasons i got into it in the first place was the thrill of doing something out of the ordinary. it was the thrill of being a deviant. of course, that's not to say it was the only reason. but eventually, it just sorta died out. it's certainly a good show, and i think as the seasons went on the show got better and better, but it just wasn't as thrilling anymore. of course, something i never got away from was roleplay. sometimes i get away from it for a month or two, but i always want to come back for some reason. guess i just enjoy being able to play a part in writing a story, and immerse myself in the world in which our characters live in

RPing never gets old for me. I got into the show for two reasons. The first being Spike and the second being my connection to the lessons that twilight and crew learned. But after the 'do Alicorns dream of magical sheep' episode, I lost interest in the show itself.

Good on you mate. ^^ Never been able to really indulge in the show myself, but I can understand why others would love it. At least at one point or another. ^^

 

As for my responses... I did try to keep it at once a day for a long time, but with the more people joining in and real life starting to drag in me with family, work and such becoming a bit more prominent (as well as me wanting the chance to play some games now and again too) and it starting to feel a little stressing. Even went to the point where I feeled like stopping was one of the only options, because I basically had time for little else than this.

 

So I had to go to once every two days instead, and it took a lot of the pressure off, and made sure I can handle this well. It's also one of the reasons why I encourage mixing the groups so that others can have fun without me having to be there all the time, since I can't anymore.
