“Many… hanks,” Sen chugged about half the milkshake before returning it to Rosa. Lin didn’t need it as much, seeing as she was still slumped on the ground and letting the cool soda sit in her mouth. The feeling of a swollen mouth remained but the heat was starting to dissipate. They’d still be talking funny for a bit, though.

“If hose rolls were sthrong, I’dth hathe to learn whath ponieth put in their thpithier foodth.”

“Why they do that, I don’th know.”

It was still a rather exhilarating experience, feeling the heat build up until their mouths were figuratively on fire. Natural ingredients back home never come close to this kind of food. It was either prepare food right or regret it later. Even then, the longma back home knew about how to go around preparing food incorrectly. It usually involved having a drink nearby to neutralize the taste, usually some kind of tea prepared for the meal. How the ancestors came about that, no one alive now would know; probably had too much time to experiment.

The siblings eventually took their time eating the rest of the food, munching on popcorn and finishing the pretzels. They’d leave some more for everyone but the pretzels seemed to be a favorite, especially with Sen. It had a familiar taste and texture, sort of like a donut but having some form of sugar dusted on the exterior.

“Ahh… Thith ith muth better than eathing fire. You really don’th feel that burn, Omen?”

“Nexth thing we do ith try whath Rotha likes!” Lin chuckled at the idea but somehow, weird foodstuffs might not be so bad compared to spicy dishes. They’ll probably hold off on anything likely to set their taste buds on fire for the foreseeable future but the longma’s adventurous stomach won’t be deterred.

Under any other situation, Sen would start to question what’s gone into his sister, but knowing this to be a night to unwind and have fun, he conceded. His mouth was already swollen from the heat, might as well keep the momentum going. He turned to Rosa and smiled, somehow agreeing with Lin on what they’ll be doing. Might be a good diversion before moving on to settling the tie breaker.

Whatever Ruby's reaction to Leviathan's words about her was, was hidden well, as she only nodded to acknowledge Leviathan's comment, though her dismissiveness of Leviathan's expressions of care could be taken as reactions by themselves, since it wasn't hard to tell that there was a lot she she didn't say out loud.

Charir didn't get scared of Leviathan's lightning too badly, he was taken off guard of course, and he quite literally jumped when she did it, but he didn't seem fearful of her, just surprised, possibly thinking it was a demonstration of what to do next, since he tried to imitate her until Ruby started speaking to him. He seemed a bit confused at one point of Ruby's explanation, and even dared to interrupt her enough to say something about it, though when he did, it wasn't hard to tell he started regret it immediately, but Ruby just calmly waited him to finish before continuing, causing a visible relief in the young male.

After Ruby was done talking to Charir, and he seemed to start thinking about something, she addressed Leviathan again "What if we are going at this from the wrong direction." "What if it's not weather magic?" "I mean, I fully admit that magic is the one thing I don't know as much about, but while I lack knowledge, you work from the assumption that for him it will work the same as it does for you." "All we know for sure is that for some reason his claws sometimes create electricity when he interacts with that specific cloud." "I can also tell from experience that electricity doesn't normally move like that between our claws." "What if it is strictly elemental rather than weather based?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Nada decided to get a little snack when her new odd friend seemed occupied, either sneaking on or confusing her prey with her singing. She would catch few frogs and/or toads, and if there was something else fur-less around she would also catch few of them, this was far from filling meal but it helped a bit.

She thought for a moment how to respond without causing the shark-pony to get too disappointed "I would say I'm a good hunter, but I try to avoid monsters, I prefer food that fits in my mouth whole." regardless of being a predator, she wasn't really a fan of the smell of blood, so she preferred eating creatures that she didn't need to rip apart, and honestly, she didn't believe she was much of a match for monsters now that she didn't have her mind control magic.

----------------------------------
Scarecrow would make his way to Crow to help it if it didn't get out by itself "With all due respect...whatever you are..." he didn't know or remember what a fairy or a human was "....from us 3, it's you I'm most worried about, I have gained new distrust of anything I don't recognize." "And name is Scarecrow, this is Crow."  this of course if it really was Crow and not some trick from Anomaly. His tone wasn't as friendly as it had been with Lyriel, Anomaly's tricks were getting on his metaphorical nerves, and since he didn't see a reason to avoid scaring this tiny thing, he sounded lot more cold. "Do you happen to know where a pony made of plants ended up in this castle?"

"The Mid-Autumn Festival," Rising mused.  The park in his neighborhood often had such festivals dedicated to their neighborhood.  The residents and shop owners of the few city blocks that made up their neighborhood all pitching in for an evening of entertainment.  The hustle and bustle of everyday city life was but a mask to what truly made this city and Equestria great.  The creatures that lived in it.

Viz'nay would flutter about for a little while, examining the scene set before her, which seemed to be a treasured one by the detective. And she could see why too. She were not above understanding the enjoyment in festive gatherings, surrounded by others who too liked to explore and enjoy the sights. A seemingly peaceful, yet lively event, full of smiles, and playing foals. Especially the foals caught her interest, and she fluttered around them, while they found enjoyment in what games were presented by the festival. They seemed so happy and carefree... How long had it been since she had last seen such a sight, on a young foals face? She could not remember anymore, yet it pleased her to see this a mind so small and fragile, seemingly remaining pure and innocent.

Other sight caught her eyes too, as the chain of lights brought her away from these youngsters, and slowly towards the other attendants, whom she would watch from several angles, before she'd eventually begin to speak. However, even as she did so, she did not stop investigating the sights, and taking in what the Equestrians did to celebrate, the passing of a season.

She sensed the door opening in his dreams, and would then stop talking further. Instead, she would simply just flutter around, and enjoy the scene, whilst blessing Rising's imminent endeavor. May he find a mare in the dream warden, who would cherish him, and be the light he would return to, after a long day in the darkness. He deserved that, if possible.

Starbright rolled her eyes and walked up to the desk, "This here is Magma.  We found her at the candy store the Solar Guard directed us to.  She's from Center Zero and has had a bit of an incident with an experiment on elementals.  Sort of becoming one and a pony's body doesn't appear equipped for such a thing..."  Bash's gaze moved from Starbright to the molten pony in his lobby.  He tapped his hoofs together in thought for a second before removing a crystal from his saddle back and looking through it at her like an eyepiece, "Hot?" he grunted in inquiry, voice like gravel.

"Fascinating..."

Magma's eyes had been more or less fixated on the flower from the moment they entered, and had almost been on the verge to get closer to it herself. Yet seeing how Flare had been treated when he had tried to get close to it, she had stopped her forward motion, and simply stared at it through her glasses at a distance. With great fascination on her face too, as this were a plant she had never even heard about before. And in her former profession, that weren't too common. Usually it were minor mixture of plants that they got to inspect, but this were something entirely new. A nearly ethereal plant, growing out of the socket of a skull? What kind of plant might this be?

Eventually, the question that had been presented to her would sift through though, and she'd blink her eyes a few times, before addressing Bash.

"Huh? Ho- Oh, my core temperature right? Sorry, I were just mesmerized by this peculiar flower of yours. It looks like something that have been cultivated, rather than grown normally, am I right? The biology department in Center Zero sometimes made vegetation of their own, and this carry some resemblance to their extremes, yet in a unique way. What they did, were rarely this delicate and peculiar looking. It tended more to have some resemblance to flesh eating plants, or incubator units. Professor Mulch always liked the snapping plants. Even after she almost got eaten by one of them. Have you made this plant yourself?

Hrmph. But uhm, I digress. As an answer to your question, I am rather hot beneath the surface, though what levels depends on how deep you go. Were it as hot as my core temperature throughout, I would not be able to have an outer shell, to keep things contained. And I can assure you, I am safe to touch. I might feel a little warmer than a usual pony, but nothing dangerous, unless a situation arises that causes a reaction, which makes my inner layers bubble up, and the shell on myself then starts to crack.

As for exact numbers, I have been able to measure a temperature of upwards of 1600 degree's Fahrenheit in my core, which are placed were my heart previously were. The professor tried to cause a reaction after that, to see if it might heat up further, but I pulled out of the experiment before that. We had already nearly maxed out our sensors, and further than that, might cause an eruption event, due to how there were an opening into my core at that point. It weren't a guarantee, but I could not risk it."

"Wait, Twisted?  As in Twisted Gear?" the officer inquired.  Now putting a bit more together when Omen first mentioned him and the Witches.  "The dark wizard Rising defeated in Harrowmark?" not that it appeared Omen was all to up to date with current events in that dark land.  "It's alright darling, no need to worry.  The dark wizard attacked our city, but Detective Rising Dusk traveled to Harrowmark and vanquished him days ago."

Grave froze as she heard his name uttered. Twisted Gears. A silly name, but by far not a silly pony. A ruthless monster were more like it, far more cruel than Suusha had ever been, even after Twisted's corruption caused his bloodlust to spike, and madness take hold. He still could not hold a candle to his once devoted follower, who frankly, she saw as little more than usurper. The sort whom she were sure only did what he did to the gods, to try and leave a seat open for himself, to ascend to godhood.  Though even if that were not the case, he were still a sadistic tyrant, who had made life miserable for all who lived within Harrowmark, and reveled in their suffering.

Grave never personally saw him, but she had seen the aftermath, of places were he had been less than pleased. Witnessed the result of those who displeased him, and were used in his twisted experiments.  There were not a spec of good on that horrid creature, and he had been a constant in Harrowmark for so long, that it seemed like he were as inevitable a constant, as the very gods he meddled with.

And yet, they now claimed he were gone? The tyrant of Harrowmark, who had spend six hundred years tormenting them, actually gone?

"I don't know what he told you, but... It's not possible, okay? There have been entire armies out to get Twisted. Heroes and gatherings or beings, carrying weapons and skills unlike any others- And they've all failed. You can't just defeat someone, who wields time like a plaything, and ruins the sanity of gods.

*gulp* It might be that he just came back and told you that Twisted were gone, because he were recruited by him.  Your detective could be working for him now, rotting your town from the inside out!

Oh great Suusha, what am I to do here..."

She tapped a little in place, and trying to get her racing heartbeat under control. Something which she had a mediocre amount of success with, but not much. The thoughts of what might be going on in this town, with Twisted's likely apprentice, situated in an important role here... It were grizzly to think of, what the consequences might be of that.

"It... It might be he didn't to it voluntarily either. Twisted is... He's evil. He wouldn't be above corrupting your detective's mind. I can prove it too. Where is he now? If Twisted's malice runs through his veins, I can smell it His vile magic is very distinctive."

She weren't sure exactly what were going on here, but either way, Twisted hadn't been defeated. She couldn't believe that a single pony could do, what centuries of brave, powerful beings had been unable to get done. Something were off with that pony, and it might well be something, which could cause the doom of this entire town! She had to try and stop that, or it wouldn't matter that she escaped Harrowmark. It would just come to her instead.

"I'd find it a little disappointing, but it's possible. Weather magic is a sub-type of elemental magic, so it could make a false positive, and he is strictly more towards a wind aligned dragon, sort of elemental user. Electricity and wind are their forte. I suppose it might be that he have a vague weather interaction, so that he could cause already established clouds to become thunder clouds then, or some sort of ionizing is going on that interacts with his electricity, in the cloud I made.

We could try something else then. Though I hope I didn't spook him enough before, to not want to try this."

She'd hold her hand out, palm up, towards Charir, and invite him to come and put his hand in her. The physical contact might be too much for him, but it were hard to say, before she tried. And in case he didn't move towards her on his own, she'd ask Ruby to please tell him to do so. Considering his short bout of confidence before though, in talking over Ruby for a short time, she were hoping that his curiosity were battling enough with his fears, to try this without much prompt.

"Tell him to try and focus on what I am doing, and try to focus hard on doing the same. We'll see if the lightning goes better for him."

She'd have a few sparks start to dance between their hands. Nothing dangerous, and especially not for scaled creatures like themselves. At worst, it'd feel kinda like a slight poke here and there at times, which shouldn't be much of an issue, hopefully. They'd see if he could follow here. And if he suddenly had a spike of magic, and she got zapped... Well, it'd hurt, but she wouldn't hold it against him. This were her own idea, after all.

Even if Nada didn't think much of herself, the shark pony seemed to, as her awed look did not lessen when she heard Nada's response.

"Hunter friend."

She'd move in closer, and nuzzle the side of her head against the siren's tummy. Nada were clearly the best creature she had so far run into. A hunter like herself, but bigger, and much smarter. Which meant that she were the right creature to follow and learn from. Already here, she were learning a good deal, as Nada seemed to still eat some of the things here, so that meant that she could maybe bring one of the small frogs as a gift sometime. Sorta like a cat, offering its owner a dead mouse. Just without the implication that it thought you sucked at hunting. Which would also be why she'd bring a live one, to the siren. Nada were a great hunter. She could munch it, if it tried to get away.

"I hunt monsters. Monster is food, like frog."

As had been proven before, this mare did not mind the smell of blood, nor tearing her prey to shreds whilst eating it. So big things that couldn't be taken in one munch, like Nada liked, she would have no issue eating herself instead. Such as monsters, which were a definition she were gonna have to learn more about at some point, to know what were a monster, and how to deal with them. Which were codeword for *For the love of Celestia, don't eat another sentient being in front of the ponies!*. They'd get a little iffy about that, to put it kindly.

"H-uuuungry. Hungry. Hunter friend is hungry? We hunt?"

Whilst she might be sated, Nada was a big creature. Surely she could eat more, than what she had taken? Hunger were something that the unnamed mare could understand, so trying to sate that, were her idea of a bonding thing, the two of them could do. If not that, she were out of ideas. Maybe Nada had something in mind?

Crow were mighty real, and sadly stuck too much. One of his wings were stuck beneath some rubble that he had somehow ended up in, and couldn't get out of. A sufficient lift, or few things removed though, and Crow would be able to get his wing out, and start to flap it about, to get the feeling back into it.

It would also let out a hiss towards the fairy, whom let out a *eek!* sound, and hid a little more behind Scarecrow's head.

My brother might be guarding her too, but he's super nice. Big lazy head though, hehe. Probably already sleeping in front of her door."

She'd narrow her eyes after saying this, and gaze accusingly at Crow, whom she didn't trust one bit right now. Birds like this, hunted fairies. She knew that, as several had done so with her before.

"I'm on to you, bird thingie. You're not gonna eat This Rose. Nuh-uh, I'm not food."

“Does Legion know where the hospital is located?”

"They do. Autumn is part of them now, and she knew the town well. They also say that you're not okay, and that you need to get there really fast. I just have a dislocated wing, but you're in real harm. You have to get there real fast."

Sorrow would look with concern in her eyes at Sorrow, and describe exactly where to find the hospital. That being two hundred meters straight north west, after reaching the outskirts of the formerly affected area of Autumn's anger. She'd insist that she had to fly off, and fast. Though if she refused to, insisting that Sorrow had to go through, Sorrow would let out a sigh, and try to reach some sort of compromise on this matter.

"At least let us go there together then, right away. I'll walk as fast as I can. And no buts, Windy. You're in a bad state, and need help now. You're my friend and I'm not letting you stay here and get into serious trouble because you're stubborn."

Wasn't running right away sadly, but she'd force herself to walk as fast as were possible, and the speed would increase over time, once her sore muscles had a chance to get moving once again. She'd still have a strained expression on her face near constantly though, due to the pain in her dislocated wing. It were tolerable enough, but it sure as hay weren't comfy, that were for sure. And soon as Windy had gotten some help, she could move on to hopefully find a nurse who could

"I heard there were a part of me in town, that had had a bit of fun. Making frog monsters, some sort of shark pony, and goof around din the forest. I'm thinking we start finding a few of those frogs, mutate some wild life, and see who'd win in a fight. Winner gets a pair of ice wings, and the loser becomes Pringle's lunch.

We could go have fun in the garden up at the castle too. We never checked to see if anyone were super impressed with our work. I bet there's ponies there day in and day out, chasing benches and cuddling bubble creatures."

While she were talking, Anomaly were enjoying her drink fully, up until the last drop had been licked from the cup. After that, she'd pop open the top of her head, and scoop down, to get a heaping helping of pumpkin juice out, which she'd then start to drink.

"Also, we already did the tank thing. They'll just be bored if they see the same thing, right? Let's figure out something new and fun we can do to Ponyville, hehe.

Hey, any of you wanna try some pumpkin juice? Come ooon. It's yummy. I drink it all the time, and I'm pretty sure I'm not taking damage from it."

@EQ_Theta

"I'm somewhat surprised you have such an extreme reaction. Swollen tongues usually takes a fair deal more heat than this, though... Yes, I suppose if you haven't been used to spicy tastes like this in your life, it might cause an extreme reaction.

Honestly, I thought you might have enough similarities to dragons to avoid that. If I had known otherwise, I wouldn't have encouraged this. Well... Not with the sauce at least. That is likely the thing that is causing you the most heat damage, so to speak.

When your mouths are more prepared for it, we can go and try something I like, as you put it. I don't much care for overly spicy foods, so you'll have a more savory, crunchy dish. Especially if - stars be willing - they have chocolate and salt covered moths. It's primarily a thestral town, so there should be a reasonable chance."

He didn't only, or even primarily, eat bugs. But it were a nice treat, and the proteins were important for his diet. Also the only sort of meat he could actually eat.

Some thestrals were better off, but his stomach couldn't handle things like fish, beef, or chicken. Insects functioned fine though, and were his primary source of proteins, along with milk. Though he still mostly ate greens. He were still an equine, after all.

He'd go through and munch of some more pretzels and corn, while watching the joyful carnival proceed around them. Beings of all shapes and sizes, wandering around and acting happy, amongst the food carts. Happily treating themselves to all kinds of odd carnie food, while talking about the things they were gonna do here tonight. There weren't a lot of foals, or other children around though. Not a big surprise really. Considering the time of day, it were mostly young thestrals they'd see, if they saw youngsters. Though if they had their eyes with them, they'd spot a pair of kitsune, wandering around with three kits. In a close group mind you, as if the parents were paranoid about the other attendants, or thinking the kits might run off, if they were given half the chance. Probably both.

Weren't any breezies to find either, this close to the ground. They'd be part of Banshee's tours up high, but most of them would prefer not to be close to big flocks like this.

And speaking of Banshee, they'd find that their cart were flying through the air, with a flock of tourists inside already. It seemed like the drake were feeling better again, and were up for the flights for tonight. Hopefully they'd stay on the ground enough for Tomb to be able to deliver to Banshee, in a reasonable amount of time.

"Y'know, I'm gonna miss a bustling gathering like this. It can be hard on the ears, but there's something relaxing about seeing so much joy around you. Almost makes you forget the darkness of the world, when you're placed right into the middle of the warm light like this. Figuratively speaking, of course."

It were best to enjoy this evening while he could. The memories of it, were gonna have to suffice for a long time. Though with what had gone on already, he could say that there were already several things, that he could look back at fondly. This excursion with his friends, might even be able to counter the nightmares some nights, as the recollections of this last night, would mix into his mind, and make the days and nights more tolerable.

He'd sit and think on this a little in silence, whilst eating a few things here and there, and not paying much attention to what. Up until he suddenly bit down into something that - after a few seconds - began to feel rather spicy. Then a Lot more spicy, to a point where he were coughing, and taking a big gulp of milkshake, that he'd constantly swish around his muzzle, whilst the sweat were starting to show on his forehead.

While he hadn't been aware, Omen had dipped one of her rolls in the sauce, and put it near his hoof, to see if he'd take it. Which he had ended up doing. Seemed like he had been pranked.

Skall didn't pay much attention to the seers words, by the time Zhu was done talking he was already clouded from view, if the doctors were to look their way, nothing off putting would be seen or heard, it would be as if Zhu had been asleep.

"You possess true sight, letting you view all things, or so I heard. Yet, you don't even know what I am here for."

He chuckled as he took out a decorated blade, etched markings that started to glow red.
"I am here to get access to the detainment hall, and I need you to tell me how to get into it.
However, I have methods to extract information from corpses, so if you wish to stay silent..."
He chuckled as he resheathed the blade.
"But Imagine you might not want to be."

"He chose to do this, I didn't know about it until recently however, basically right before Emerald needed his body."
Astral looked around, seeing if Sapphire was returning yet, it hadn't been that long yet she seemed worried
"I'm also wondering, are you generals trying to remove the ban on our magic? It's alright if that's waiting on anything...."

Windy wanted to protest even further, but seeing Sorrow would not be convinced no matter what, she lowered her head in defeat “Fiiiiiine....” she turn around and soread her wings “Well, see you later at the Hospital, Sorrow!”

After Windy left, Razor got out of debris where the house once stood “That mare...she's a tough head one”

“I’ve never had food this spicy before. If we’d eaten enough food with this kind of heat, maybe we would have lasted longer. Say, my voice sounds like I can say words normally again. Whatever was in that milkshake really helped!”

“Honestly, I think the most similar feature we’d have with dragons is our appearance. Think of a pony’s base body then start slapping on dragon features wherever possible. You know, wings, horns, scales running down our backs, and a pair of claws. Huh, well that’s something I never thought too much about. Are longma really true hybrids or did we just get bits and pieces of dragon?”

The more Lin thought about the nature of the longma, the more she started getting into it, an a little confused. If anyone were to ask her about the origins of their kind, there wouldn’t be an answer. Were the longma always born the way the were, or did a dragon sneak in some genetic material somewhere down the line? Beyond assuming genetic incompatibility, something must have caused the longma to appear the way they are. Perhaps that is a question for another day as this wouldn’t be the time or place to ponder the question that didn’t yield an answer.

That, and Lin’s thoughts returned to the present, hearing about the chocolate-covered moths and Rosa talking about the carnival’s atmosphere. It was quite the sight, seeing joy all around. Sen picked up on this and closed his eyes, letting the imagery run around in his imagination. It was a good feeling, and Rosa was right. It could make him forget about the worst things in life. Lin liked this feeling, too, as she was content to eat in silence while Rosa had his moment. Ponies sometimes say words may not be necessary to enjoy a moment. How they came up with that is a mystery, but that sentiment rang true right now.

That feeling of serenity would be broken by the sound of a coughing fit, followed by audible gulping, then the siblings took notice of Rosa sweating and drinking the milkshake in quick succession. There was still a bit of grape soda, so Lin extended her claw toward her friend, offering some more to drink, while Sen was visibly panicking, thinking about running off to buy another milkshake.

The siblings weren’t quite sure what happened, assuming Rosa might have accidentally picked up and ate one of Omen’s rolls. Might be a simple mistake or Omen might have slightly nudged it. However it came to be, there was a bit of relief as Sen rummaged around his saddle bag until he pulled out a canteen and offered it to the thestral.

“Here, Rosa. I've got some water. Drink this if you need more.”

“Omen? Did you have something to do with this?” Lin thought about how the situation came to be, and though she could say no more, she turned to the Ki’Nathar with a mix of concern and cheekiness in her voice. If Omen set this up, she could be harboring a sly, more puckish side, and that would be the biggest surprise of all.

Zhu opened his eyes, and gazed upon Skall in silence for a few seconds. His slit eyes carried a golden sheen, rather than the more typical yellow or red of his kind.

"I did not intend to keep the answer to myself. I understood how this future might come to pass, and were prepared to answer whatever questions you might hold, generations past.

But before I answer, understand this: True sight does not mean that I see exactly what is to pass. I see every foreseeable future, when I gaze upon a creature. Some of them are more likely, but there is never a guarantee, of what is to come. A slight nudge one place, might swing the path greatly, and there have been some whom I have nudged as such, to ensure they are wandering towards a destiny more befitting of the balance. Or ensured that some who would threaten it too much, were never born.

Knowing that you were likely to come, are but a half dozen of several hundred outcomes. And even among those, I could not tell what you sought exactly, as I cannot view my own future. Such is the curse of true sight. So much knowledge of what is to come, but with the burden of understand every consequences that might come, from taking action."

"Annoying little know it all."

"Perhaps I am, but I am an annoyance you have use of."

The element let out a hiss, as the seer gazed right at it, and answered what she had said. It seemed it weren't possible to hide a lie, to one who could see all truths. Frankly that just made her want to stab him, but at least for now, it were true. They had a need for him.

"As for your answer, the pathway I went in with, have collapsed upon itself, about halfway in. As such, they think it safe, and without need to guard further, until there can come someone in and fix it. If you were to dig your way through the rubble, it would lead you straight to the detainment chamber, behind their guard. You would have... Four minutes then, to find what you came for, before they had a chance to realize you were there, and lock you in. Were they do finish their chant by then, you will both find yourself, as just two more parts of the exhibition.

You have your answer now. Is that all? If so, leave, and fetch your prize. I assure you that we will meet again soon enough."

He were done with them for now, though if they did attempt to try and stab him still, Skall would find that the dagger would be stopped before it hit him, and be pushed back with substantial force. If he did not keep a good grip in it, it would get slammed into a wall, blade first. Zhu had seen the ways that Skall were, and understood the high chance of violence, even if there were no guarantee. So  he had prepared the last twenty five minutes to etch a protective rune into one of his primary scales, and had waited until he entered to scratch the last lines in the spell. It wouldn't last more than three minutes at best, and were rather draining, but it did the trick, in case Skall attempted to end his life. His duty were not yet finished, so this were a fate he would not consent to.

Besides, they would need him later. That much seemed almost certain. Though of course, there were no guarantee. Fate weren't real after all. The future were rarely that simple, much as he'd like it to be.

"What happens with your practices, are something we will see in due time. Personally I am not much of a fan of unsupervised witchery, but Princess Twilight have opened us up for a new age of tolerance, and acceptance. As such, I accept that certain rules might need to be looked at, and reevaluated again, if they are worth questioning. The ban on witchery is one of those, were what happens with it, will depend on what the princesses decide on the matter. We are but gathering examples for them, so that they can see what magic of this kind can cause, and give them our best suggestions. Dew are far more open to this than me, yet I am not unreasonable. I observe positives so far, which will factor into my report. I have just yet to be convinced that it is not best to have some degree of scrutiny into these matters. The kind of spell that were required to bring back your mother, is one of those who causes me to think that oversight is needed. It would not be for the best interest of Equestria, for unseen beings meddling with the sort of magic, that requires a substantial amount of fresh blood.

And before you attempt to use Shade as an example of hypocrisy, do not think that he is not very closely scrutinized, and kept on a short leash. His services is appreciated, but it does not mean I am neglectful of my job, as a protector of Equestria.

In any case, your mother is taking her time. If it takes much longer, perhaps it would be wise to go and ensure that she's safe? I would not imagine it should take this long to get wet blood from your coat. It should clean out somewhat easily. Though you know her better than I."

Unless something happened, Sorrow would arrive at the hospital later, as described. The nurse at the station, would direct her to where Windy were currently being given a thorough check, just like anypony else from the formerly haunted part of town were. A mare doctor, who were currently closely examining the ear that Windy had issues with before, and letting out a *hmmm* sound. Without context, it didn't really say a lot, but considering her horn were glowing, and varied things were floating off the wall, and out of cabinets, to land next to her, there seemed to be something she thought were important to work with.

"Besides the ear, have there been any other problems? Anything at all? Most who came from that part of town, have severe damage, suffers from lack of nourishment and water, varied trauma, and phycological issues. Anything out of the ordinary with you, could just be the start of either one of those issues manifesting. It's important that you tell me anything of note, beyond the problem with your ear. Even if you don't remember where you got the particular injury."

Sorrow would be there soon, but for now, Dr. Pin would be focused on treating Windy, as best she were able to. Which did require some degree of cooperation from the wonderbolt.

"It's hard to say what your true origins may be. It could well be that your race is simply very old, and harkens back to a time when most races were reptillian in nature. Though potentially there is some shared history with dragons, in your biology. Maybe one day, when some researchers have been allowed to test a few things, with your explicit permission, they will be able to find out if there is such a link.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if you were once ponies, or dragons, and some magical mishap happened, which caused your kind to mutate from either of them. Time and natural evolution then took things from there, as the generations went on. Though I understand that blaming it on magic, is not saying much. Keep in mind however, that as a layman, I can only guess. It will take researchers and historians to find some greater truth in all of this.

It is a fascinating thing to consider, but the answers will unfortunately have to wait for that. Much as I'd like to have all the answers, I sadly do not, and this is far beyond my degree of expertise. At this point, you know far more than I, though we have at least learned a common thing now. That being that longma does not deal with high temperature food all that well.

Though if you do try another time, keeping some degree of milk or yogurt at hoof, is a good idea. As you have experienced, it has a greatly soothing effect for things such as this. To a certain extent. At some point the chilies becomes so hot, that you would need a continued influx of several liters, to get through the process."

“Here, Rosa. I've got some water. Drink this if you need more.”

“Omen? Did you have something to do with this?”

Rosa rose a hoof, and waved it around dismissively, whilst clenching his eyes, and gulping down another helping of milk, before filling his muzzle again. Tears were rolling from his eyes, as the burn permeated through his head, and down his throat. Much as he'd likely like to answer something here, he were currently not able to do so, because of this strong burn. And to think, that mere minutes ago, he had a laugh over seeing this happen to Sen and Lin. Oh how the tables had turned.

As for Omen, she'd observe Rosa, up until Lin called her out. Afterwards, she'd turn and look up at her sister, innocently and curious as ever, and trying to read the look on the longma's face. It helped her understand emotions a little more, when she saw the face others had on, when doing so. Like when ponies laughed, she understood that as joy. Or when dragons growled, with their mouths shut, it meant they were irritated. but every race had their own expression, and she still had a lot to learn from the longma. And that were just regarding the few emotions she somewhat understood.

"Yes. I have seen ponies do this before. Somepony does something. Then they laugh. Then others do it to them, and they laugh. I think they called it a prank?"

She had wanted to try, as this situation were actually close to another one she had seen. Someone had dared a couple of others to try something, which had then made them act all strange, while he laughed. Then the other ones, had eventually made him eat the same thing and then they laughed.

"You and Sen looked bad before. I wanted to try and make you laugh too."

"I am not aware if they laughed, but - *gulp* - Aaah. It's a fair point. Just didn't think you'd be the one to - Grrragh!"

He tried to respond, but Rosa's usual, drawn out responses, were not fitting with this burning sensation he currently had. It were easing up, and he should have enough milkshake left for it, but darned be, he could still feel it sizzle. Karma were a real nasty one sometimes, and sadly currently, it wasn't like he could say he didn't deserve this. He just hadn't thought that Omen of all beings, were the one to try this on him. Pranks seemed beyond her, but he had gotten smarter from experience now. She couldn't make up her own pranks, likely, but she could replicate well, and it were his own fault for underestimating that aspect of her.

At least the others might have a solid laugh now.

“I feel pain from my back and chest” Windy was a little hesitant, not knowing whether she really broke some of her ribs...or worse. She is also clutching her chest, hinting that there could an injury inside her said body part or just hidden behind the uniform she still wore (despite being so dirty because of the dust she received fromm falling debris), but if she needed to take it off, then she would. Looking for the hospital didn't take her much time because of some of the victims of the haunting also coming to the hospital. She had yet to find Quill, Wine, and Sandy; the three ponies who helped her and Sorrow for only a small time during their mission to appease Autumn.

She could hear faint wailing somewhere in the Hospital, but she was able to ignore it, she wondered whether the doctor would ask her what really happened with the ravaged part of the town isnce 15 ponies have already arrived and some adding into the number, which would make both the Hospital and the mayor of Fillydelphia concerned and probably start questioning everyone, including her and Sorrow.

“I’m with Rosa on that one,” Sen added. “None of us thought you’d be pulling a prank, Omen, but I can see that you’re still surprising us.”

“And now that you’ve shown us what you’re capable of doing, I'm gonna have to stay vigilant.”

Lin chuckled, and although she didn’t explicitly show her laughter, she could find herself doing it more openly on another occasion. Who knows? Maybe the next prank might involve one of those whoopee cushions suddenly appearing on her seat. Or something involving whipped cream? The possibilities are endless once the ability to open gates and transport items comes into play. A combination of cunning and wit could make for a very efficient prankster.

Of course, the siblings couldn’t overlook one other aspect of the conversation that they couldn’t deny. Omen’s heart was in the right place, and even if they didn’t see it earlier, they are assured that the Ki’Nathar had good intentions behind the prank. Some may argue that the elements of a good prank rely on timing, a well-thought out setup, and a solid finish, there was still a motive to take into account. That last part got the siblings to smile a little more.

“If it makes you feel better, we appreciate what you tried to do,” Sen continued, placing one foreleg around Omen’s back. “I just wasn’t sure if Rosa could take the heat. I mean, you saw how we reacted when we ate your habanero rolls; Rosa could’ve had the same outcome.”

"Yeah. If you try to prank us again, please leave out the spicy food. I don't think my mouth will survive a second round."

Charir didn't touch Leviathan before Ruby said something to him, but it didn't seem he was wary or scared of Leviathan, instead he looked mostly confused since he didn't know what she was trying to tell him to do, he wasn't familiar with friendly gestures after all. After Ruby had said few words to him, Charir did carefully put his foreleg on Leviathan's hand, and wouldn't pull it away, even if she took hold of it, though he would tense up if she did.

Ruby then told him what to do, the good thing about Charir's fear towards her was that he didn't question what he was told to do.

There wouldn't be a sudden spike of magic, but there was something else going on, it wouldn't necessary be noticeable right away, but the sparks would lose bit of their energy every time they went through Charir, and this would happen for some time, most likely requiring more sparks from Leviathan if she wanted to continue to see what happens.

If she did decide to continue however, something would happen, it still wasn't burst of magic, but if she created enough sparks, electricity would start flowing visibly on Charir, it moved on top of his scales, claws and horns, arching between his claws and horns, and after it first became visible, it started to seemingly gain energy on it's own, in turn getting more visible. If it got to this point, it wouldn't seem like Charir felt anything, as he would be staring at his leg and only that one leg, seemingly unaware his whole body was covered in electricity.

----------------------------------------------
Nada just smiled as the sharkpony did its version of hug."I was heading to hunt some fish before we met." Nada responded "So yes hungry, but I like fish more, frogs are good, but fish is easier to hunt." or well, hunting frogs wasn't harder per say, but it was lot slower because frogs didn't hang out in big piles like fish did, and thus it was harder to get more than one frog at a time. She decided to finish with a sentence she was more certain the sharkpony would understand "Go hunt fish there?" she pointed in the direction she was originally going in.

---------------------------------------
Though it wasn't visible in any way for obvious reasons, Crow would most likely be able to tell from their connection that Scarecrow was staring to get more and more annoyed  about this whole thing, and depending on how deep that connection went, it could possibly also notice that with that annoyance, his true nature...or lack of it, came more visible so to speak, because while previously one could have thought that it was compassion that fueled him to help others, it would be apparent from his state of mind that his annoyance came less from the worry of Lyriel getting hurt, and from the worry of him failing to keep her safe. His goal would ultimately still be selfless of course, to get Lyriel out of this game even to his own loss, but the motivation behind it was selfish.

"Of course you're related..." he said sounding like he would have rolled his eyes if he still had them "...Just make sure to not do any tricks, I'll squish you if you do anything to hinder us further." he didn't care if Anomaly heard, he would kick her fruit of a head the next time he saw her regardless, sure it probably wouldn't do much, and he would probably become part of even more of her tricks after that, but it wasn't like he particularly enjoyed himself in his current state of existence either. He would then start walking, starting his search for way up.

Kaltrops gently placed her hoof back down on the table to look at her surprised and blinking.

"Oh? Curing the Hoof? I don't think I could. It's up to each their own to take care of their hygiene.

@Catpone Cerberus

"Okay! Looks like we're here!"

The floating ball of light the sprite was addressed the catpony, Cerberus, after they had reached their destination after what had seemed like longer than the roughly two days they had been travelling together. It turned to their left, lowering the floating map Cerberus conveiniently had, to address the situation in front of them.

Along the dusty, red rock cliffside they had been travelling stood a very narrow peak with a boulder perched precariously and on top of that, a small glint of gold levitating above. It was too far away from here to make out details of what it was, but it surely must have been important to glint gold from that far away. Importance makes things shiny! The compounding issue though, was that while this idol didn't seem to have any issue of stabilizing itself, the boulder it stood above was far bigger than the needlepoint spire beneath it and could give away if any unbalanced weight of, say, a pony were to be on one side of it for too long. Somehow, defying any currently written logic, the cliffside had eroded here a perfectly sharp mountain, but a wide, heavy boulder on top of it. While the spire itself was some distance away, the boulder was wide enough to come close to the cliffside the catpony was currently on, but a mere two or four meter/yard jump. Sure, feline reflexes were well known, but as how define their grace & accuracy...

"It looks like you can make it from here. But you have any ideas how to get across?

...and don't look at me." The sprite fluttered,  "Nothing about this form tells of me being able to support weight in flight."

@Windy Breeze

"On the bed then. Now please. And try to sit straight. If it hurts doing that, try and lay down on your side."

The doctor looked concerned, though her voice were stern, as to get through to Windy that this were no minor matter. Pain in the back could be from an impact, which were likely going to be a common story, considering the folks getting into the hospital currently. Rocks falling, or some other impact done on them, from the ruins of the abandoned part of town, where only the mad seemed to go in, and never return from. The details were not yet known, as at least from the few who she had heard the other doctors talking about, there were no word on what happened. Either they didn't remember, or they didn't want to talk about it.

Still, they had to ask, and she would ask Windy in time too, so that hopefully, they'd have something to tell the mayor. Soon as she were satisfied that the mare were not severely injured that were.

Which brought her to the main concern: The mare's heart. Which sounded like a far more concerning prospect, far as she were concerned. Back giving in could be fixed relatively simple, with time and patience. Heart issues were far more severe, and had to be checked up on immediately.

Floating a stethoscope over, she'd equip it, and approach Windy. When she got there, and the mare seemed ready for it, she'd push against her chest with the cold metal disk that she'd need pressed against her chest, and listened carefully.

"Take a few deep breaths, and try to explain the pain in your heart to me, as best you can. We will move on to the back after that, though you might need to have a full body scan taken. It may simply be bend ribs pushing against your chest, and a bruised back, but it could be worse, and I'm not keen on taking the risk."

"Master Discord said you can learn a lot from doing things. Sometimes I try to do what I have seen others do. Sometimes I learn something. Other times, beings yells."

It depended a lot on what she were doing, as well as the situation in which she were doing it, to be fair. She found that many times, copying movements near the one doing them, were seen as a bad thing, as the yelling came around then. Copying things she had heard others say were very mixed though, and mostly lead to confused looks. Though as before she met Sen, few talked with her, that weren't something she experienced often. Nor the first option. Mostly, it were trying to repeat actions in some situations, as she had seen others do it, and try to see if she could learn context. In this case, a prank, which seemed to have gone well, yes? Rosa laughed before, now Sen and Lin seemed more cheerful than before she had done this. So it were a succes? She'd assume so, though she had to mull this one over for a while.

"It may be simpler to instead say that she just sho-"

Rosa would stop up, with the almost bottomed out cup to his muzzle, ready to lick the last, precious drops from it, as he felt a surge again. Yet it seemed to dim over the next few seconds and he'd slowly lower it again, unsure of how safe he should be feeling right now.

"...As I were saying, simply try not to do pranks involving food, please. Your taste buds are very different from ours, Omen. What seems slightly tasty for you, could be overwhelming, or potentially even dangerous for us. It is best to not take too many chances regarding food, with that in mind."

He'd get the sentence out fully, so that were good. But he'd also be taking the cup he had drunk from, and bottom it up, to get everything into his muzzle then. Including padding it on the bottom, to try and force a droplet or two more out of it. It were likely amusing for the others, but this were a prime example of why he didn't like spicy food. Not that he could judge what happened though. At this point, it were just simply karma, for him having his own laugh before.

"Your drinks are gone. I will get more."

Before they'd be able to respond to that, Omen would be gone, and wander over to where the line for the cart seemed to start. She'd grab a pretzel too though, for the road. The loop were a good place to hold it with her tongue, a nd the salt tasted interesting, so it were her second preferred snack, right after the rolls. Of which there were several left, and none of her friends seemed to want them, so she had time to eat them later.

"It's certainly an experience already. From the adrenaline highs, to a nasty burn. Praise the moon the worst is over.

It were a matter of time before we were the one who had to learn a lesson from Omen though, I suppose. I did not expect it to be this. Nor how she seems to have attained a degree of understanding, for when an action of kindness like gaining us more to drink currently, seems like a welcome action. I think you two are starting to brush off on her, in all the best ways possible."

He gazed over, and looked at Omen's now empty cup, sitting on the bench, and gained a little smirk.

"Or perhaps she were thirsty for more, and thought we'd like to gain more too. It seems like she have found something she enjoys too.

And speaking of enjoyment, we do need to look forward and find some games soon. I can't keep Sen waiting for that crushing defeat I have promised him after all. I know how he have looked forward to it. And this time, I will not underestimate your meddle either, Lin. You've proven dangerous to bet against."

He'd swirl a pretzel around his muzzle, trying to get the salt to dry out the juices there, though it likely did just about nothing. He just liked to think it did, and hope that the worst of the burn were done with, while they passed the time, and finished their meal. Minus the rolls that were. He weren't gonna touch those again, if he could help it. Once had been plenty enough.

Leviathan would slowly, and gently, pull her had back a little, so that she weren't grabbing his foreleg, as much as his actual hand. As she got there, he grip would be very loose, with her fingers not even making full contact, even if the palm of her hand did. This were gonna test enough of his boundaries, without gher getting grubby and seeming like she might be trying to drag him along.

Hmm, peculiar. He weren't making sparks of his own currently, though she were sure that he tried. However, she felt like something were being taken away, and she couldn't say for sure if it were by him. Though it were assured that her magic was weakening right now. Juggling weather magic, you had to know the strength of the magic you set in, to get the right sort of weather, so she knew well when her magic were being regulated. She could feel it, as well as see how it dwindled, and she to add more strength to the sparks, to maintain them at their base level. A pretty unusual development so far.

Still, she'd feed more magic into it if it were, to see where this would go. It seemed like it could end up being important, though she'd be a little wary. Who knew where this could lead?

If she did decide to continue however, something would happen, it still wasn't burst of magic, but if she created enough sparks, electricity would start flowing visibly on Charir, it moved on top of his scales, claws and horns, arching between his claws and horns, and after it first became visible, it started to seemingly gain energy on it's own, in turn getting more visible. If it got to this point, it wouldn't seem like Charir felt anything, as he would be staring at his leg and only that one leg, seemingly unaware his whole body was covered in electricity.

This certainly wasn't what she had in mind... It were certainly interesting, but she weren't sure what to make of it, as he eventually seemed to... For a lack of a better word, *attune* to the energies. It were the best she had to guess on this whole thing, though she were nowhere near sure about it. It just kind of seemed like he had been draining up some of the sparks from before, and now his own internal magic were playing along with it. Seemingly completely without him relaxing it, seeing how he didn't react to it going on. Which also meant it didn't hurt him, so that were a good thing. Last thing you needed, were getting hurt by your own magic, whenever you used it.

"I'm not sure what to make of this. Either he's eating up my magic, and it's funneled through him somehow, or he's attuning in some sort of way, and doesn't realize it. He seems safe though, so let's try to up the ante a little..."

She'd slowly, but steadily increase the strength of her own electricity output, causing the sparks to be more numerous and large, until they'd eventually start to become small strikes of lightning, coursing around their scales. She'd try to focus it all to stay near their hands, to see if his own magic would replicate it in some way, or what else would happen. Something interesting at least. That much she were sure of, at this point. Though he might also just jerk his hand away before it got much further, and it would end. She really had no idea.

"F-iiiish. Fish. Hunting fish. Fish food."

After tasting the word, and sorting out how to pronounce it - she seemed to have some rudimentary bunch of words, but weren't sure how to say them, until she forced them out the first time - the mare looked up at Nada with a big, toothy grin on her face, and waited excitedly. Her thin little wings vibrated in pure anticipation. Whatever a fish were, she looked forward to hunting it, and seeing what it were that Nada considered food. She had no idea that the scaled thing she tore into earlier and ate, were a fish. Before all of this, she didn't have that sort of name for them. They were just what she instinctually knew as being food. Along with crabs, and basically all other things in the area, that moved slowly enough to be caught. Best hope she didn't keep these traits for long, or it'd get awkward if she ever visited a pet shop.

She weren't sure why Nada were pointing though, and would quickly go on to instead look at her hoof, if she did not lower it rather fast, thinking that perhaps she were holding something she were supposed to see. Maybe a really big frog egg, or one of those fish she were talking about? In any case, once Nada got on the move, so would she. She'd follow the siren closely behind, swimming all the way if possible, and listening to the sounds of the forest. The creaking, the howling of wolves, the distant growl of a bear- And of course the usual bird chirping and critters moving about in the autumn leaves, gathering food for the cold season. It were honestly rather calm and pleasant right now.

Crow did indeed feel some of what were rolling in from Scarecrow's side, and it were making the trickster rummage even more, whilst letting out increasingly prolonged, hollow sounding coos. Sounded like it were struggling to get loose, and do something about the situation, which he assumed had something to do with the small creature that had been near it before. One whom it found to be looking like trouble as well.

"...Just make sure to not do any tricks, I'll squish you if you do anything to hinder us further."

"Hey, that's not nice! If I weren't told I weren't allowed to pulverize others... Hmph. I haven't even done anything to hinder you once. Mom just brought me here to try and get off the island for a change, and then you show up out of nowhere, with the tummy tentacle thingie over there."

Rose were kind of offended. Here she were, innocently enjoying her first time off the island ever, since Anomaly figured that her training to act nicely around others were going well enough to try, and then these two just popped in outta nowhere, and She got flak for it? She should've made them into a fine powdered dust, but then she wouldn't get off the island for a long time again, and she didn't want to stay there. Lumen were fun and all, but she wanted to go out and see real ponies and stuff. When you were used to crazy, normal just seemed so enticing and strange of a prospect.

"That doesn't mean I'm bad, or messing with you. See? I can help too."

Rose would raise her hand, and a strike of thunder erupted from her hand, and connected to the rocks keeping Crow down. Yet it were not some regular, blindingly glowing strike of electricity. This one were dark. Blacker than tar, as if the very light getting near it were getting sucked in and vaporized. And vaporized described well what'd happen to the stone, as it were essentially there one second, and the next, all that remained, were a small section of fine black powder, that were slowly falling to the ground. It'd do two things:

1. Reveal a half-broken staircase that lead upwards, into what would turn out to be an old wine cellar. Just minus the wine, and plus a lot of rather gross, vinegar-like smells..

And 2. Release Crow, who got up, shook himself, and then turned to face Scarecrow and Rose. The latter whom he'd give a very direct glare - somewhat impressive for someone without real eyes - and raise his wings ominously towards. It seemed he were getting ready to attack this one. Something which likely would have a rather bad outcome for one of them.

“This is nice, all of this. I hope I could convince the folks back home to give meeting other creatures a chance.  They’re really missing out on experiences like this. I’m glad Omen’s finding things she enjoys. And on the matter of enjoyment, I think I’m really getting into this little competition of ours!”

“Crushing defeat, eh Rosa? Don’t get too cocky! I may still have some surprises lined up, and I’m sure Omen has a few more, too.”

While the siblings were waiting for Omen to return with some more drinks, Sen thought about going over his pack to see what he had that could liven up the occasion. Surprisingly enough, he still had some Apple family pie and cider stashed in his saddle bag, all neatly packed. No way he’d be leaving this to go stale, and he did save it for Lin’s consumption.

Lin sampled the goods and found herself enamored by the taste. If anyone ever doubted the claims that Apple family delicacies are overrated, she’d quickly prove them wrong. Combined with everything she ate just minutes ago, this would probably the best smorgasbord of unhealthy food, but just savoring all of the flavors right now feels so right.

“Oooh, let’s sit here for a little while. This apple pie and cider are delicious! I bet you two had a good time in Appleloosa if you also had some of this. Mmm… I’ll save some of this for Omen; she ought to have a taste.”

“So, Rosa, if you are eager to break the tie, I think you should have first pick on the next game. You’d probably like to have an advantage”

Windy obeyed. She tried to sit straight but feel slight pain in her body, so she decided to lay down on her side. She was worried if her injury would make her stay in the hospital and how the news of the paranormal incident will spread, considering a Wonderbolt was involved, if the news spread throughout Equestria, no doubt it will reach both Ponyville, Cloudsdale, and the Wonderbolts Academy. She felt a sense of dread, she has to be careful of her words if it comes to that. There is also no doubt they would question her, she just has to give them the cause of her injury and not the whole story.

When the doctor put a stethoscope and told her what do to, she take a few deep breaths before saying “I don't feel any pain from my heart right now, but I do faint when I become overly hysterical of my emotions, specially when i'm very scared”

It was nice to see the avatar of the goddess enjoying the festival presented to her as well.  If she hung out in his head, or taint upon his wisp if that was how her essence as getting to him, then it wouldn't be much longer before she could experience the real thing.  The Mid-Autumn festival wasn't that too far off for his neighborhood.  Rising could probably make some good headway on that using a bit of his R&R time off to get with this year's director for any help they may need.  "Maybe a little joy Equestria can bring to Harrowmark," the detective remarked.  It wasn't all that hard to imagine Princess Twilight would be all about a little cultural exchange here and there.

Loona Dew returned, finding herself in a newly altered dream.  At least she didn't try the usual Dream Warden maneuver and hide in his dream.  Quick of her to give up, but he just supposed the effort wasn't worth it.  The unicorn walked up to where Rising had taken his post just outside the park entrance.  "Looks like your story checks out.  The Lunar Guard had received a report from somepony of great influence, or at least loud influence," the Dream Warden reported.  Rising nodded, that sure sounded like The Captain.  "So... you really went to Harrowmark to stop a dark entity from attacking Manehatten?" the mare inquired.  Her tone had changed, became softer.  Clearly a rare moment for a pony who might have heard of or only see such things in another's ponies fantasies through their dreams.  Rising nodded, "No dream," he affirmed.  "Wow..." she was surprised.  She'd only heard of the O.M.I. in passing, but the news of Manehatten's attack were well known.  Plus they haunted many a pony's dreams.  The Dream Wardens assigned to Manehatten have been busy the last few nights.

Rising hadn't managed to get another word in before Loona took a moment to notice the content of the dream she was standing in.  "The Brookdale's Mid-Autumn Festival?" her eyes sparkled and she slowly stepped up to the entrance to look inside.  "Last year's," the detective added while the mare took in the sight.  He could feel his heart skip a beat.  If she knew about the Mid-Autumn Festivals, the likeliness of her living in Manehatten just increased.  Of course though, it could be something she learned from a Manehatten's dream.  "Flank Square doesn't do one," she told the dreamer, her tone a bit sad.  Reaching out to the air, she twisted her hoof to the side and the dream fast forward.  The festival went on.  Another Rising separated from the main one and joined in the sped up festival, going back stage to help with the special effects to the play that was about to begin.  She stopped the fast forwarding and the dream played at regular speed.  Another Loona Dew, dressed in a scarf and designer puffy jacket.  Much like her current self, simply looked past the entrance at the festival.  Moving on after a few moments, she wasn't part of this community to join.  Rising watched as her past self walked past him and disappeared outside the dream.  Rising blinked, "We don't check IDs or anything.  Anypony is welcome."  Flank Square was downtown, she must be from Manehatten.  "Would you like to come this year?" he invited with a smile.  The Dream Warden looked over her shoulder at him and then back at the festival, "I'd love to."

Bash twisted the crystal he was looking through from side to side.  Casting the volcano pony in hues of red, orange and purples.  Taking in her heat index and where it was all located throughout her body.  "It's from Harrowmark.  I'm studying it," the earth pony replied simplistically.  Starbright was pretty sure based on what she'd learned about Magma, that it wasn't going to likely sate her curiosity.  Not that much of anything Bash ever said was very sating, already getting more words from him at this moment than most of the week.  Over the years many of the agents had attuned to the language of his grunts, but a passer by like Magma might not.  Bash finally grunted and put his crystal away.  "You're hot," Flare translated but got a strange look from Starbright, completely unaware of how his statement could have been taken.  "Stressed?" Bash inquired.  Something was causing her core to bubble against the crust that was her shell, like a volcano wanting to release pressure.

"Calm calm calm, darling.  It appears this has caused you distress, but please take some deep, deep breaths," Cork tried to calm the stamping pony.  Not quite the level of panics the agents had gotten use to around Wind Gale.  A paper bag wasn't something either of them thought to pack in their saddle bags.  "We don't have the full play by play yet of the events that happened in Harrowmark.  We were here in Manehatten fighting off the abominations the dark wizard had sent to attack us.  Rising went on R&R shortly after his return but I'm sure he'll have a story to tell when he does.  Captain Minty took his report to our rulers.  If Rising and Minty say he defeated the dark wizard, then I believe it whole heartedly.  Would you smelling the magic on him not merely be the same left overs you are feeling here out in the street?  I cannot say what efforts Harrowmark might have pit against him, but using magic against Rising is kinda..." Gold Mane twirled her hoof, looking for the right word.  "Pointless," Cork picked on for her.  Trying to not trigger any more alarms for Omen, remembering her comments about the fear of a pony with Rising's powers.  "Wouldn't hurt to... check on him?" a chance could still exist.  Neither of them could sense magic like Rising or Omen.  But who would they trust more?  A stranger from Harrowmark or their own detective?  "It would put Omen at ease," Gold Mane concluded, but still didn't seem comfortable about the whole idea.

It were the very last thing she were able to reply, before Loona were once more among them. A fine timing truly, as her response were not one which required a response really. It were mere confirmation that Rising might be right, that this culture she were shown, had parts which the mortals of Harrowmark might enjoy. Especially after this long in a darkness, which had long tainted the country. Yet as mentioned, her people were paranoid and untrustworthy towards outsiders. They had to be, with all the darkness that flowed through their lands. You never knew when a monster might try and lure you from the path, or an outsider came in, thinking that their small country were ripe for exploitation.

Another worry had been regarding potential spies, sent by Twisted. This shouldn't be a big concern anymore, with him gone, but she imagined that there would still be some tenuous situations, where they thought someone might be working on bringing him back somehow. Much as he tormented most, certain individuals had gotten powerful and well rewarded, for their brutal, inequine acts towards their fellow country-ponies, done in his name. They would be dealt with now she would assume, and their spirits would not find kindness with her, if she were offered them, yet some were bound to escape. The mortals were likely to be worried of what they might try, to regain what they had lost.

Still, the princess would have the support of their savior, who had both saved them all, and carried the favor of Viz'nay's high priestess. The cultural meaning of the latter, and the personal adoration most would feel towards him for the former, were not insignificant, and would mark Rising as one, who were to be welcomed and protected as much as they would any other they knew. And paranoid as they were, Harrowmark did what they could to help their own. Which should be far easier now, that Twisted were no longer robbing them of their resources, to keep them in line. Or used as punishments on a whim.

Long as Rising gave his support to his princess, she would be offered a chance to speak, and her word would be taken into consideration as something to think about. Unless she did something mind-numbingly stupid, in which case, they might start to disregard her opinion on things.

The goddess observed in silence, as the courtship went on. Starting with Loona's question regarding Rising's actions, after she had found his claims to be true. Then came acceptance, and at least from her perspective, a degree of admiration. The mare had likely only seen heroism like this presented as fantasies, and not something that were ever likely to be reality. Now though, she were in the dream og a legitimate hero, and now that she had that confirmed, it appeared as if there might be something forming from this. Though she may be wrong. The hearts of mortals, were not a simple thing to explain in full. They had their varied desires and wants, and so far, it were but a small glimmer she believed she saw. Time would tell more.

Time would come into effect soon after too, as she began to push the dream forward, to show herself, looking at the festival longingly, before moving on. Something which were not there were she lived it seemed, and she did not think she would be welcome to join in on this, as she were not part of the area. This Viz'nay could understand, though it confused her somewhat to see it here. She assumed from what she had seen so far, that Equestria were far more inclusive to others. And especially when they were still citizens of the same country. Peculiar to see an exception to this, though it might be self-imposed. Rising surely seemed to indicate so, when he took his chance to say something.

3 hours ago, Rising Dusk said:

Aah, he seemed to have made his move now, and had been successful. The first step on this courtship, but the first were the most important, and it pleased her to see that he had done well, in his attempt with the mare.

"𝕿𝖍𝖊𝖓 𝕴 𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖍 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖇𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖆 𝖇𝖑𝖊𝖘𝖘𝖊𝖉 𝖉𝖆𝖞, 𝖜𝖍𝖊𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖋𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖛𝖆𝖑 𝖓𝖊𝖝𝖙 𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖘. 𝕳𝖔𝖕𝖊𝖋𝖚𝖑𝖑𝖞 𝖎𝖙 𝖜𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖇𝖊 𝖑𝖔𝖓𝖌. 𝕴 𝖎𝖒𝖆𝖌𝖎𝖓𝖊 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖈𝖔𝖚𝖑𝖉 𝖇𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖉𝖔 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 𝖆 𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖆𝖝𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖓𝖙."

She'd utter this down at the two ponies, while she were fluttering around a rather alluring street light, which caught her eye for a short time, though her attention were still mainly on the two below. She just figured she'd leave them be, as much as she could, unless directly addressed. Their courtship would likely go better via her non-interference. Though she still wished to give them her blessing. IN words only so far though. She needed to conserve her energy some, so she would save an actual blessing for them both, until another night, or when she were ready to leave this one. Her energy would not last remaining here currently, after casting that. Making the connection here had already been tiring enough, considering the distance, even with her energy in his presence. Well worth it though, to meet the one who saved them more face to face, than when she had stopped Suushan from tearing him apart. Blessed be this pony, that he had proven worth her efforts.

"Harrowmark? Can't say I've heard of that before, but they seem to have some fascinating botany."

Geography were not exactly her main study area as it were, and Harrowmark were far from a well known place, all things considered. They had spent too long being isolated to make a mark most places, and the country were tiny on the world maps you could find. Barely a blimp on the map, compared to the massive size of Germane, just beneath it. A surprisingly resilient country that were not easy to invade though. Even before Twisted, they did not tolerate invaders, and dealt with them with a surprising amount of ferocity. Surely helped them too, that they were backed by their gods, and fighting on their home turf. They knew how to use the horrors of the land to their advantage. Mostly on defense though, so long as no one went and tried to mess with them, they would historically leave others alone. Except for a few centuries in far less developed times in any country, but that were ancient history, and they had no interest in returning to those barbaric times.

As for Magma, she remained curious about the plant, but also aware that it were likely very unwise for her to approach this plant. Maybe she could acquire a copy of his research report on it some day though, if she tried not to annoy him? It might reveal some fascinating property, that would have usage in some of her old projects.

4 hours ago, Rising Dusk said:

"You're hot,"

Magma looked at Flare, and let out a brief, joyless laugh at this short sentence.

"I miss the days when that were said as a compliment, rather than being a stated fact."

A depressing thing really, but what could she do about it? Nothing were the answer, and she were well aware of it. And it wasn't like it were all bad. It were just a major change in how she had to live, and at times, confronted with phrases like this, it reminded her of simpler times. Back when she didn't need to think of heat exhaustion and potential lava pooling in her own being, and could respond to comments about her hotness with a swift throw of a vial of some sort. She had been busy, and had no time for that sort of thing then. Maybe she should have been more open to those things, and things would have turned out differently.

But as thought, there were nothing she could do about it. So best to just take a few deep breaths, and try to move away from the semi-depressing memories, and keep the existential crisis away for another day.

4 hours ago, Rising Dusk said:

"Stressed?" Bash inquired.  Something was causing her core to bubble against the crust that was her shell, like a volcano wanting to release pressure.

This question helped to take her out of it a little more, as she refocused her gaze on Bash, and tried to discern what he had meant by that.

The question more or less answered itself, when a small part of her lower back, just above the flank cracked, and a two second vent of warm steam blew upwards out of her, before her hide patched up again. Consequently, her core temperature would become more stable again, were Bash to check once more. The steam would not be harmful, of massively hot. It'd be about the same as the steam when you initially opened a preheated oven.

"O-Oh, that, yes. My apologies. Sometimes I am required to vent off some excess heat like this, and it automatically happens. It is more or less the same when a regular pony eats something that causes an amount of gastrointestinal gas to build, and need to release it. Just with less in the way of smell, and without the ability to keep it in for long. Usually I can feel when it is about to happen, but I were a little distracted it seems. This is... Rather embarassing, honestly."

She'd blush a little, and look away sheepishly. Letting wind go like this, in a crowded office? Unseemly behavior for a research assistant, even if it weren't exactly a fart, as much as it were a natural release of build up heat. It did not mean that it were any less embarrassing to her though, as she considered it to be about the same thing.

"Direct control, and residual magic, are different. Residual magic is fading, and more untangible. Like a smell wafting in the breeze. Direct magic still kept active is more like standing right in front of a cake, and smelling it. If the cake was made of the sort of thing that makes torture seem like a great evening."

She for one, had no interest in eating a cake made of that sort of thing. Nor a pie, for that matter. If she wanted to taste unbridled misery, she'd eat swamp matter. And that still seemed like a far better meal than something that carried the stench of malice and unbridled evil.

"His magic lingers longer though, since he's also using primordial magic. Stolen magic, far as I am concerned too. He doesn't deserve the magic he have tricked Suusha into giving him, and keeps getting more of, by corrupting our god.

I'm not saying your detective would like to be serving him. Very few does so willingly, from what the legends say. But he could have gotten corrupted. I could tell that if it were, since that'd be a load of magic right there. Urgh, it's gonna make me vomit again too I fear, like the last time I ran into some of his stuff. You won't believe how much pure evil reeks.

If... If somehow what you claim is true though, I want proof. If he meddled with Twisted, and got away after, the waft of his magic is still gonna linger around him. It'd be a heavy residue, but I could tell, and... I pray that you're the ones that're right. I just have a really hard time believing that a regular pony could do this. Unless... Nono, that's crazy. Is he immune to magic? Is that what you meant? That might do something... Twisted's always relief on his magic, and his servants. If he were strong, i-it..."

Grave wanted to believe this, and the prospect of it perhaps being true, made her heart race. If Rising were not affected by magic, and were good with a blade, he might have actually managed to get close enough to stab Twisted through his dark heart, and prevent him from rewinding to a time when he were unscathed. It weren't gonna make her returning willingly to Harrowmark if it were true, but she would feel a joy unlike any she had ever experienced at the news, if they were true. Even though her paranoia, and ingrained understanding of Twisted, still made her struggle with the idea that he could ever be defeated.

"Come on, I'll look at him. And please just say Grave. It's what my friends would have called me."

It hung somewhat in the air, that there were a silent *If they were alive* in the air, but she weren't gonna bring that up herself. She'd rather urge out of here, and find out the truth. Either that Rising were in trouble, that he were controlled, or that somehow, he were successful. She were pretty eager and nervous to find out which one it were.

"I'm certain you do. I just wanted to add a little drizzle of competitive teasing into the matter. A few challenging words, so to speak. I'm sure it will not go as smoothly as I am implying."

He had already been proven to underestimate them all on several occasions now, and he were most certain that they'd end up showing him a side of themselves that really surprised him again. Maybe Omen would turn out to be a master aimer? Or Sen were able to shoot things more or less blinded? Lin might end up cleaving with a force that were not the be trifled with too. Just a few examples off the top of his head, but he did hope that he'd end up losing some games against them, even when he went all out. It were far more fun if there were a more even playing field, with them having each their specialty that they won in, which they could then try to reach the top of.

He'd bow out of any eating competition right away though. He couldn't compete against Omen there. Be it strong food, or a large mass of it, he were sure she'd devour the prize. Literally, if someone didn't stop her from actively trying to eat any prize she were given, from her thinking it were the next thing she had to eat.

While he sat and got a smile on his face, thinking over this, Rosa saw to his surprise, that Sen had remembered to keep the goods from the Apple farm on him all this time, and had just pulled it forth for Lin to try. He had honestly forgotten about this, considering everything else that had gone on the last day or so. Things had suddenly gone rather hectic and odd.

He'd scratch at his own leg, where the charm Elder Ghilan had put upon him were. Funny how he had gotten so used to this being there already, that he had completely tuned out it were there, and might have been best to hide away a few times so far. Thankfully, it had been secured rather well, when Ghilan had put it on. Though he were saddened some, that he had forgotten to thank the elder for this gift. It were likely of some importance, and not mentioning it were likely not a kind thing from Rosa's side. Maybe he could have Lin and Sen send word back to the elder when they had time, one of these days? He didn't want to seem unappreciative after all.

He did find it oddly soothing to run his hoof over the orchid ornament, and feeling the petals and vines under his touch. Maybe because it reminded him of someone he had helped? Whatever the reason, he were appreciative of it, and had to remember to have it stashed with Sen and Lin before tomorrow. He didn't want to risk it being ruined in some box, stashed in a warehouse somewhere.

“So, Rosa, if you are eager to break the tie, I think you should have first pick on the next game. You’d probably like to have an advantage”

"You needn't worry about Omen. She tried it when we were there. Which reminds me: Do not encourage her to drink by tilting her head backwards. I am not sure exactly what Discord did wrong, but it caused a mobile, seemingly flesh eating plant to grow from her ear. Reminds me that I have to deliver that somewhere, to have it examined. I am not sure what the deal with it is, but I feel rather certain that it is some sort of invasive, dangerous species.

As for the game... If you insist, I know just the thing. We are to find a place where you compete with throwing knives or darts. If you want a challenge, I would like you to test your meddle against my aim. I warn you though: I have trained for years to effectively hit with most thrown weapons. At a good distance too, I might add.

Though to even it out, perhaps we then also go for a place with... Bows, I assume? Hunters tends to pride themselves in skill with bows and arrows, yes?"

"It sounds as if you might have a problem with your circulation then. If your blood flow isn't able to keep up with your increased heart rate, from situations like high amounts of fever, it could easily cause pain. Fainting would be a fairly normal symptom too. Though it could also be that your blood isn't getting oxygenized enough. There's multiple things it could relate to, including anemia, asthma, and respiratory issues."

A light would go off on her horn, as she'd move on to check Windy's lips, to see if there were a blueness to them. If it didn't seem to be the case, that were good. Meant it weren't all that wide spread of a thing currently. Though if it were, she'd give a very concerned look to Windy, and then go on to check her legs near the hooves, to see if she'd find a similar thing beneath her coat.

"We have treatments for the varied things I can think of this being, even if it is a chronic disease. Medicine can help on that too, so you don't have to be afraid. But that being said, I need to ask more questions, and take some samples. And you're not allowed to leave the hospital for now. It might be treatable, but this could be serious, and when I don't know exactly what the issue is, I can't in good consciousness, release you. I know this isn't optimal, but especially for a Wonderbolt, it is crucial. If you suddenly pass out from a lack of oxygen, you could severely hurt yourself in the fall.

Now then, how long have you had these symptoms? And when it happens, do you feel a shortness of breath, and dizziness? Perhaps just dizziness? Maybe headaches too? Is it only in situations of high emotions these incidents occur too? Ah, and I need to know if you have felt stressed lately, at work? Stress can be dangerous too, and as a Wonderbolt, I'm sure you have to deal with that at times, yes? Does the incidents coincide with when you graduated their academy, by chance? Or have you had a lot to do in recent weeks?"

While she talked and asked away, she'd take a blood sample. Not much of a warning though, besides holding Windy's leg still, and showing off the syringe for a few seconds before boring it in. If she had to, she'd pull up part of Windy's suit to get access to her leg, without ruining the outfit. If that were not possible, she'd instead go for a part less covered that she could drain blood from. In any case, it'd be an quick and relatively painless process, that'd end with Windy getting a patch on the point of the needle, and her momentarily going over to the door, to get the attention of a nurse that could get this vial to their basement test facility. A few words to him about what to check for, and she'd be back, while he went on his way. It was a busy day, and the ones flocking in were not making it any less so, to put it mildly. All their staff had to remain active and alert, to get them through today.

That sounds bad Windy thought. She continue to listen to the nurse. After all, listening gives you more knowledge than saying more words and at least she knew she had no anemia, or asthma since this wasn't the first doctor who too notice of her heart problem. She let the nurse examine her lips, and when she noticed the nurse wass going to check her legs, she immediately strip herelf of her uniform without saying any word and also shutting her eyes tightly.

She cringed at thought of losing unconscious in mid flight. No one desired for a Windy pancake coated with red blood syrup, it was both horrifying and embarrasing to die in that way since she's a pegasus.

“I think my heart problems have been with me for several years now” it was better to make the doctor know of the origin, even though she doesn't want to talk about it “I was an adolescent when I got fatally struck by a weather while attempting to move away a dangerous storm from my previous workplace, my mother told me that i went into a coma for a month.

I am just lucky that my heart problem only occur when my emotions become too strong. Dizziness was the only warning before I lose consciousness.

Being stressed while in the Wonderbolts Academy was something natural to me, but I do become overly stressed sometimes, especially when an accident occur but I mostly enjoyed being there most of the time” she remembered all the best moments she had in the Academy, from eating a blueberry under the shadows of a lone tree by the landing strip, to pranking Soarin'. Just remembering those precious memories made her sound and act as if Autumn's horror did not ever happen and as if she was talking to a friend and not inside a room of a Hospital. It's up to the doctor how she would act, either she go with the flow or try to use this as a chance to get a story out of her about what happened at the abandoned part of the town.

“Well… I don’t think I’d like to know what a living plant that actively eats things would look like. That sounds like something that could come straight out of my nightmares, like that one time I thought the forest came to life and a simple blade of grass was a literal blade. I couldn’t walk across it without cutting myself.”

“I saw that plant and… let’s just leave it at that. No way would I want to risk introducing something like it to the forest. Besides, the forest is dangerous enough; I’d rather not have something terrorizing the traveling caravans along the roads.”

Terrible nightmares aside, Lin’s example was a tamer one compared to the likes that she and her brother experience during their exile. There was always something up about how the mind can create a greatly exaggerated version of current events, bringing their greatest fears to life and magnifying them to a greater degree. Sometimes, it was some of the more childlike fears. On other days, the nightmares get all too real. They can joke about them now, but other times just need the company of a good friend to listen to the retelling. Either way, there was always a way to alleviate the fears.

With the conversation shifting toward how to spend the evening and what games they should play, Rosa’s suggestion to play something that requires excellent aim was a pretty good one. The longma would like to see Rosa show off his skills and test theirs against him. Win or lose, it’ll be a spectacle, though it would require some compromise. The carnival probably didn’t have something that could replicate the way things are done back home.

“Umm… we don’t really have bows back home, and I don’t think there are carnival games that let us throw spears at small targets. We would use those for hunting fish in the river and I think any pony with a game like that would throw us out for daring to suggest using custom implements.”

“Would there be something like it but with smaller tools? And probably with nonliving targets? I’m all for playing a friendly game where I’m at a disadvantage but I’d prefer it if we don’t put everyone around us in danger. Actually, what about that thing you suggested? Knives? You just throw those and try to hit a target with them, right?”

"For the record, the description *A living plant that eats things* does actually describe some of the Evergrown rather well. Some variants of them do actually eat meat, and they are, in a sense, living plants. I seriously doubt you'd be in any danger though. From what I've been told, they mostly stick with fish and small birds. Though even then, from what the one I've been talking to have told me, this variation of them are rare. Most of them are strictly vegetarian, with only a little protein added from bugs.

Dryads too are living plants, but they can get all of their energy, purely from sunlight and water. At least that's what the literature says. I've never actually seen one of them. They're an elusive bunch."

Perhaps this were not the best of times for him to spout off some information that he had, but it were a habit that were hard to put away, and it seemed relevant, once the concept of living plants that ate things, came up.

He'd keep some things to himself though. Such as his knowledge that there were actually flesh eating plants, which preyed on larger targets, such as ponies or other, pony-sized creatures. It would seem somewhat relevant, but it would only make them concerned about fauna, and these sorts of plants were strictly growing in jungles. They could not make it outside of those humid, warm areas, so the odds of Sen or Lin running into them outside of going to one, were miniscule. Best to not disturb them further by adding something then, that would only be relevant if they went to one, which he doubted were going to happen anytime soon. If they told him they were, he'd be able to deal with it from there, with some degree of luck.

"As for the plant in question, you needn't worry. It is safely stored in a small pouch, in... My belt..."

His eyes suddenly went wide, and his heart rate increased. This were bad . If this plant were still in said pouch, Elder Ghilan would have gotten it with him. Maybe he had accidentally let that lose, and it had now planted itself somewhere in his village? What sort of horri-

A light suddenly blinked to life in his head again, and the panic began to slowly ebb out of him.

"I took the pouch out of the belt, because I didn't want to risk dropping it. It's in the cave, thank the stars. I was afraid I had just about caused a nightmare to occur."

He had just about managed to calm down again, before they reached this second half of the questions, and it were revealed that they didn't use bows for hunting. Apparently, they were spear users. A fair mistake he'd think, as both were good for their chosen profession, though not something that'd be easy to find here.

"I think finding actual spear throwing in a crowded festival, is a little unlikely. That's more the sort of thing for medieval gatherings. Though your description of throwing something akin to spears, but in a smaller size, is something they should have. It's called Darts. Essentially small spears, you throw at a board. The more precise, the more points. It's probably easier to show you when it is.

As for throwing things like knives to boards, that is the sort of thing I specialize in. In a sense. It were not workable for me to carry around a large sword, so minor weapons that were easier to hide on my person, were preferable. Throwing daggers, regular daggers,, shuriken at times- Essentially a wide variety of small arms, with an emphasis on throwing accurately. Having range is an advantage one shouldn't throw away lightly."

Though he didn't go into it, he were certain they'd understad that the reason for him to learn this, were not exactly for harmless reasons. You didn't learn to throw a dagger precisely to cut down an apple. You learned it so that you could do harm. Although he had made use of a well placed throwing dagger to cut a rope, of string of a trap a multitude of times. He'd give his disturbingly-pleased-with-cutting-things teacher, that you never knew when you had to cut down something, but didn't have the range to work with. She also had a lot of other lessons in the field of knives that were less... Suitable for the feint of heart. Frankly she were a lunatic, but a competent one, so they had been happy to keep her around. Though he always suspected it were partially because they were afraid what she'd do, if they couldn't keep her under constant supervision. The way she just sometimes looked at the light reflect in one of her blades, and started cackling loudly, did not exactly make him think she'd be out picking up daisies.

Omen would show up after this, carrying one more of each of the drinks she had gotten before, and distribute them towards the ones who had the same thing before. Though her own cup had become a larger one. The vendor were surprised she wanted more, but hey, who were he to argue with a paying customer, right? Long as she paid for the larger quantity, he were okay with it. Especially since he usually ended up with like, half a can after these things anyway, since it wasn't a widely liked drink. Just liked enough for him to think it good to keep it there.

@Windy Breeze

The doctor's eyes went wide in surprise, when she heard what Windy had been through, and every instrument she were having hold of, paused where they hovered.

"W-Weather struck you? Does that mean... You were struck by lightning, and survived it?! O-Oh dear Celestia, that'd certainly explain things. I don't need my tests results then to know that you have a weak heart. Well, Weakened, to be more exact. If the accidents you talk about only occurs in high intensity situations, then your heart is still doing well, but it isn't able to deal with the stress load you're putting it through. That's a good thing. Or okay, it's still Bad, since you're a young mare, and shouldn't have this, but what I mean is that..."

She closed her eyes, and took a few deep breaths. She had gotten a little flustered over this, and were rambling. That wouldn't help in the slightest. Her patient needed her to stay calm, and focus here, rather than acting like some medical student, who had just seen her first surgery. Just take a breath, and calm down... Then try again.

"What I mean is that a weakened heart, is a condition that is understood, and far more controllable than any of the diseases that I mentioned. We can't do much against that here, but I can prescribe you a relaxant, that I'd like you to take if you find yourself in a hectic situation again, as well as an address for a specialist, who can help you more. This kind of thing is something we in the medical field cannot deal with much, beyond assisting in a heart transplant, but there are alternative, magical treatments that are showing positive results. With some luck, my colleague will be able to help you recover fully.

Also, I cannot order you to do so, but I would strongly advise that you both try to slow down a little, if you feel even the slightest symptom at work, and try to stay out the overly high air spaces, where the air is too thin. You can't take that stress in the long run, and thin air isn't good for one whose heart aren't working at its fullest capacity. You should still be able to continue as a Wonderbolt, just try and remain clear of high mountain areas, as an example."

Dr. Pin would float most of her tools back in place, and put down a prescription note next to her bed, as well as a piece of paper with an address on, but that did not mean she were done with Windy so far. Signalled in parts with her putting both papers, with the written side down, so she couldn't read them.

"That being said, it wouldn't explain the back issues. Something tells me that's more to do with a recent, physical injury. Could I ask you to please take off your uniform, so I can have an unobstructed view of your back?

We've had a lot of beings the last half hour, coming in with physical injuries, and suffering from malnutrition of varied degrees. Some of them I even know personally, and haven't heard from in weeks. Were you involved in what happened to them as well?"

She had to know these sorts of things, both for the report the guards would likely ask, and from her perspective of a doctor, as the details were important when it came to diagnostics and treatment. Though it also came from a personal level, as like she said, she knew some of those who had arrived, and were naturally concerned about what happened to them. Though so far, apparently nopony could remember it. Windy here might be able to though, as she did not seem to be in shock, or in as bad a condition as some others were.

@Sekel

A few hours after the events previously taken place, Scarcity, Long Stare, and Chop Chop, would wander down the main road of Ponyville, along with Dazzle. The place were a little... Scuffed up here and there, but they had seen worse destruction, and there had yet to be any casualties, so that were a good thing. So were it that seemingly, there were no more of the frog mutants around, though there were several instances of pieces of them, laying about the place. Seemed like something had shredded through them, and eaten some choice bits before moving on to the next. Maybe a manticore? Though their pawprints would be seen in the dirt. A mystery for another time, surely.

"Ah, it's good to be done with that affair. Grizzly business out here it seems though."

"At least everypony is safe. Fluttershy's likely not going to be happy though."

"I'm certain she would be even less pleased with being eaten. Besides, they should be having these parts cleaned up soon enough. It's nothing a few unicorns with bags, and a hose cannot handle properly, sister dearest.

Now, let us focus on the here and now instead, shall we not? There is not far to Stare's house, yet I wonder if perhaps on the road there, you may have some questions, Dazzle? As it sounds like you have not dwelled much in a town before this, you must be curious about certain things, yes? Do please ask, and we will answer best we can. It will both enlighten, and function as a distraction from the recent.. Unfortunate turn of events."

Honestly, she just wanted to scour for more information, whilst appearing helpful at the same time, but Dazzle may indeed have some questions. And Scarcity would answer them best she could. The others would surely too, if they could, but she were the sort of mare that tended to dominate a conversation. A little professional quirk she supposed, but alas, not even she were perfect. If she were, she wouldn't need underlings after all, and what fun were there in not having henchmen at your beck and call?

"Walk or run." Cerberus pointed out "What's worst that can happen? the boulder slides off? I know I won't get hurt too badly, besides, I always land on my legs." Except when he didn't "I could also have some of my friends balance it for me, but why bother them." he would jump on the boulder as smoothly as ever, and would calmly start jogging towards the golden glint.

If the boulder was to fall, he would be as clued to it as he had been when climbing the mountain, though more peculiarly, if the stone was to take a position where his legs weren't pointing towards the ground, it would be forced by some unseen force turn in a way they were, that or if the boulder was particularly weak, he would start sinking into it until his legs were towards the ground or he fell through, landing on his hooves of course.

Ruby wouldn't say anything, just hold her chin thoughtfully as she tried to remember the books she had read and if they had mentioned anything about this kind of thing.

The increase in output wouldn't seemingly do much at this point, it didn't seem like Charir was absorbing nearly as much electricity as he had, if any, and after certain point any added electricity would either just pass through him into the ground or back to Leviathan, in latter case affecting Leviathan in a way that such would usually affect her. At this point Charir too seemed to realize what was going on and based on his expression, he had no idea what caused it, and though it wasn't quite a jerk, he did pull his leg/hand away out of worry that he would accidentally hurt Leviathan, seeing that he seemingly was sending electricity back at her. Separating from her didn't stop the electricity that was going around his body.

After looking at himself for a while, unsure how to react or act, he would try to do what Leviathan had done when she had shot out the lightning earlier, and managed to create a lighting bolt, that hit Ruby directly in the middle of her chest, it didn't do much to her though, just broke her out of her thoughts as it traveled on top of her scales to the ground, leaving only small scorch marks that seemed like they could be washed away. For Charir, besides causing him to start what sounded like pleading and apologizing to Ruby in utter panic, the lightning bolt seemed to take some of his magic/energy as the electricity on his body got weaker, but it started to get stronger again, though notably slower than before.

Ruby said something calmly to Charir, who then nodded and stopped what could have been assumed to be begging for mercy, though he was still clearly scared Ruby was mad at him.
She pointed at the marks when she started talking to Leviathan "This is what is supposed to happen when we get hit by electricity, it travels through our scales away from our body." as she spoke, Charir tried few other things, more specifically, he wanted to see if he could repeat what he had done but with less power, this time aiming away from both females just in case, and while at first he didn't seem to succeed, he seemingly found a way to send electricity away from his body in smaller doses, though it wasn't consistent.

"But he...It really looks like some kind of elemental magic in my opinion." "I knew that our more magical relatives did, or do, deal with elements, but I didn't know it could be this...literal." "Though when considering our relatively quick physical adaptation, it's not impossible that our bodies could specialize to certain elements." she was more thinking out loud rather than actually addressing Leviathan, but she was talking to her nonetheless. "But that would mean....." he looked towards Charir "....I may be looking at a future threat."

Nada wouldn't keep her hoof up for long, only until she was done with what she had said, and didn't realize her new friend hadn't really understood the gesture, not that it necessarily mattered since she started moving right after it. Since the place where Nada was going was part of the river, they would be able to swim there, and assumable it wouldn't be far. When at the spot where Nada had hunted since leaving the lake, she would talk again assuming the shark-pony hadn't given her a reason to talk before "Here we are." she had grabbed one fish just before they had arrived, and dropped it in her mouth.

She would wait to see if the few worded friend said or did something, but if not, she would proceed getting her meal.

-----------------------------------------------
Scarecrow had started to help Crow previously, but he had gotten sidetracked after hearing about the small thing's relation to certain creature.
"Don't attack it Crow." he would say after Crow was free "It hasn't done anything wrong yet." his tone hadn't changed any friendlier, he would then address the fairy, "I would say I'm sorry for how I acted, but that would be a lie, your mother has been quite the annoyance, and I don't have patience for those related to her, so while I appreciate help and won't stop you from following us, know that I have no patience for tricks or annoying remarks." he still didn't care that Anomaly was probably listening, he knew she wouldn't go too far with Lyriel since he had gathered she didn't want to anger the ponies, and he wasn't scared of anything she could do to him. He would then make his way up towards the cellar, the smell didn't bother him since he couldn't smell it, but if the source of the smell was visible, he would guess it smelled bad.

The electrcity wouldn't hurt Leviathan in the slightest. Dragons here in Equestria did not all have that sort of effect, but she were an active weather magic user, who tended to actively hold lightning in her hands. If this sort of thing could hurt her, she would have been a fried stick of charcoal centuries ago. Frankly it tickled more than anything, before dissipating. She were having more of a reaction to him pulling back, as she were afraid it meant he might be scared. She even took a step towards him, whilst looking at him worriedly, before the next part took place.

Which would be the proof that Ruby seemed to take a hit of electricity well too, as Charir accidentally hit her with a stray, weak'ish lightning bolt. Nothing major, but still rather impressive she'd say. Though of course, it also made Charir scared, and pleading for his life, as he were afraid of retaliation from his older sister. She didn't need to understand their language to grasp that being the situation, considering his reaction, and what she had learned of him thus far.

Thankfully Ruby seemingly took it nice, and just told him something afterwards - she'd assume some variation of *Shut up* - though if she had taken badly to this, Leviathan were ready to go and shield Charir. It wasn't his fault after all. This were his first big outburst of magic. He could barely control it enough to push it away from himself. That it accidentally hit Ruby, wouldn't have been reason enough to punish him.

"A weak blast like this, likely couldn't do a thing. I'm thinking a properly made ball lightning though, wouldn't go off without at least stinging. Not important though. I'd rather commend Charir on his success. He can't control it properly, but making a lightning bolt on his first try, is impressive. It took me years before I could do a proper one. At first, I could only have it cover my hand."

"Not if you break the cycle, Ruby."

The way that she talked about Charir at the end there, were disturbing to Leviathan. It indicated a hostile viewpoint on her half brother, which might well end up causing trouble when trying to make sure he grew up properly. And if that happened, she felt sure that history were just going to repeat itself again.

"If you bond, instead of facing each other with contempt, he won't be a threat to you. He will be your ally, in a time of need. Someone you can rely on, instead of having to fight off against. Your mother raised you to think only of yourself, and see family with contempt. And see where this had lead her. Two children, where one hates her, and the other fears anything resembling her. A fear that one day too, is going to lead to hatred, and a want for retribution.

She failed in the way she approached you, and sadly, it is going to lead to her facing the consequences of that someday. Something which I like to think you're both better than. But if you start treating him like she did, just because he might grow up strong, and a theoretical threat, you're just following in her foot steps, Ruby. You're going to be exactly as bad as her."

She were aware that this comment, were likely going to end up getting her beaten up, but she had to get her point through, and sugar coating it weren't gonna do the trick.

Even if she did get attacked for it, she wouldn't stop talking. It'd just be delayed a bit, until the trashing were done. A trashing which she'd accept, and only defend herself as much as it took, to ensure she didn't get broken in half.

"I know you're better than that. You have to be able to understand, that if you feed him contempt, it's just going to repeat the cycle. Be better than her, Ruby. Make bonds, and if not be a caring family, then at least see yourself respecting one another enough, to understand that you have real enemies to fight, rather than wasting time fighting one another.

Don't make enemies, where you can make allies. You might need them one day."

So these were fish? *gasp* She knew what these were already! Learning new things were nice, but understanding old things too, were something special. Nothing she could do in her old life. Nope. She didn't have the sort of mind that were able to understand things with much complexity, nor speak in a way that others, like ponies, could understand. If she had understood the concept of a higher power, or the princesses, she would likely have thought a prayer towards those. Though so far, she wouldn't know what a princess were, it one came and poked her on the nose. They'd just be talky friend, tall friend, and taller friend.

Seeing where they were, and what Nada did with the fish, the mare didn't say a word. Instead she ducked over, swam over, and soon after returned, with a big fish flopping in her mouth. She were holding it by the tail, and presenting it towards Nada, like a hunting dog would a shot duck.

"Friend food. I not hungry, friend is?"

If Nada accepted, she would swim off and get her another, and keep this going until Nada didn't want some anymore. If she refused, she'd begin to swim and flutter around the area, taking in the sights and poking various things. Sure she had been in the forest for the past day or so, but her previous life were spent solely in the sea. This were still new and magical, and would likely feel like that for days. Plenty to explore, and things to experience. Though more than anything, she'd stand at rank and beckon, in case Nada said something, or called on her.

Soon as the siren were done eating, she'd come over and grin widely up towards her hunting friend.

"Friend is... S-aaated. Sated? Friend sated?"

The ominous coo that came, right after Scarecrow said *yet*, seemed to indicate that Crow were very much on board with doing something, the second Rose would try anything nasty. So far, it were not really a welcoming attitude. But what were to be expected, considering who her mother were?

As for Rose, she pouted after being told off like this.

"I'm a girl, not a thing. Hmph. I dunno why mom would get you here. You're just a bunch of meanies.

...Okay, she probably did it because you're weird looking. But still."

As Crow approached, she'd flutter off Scarecrow, and fly a bit away from them. Crow were still not putting itself on top of Scarecrow, so it were hard to say if the blending illusion would work right now. It just moved nearby, to keep her off him.

He would then make his way up towards the cellar, the smell didn't bother him since he couldn't smell it, but if the source of the smell was visible, he would guess it smelled bad.

It weren't overly visible, but if he followed the smell, he'd find a cracked bottle of wine, with a discolored spot beneath it. The reddish blotch is where the smell would come from. Once upon a time, it had likely been a fine wine, but millennia just sitting in this cellar, had turned it bad. When the shelf it were on eventually had a part of it rot away, it had tumbled down, and finally cracked, releasing the smell.

If they looked around, they could likely find some bottles that had aged well though. They just had to look for the shelves that seemed surprisingly well preserved, as they had some kind of lingering magic on them, that had helped in the preservation. Something which had been somewhat of a given once upon a time, but when this place had been abandoned, it had dwindled out. All but a few sparks were left of this magic here now, and in a few years, it would likely be all gone, and everything in the cellar would be more or less disgusting and unpalatable.

"Huh. Mom usually says that alcohol smells real bad. This is pretty nice though. Sorta like an overripe fig. Can you even smell it though?" I mean, you're all bones and stuff on the face.

If he just wanted a way out, there were a collapsed, broken staircase leading upwards, that would have gotten them right to the main hall, if it were cleaned up, and they found a way to get the three meters up. Otherwise, there were a door hanging crooked on it's hinges to the right, which would lead to a small hall, that connected this cellar, to one of the many kitchens this place once had. A smaller one, mostly focused on probably snacks, though whatever food had been here, were long since eaten up by rodents. Several rodents still made this their home though, and would scurry along on the floor as they got inside, surprised at the visitors.

Skall nodded, only partially paying any attention as Zhu explained his future vision.
Though when it came to the pathway only one question really came to mind.
"Good good, but where is the pathway? That part feels very important."
He caressed his blade, smirking slyly at Zhu.

Astral nodded, in understanding of what Screecher said. At the mention that Sapphire was taking a while, she looked into the forest
"Come to think of it yeah, she is."
She wandered into the forest as she searched for her

Turning the corner, Sapphire was levitating in the air. Unconscious?
"I see the young lady is back and with a friend too..."
the trees creaked as a head began poking down from the tree tops, turning upside down and looking at Astral and Screecher from a distance

Screecher may recognize them, if they were informed of the old disharmony wielders.

"Who are you, and why are you here?!"

"I am Rose, embodiment of Betrayal to some."
She clawed her way down the thick tree, turning her head upright, her draconequus form in view
"after a certain event in Canterlot I need someone to guide me to the true element of betrayal... Sapphire has been with this element for quite some time now-"

"You're not looking for the right pony, she's been with the element of lies!"

"So you were fooled, this element takes the forms of others, yet another form of betrayal from it."
She clenched at the tree cracking the bark, leaping forward under Sapphire and reaching up.
"Now I must go, unless you desire to benefit me?"

You have your whole life left, so much to do, so much time to do it.

Use it wisely; Because you will never get a second chance.

Sen and Lin grew silent and worried. If the dangerous plant was back home, very likely alive, and Ghilan was examining the contents of Rosa’s belt, that one plant could cause much destruction and damage, especially as no one back home had any experience dealing with invasive species. Well… the hunters could probably try to hit the plant over an over again until it stopped trying to eat everything in sight but that wasn’t always a guarantee that they were successful. Knowing Discord had something to do with it just complicated matters even more.

Then again, the siblings calmed down when Rosa followed up that the plant was back in the cave and Ghilan didn’t carry it home. That was a much needed relief, with Sen taking a moment to clutch his chest and breathe a sigh of relief.

“Oh, you had us worried for a moment. Elder Ghilan is already in a tough situation with the council of elders when they learned about Omen living with us in the village. If they found out about the dangerous plant, I wouldn’t know how they’d react!”

“Probably throw the problem out into the wild and forget it exists? And I mean that literally.”

Lin’s half-joking response got Sen a little worried, especially because of how dismissive she sounded. In a way, she could be right, and Sen does harbor some disdain for the longma council for being neglectful of the things that happened in their village the night he was exiled. He didn’t want to think about that for now and focus on what kinds of fun things they’d be doing for the rest of the evening. Rosa talking about darts and Omen returning with more drinks did more than enough to distract him and Lin to move the conversation in another direction.

“Hey, Omen! Thanks for getting us more drinks. Rosa’s telling us about darts and other small tools he could throw and hide.”

“We saved you some apple pie and cider. You want some?”

"Rosa, when you mentioned throwing things like knives, I assume those would be spinning while they travelled to a target. How likely was it that you'd hit a target with the blunt end of the knife? I mean, that would be anticlimactic, but that could still happen, right?"

The doctor's reaction to Windy being struck by a lightning was something not new to her, her friends expressed similar reactions (Except Ire, who snorted in amusement and said something along the lines of 'You're too tackless, that serves you well'), so it was a good idea not to bring up the tragedy which took the lives of her family. Nonetheless the pain of losing her family coming back, she listened deeply to the doctor about her heart condition. The feeling of haveinng butterflies in her stomach slightly lowered down when the specialist diagnosed her of a weakened heart, which was also not a surprise to someone like her with a very and history, she even let out a sigh of relief when the doctor said she could remain as a Wonderbolt (If she were to be forced to retire, she would cry like a little filly). She nodded when the doctor talked about prescribing her a relaxtant. Despite this, she was still unnerved of replacing her heart with a brand new one. Surgeries are scary.

However those worries came back when the doctor came back to the topic about her back injury and her demands to know about what happened at the abandoned portion of the the town. Windy knew she couldn't reveal them the paranormal part, she has fabricate that part to not destroy both Razor and Autumn's reputations. She calmly undressed herself and put her uniform beside her, revealing her injured back. She shut her eyes, wishing her injury wasn't as bad as the pain she received.

We've had a lot of beings the last half hour, coming in with physical injuries, and suffering from malnutrition of varied degrees. Some of them I even know personally, and haven't heard from in weeks. Were you involved in what happened to them as well?"

“I've just arrived in this town a few hours ago. I got interested with the forbidden part of the town, as well the case of a former resident named Autumn and went inside, but not before confronting a guard who warned me not to enter” she no longer knew the name of the stallion she, Quill and Sorrow met “I met some of the missing locals, for example; Wine and Sandy”

The doctor can notice Windy's sudden mood change, her expression, the tone of her voice, and how she acted were a giveaway.

"Your blade holds little purpose here, Skall. Where you must begin, is in The Canterlot Cemetery. Seek the stone belonging to Faded Tracker, and gaze to the east. The second mausoleum you see, will hold the path."

"Finally. He best hope we never meet again."

The somewhat raspy voice of the element, talked to Skall, as the seer gave the last information they needed for the time being. Information which would be useful if they were true, yet if they weren't they knew where he were now. And they would not be pleased being lied to, by some unseemly jungle cat.

"We likely will. I see more futures in which you approach me again, than I see those where our paths never cross. Unless you remain here for too long. Your illusion will not last much longer, and soon they will see the truth. If you wish for your plan to progress, you should begin your travels. Or would you rather those who seek you, find more clues of your whereabouts?"

If she had a body right now, the element would have narrowed her eyes at the seer. Impudent whelp were maybe right, but he were annoying her, as he seemingly heard her voice somehow. As well as saw her. She could see it in the way his golden eyes followed her, as she floated around. Little more than a mist, invisible from regular sight, and yet his gaze remained. Troubling creature, yet there might be use for him later, so there were reason to tolerate him. At least until their plans had born fruit. They'd see how all knowing he wanted to play, when he were made to bow in the dust before Skall and her. Just like all the rest of them.

It had barely been established that there were even others currently that went for the elements. Whoever had held it in ages past, beyond Chariot, had not been learned by Screecher yet, so this draconequus would be unknown to her. Though her eyes still narrowed, as she saw the floating mare, and then this creature. Nothing good, even came from associating with this species. Discord might have some uses now, but he too still caused trouble, and all of them that she had gotten reports off, maintained at least some level of appreciation for chaos. Which tended to be shown in messing with those around them. Rarely anything but harmless jokes, but it were still very intrusive, and often not funny for anypony but themselves.

23 hours ago, FanOfManyShows said:

This part, did not make it better either. Draconequui were closely related to what they claimed they were embodiments of. Discord with his title as the *Lord of Chaos* were the obvious one. That strange Anomaly one she had heard of were another, whom proclaimed herself the *Spirit of Mutation*. Or even Lady Lily Pad, whom referred to herself as the *Deity of Meditation*. She was a weird one, when it came to their kind, but a more reasonable one at least. Even if she did have her times of entertaining herself, with those around her.

She clenched at the tree cracking the bark, leaping forward under Sapphire and reaching up.
"Now I must go, unless you desire to benefit me?"

"You will release your prisoner this instant, in the name of Can-"

She were interrupted, when a gem would catch her eye, as it skipped across the ground towards Rose.

"Here's the element she had, that we fought over. Take it and leave her, you irritating zoo freak."

Emerald had gone out, feeling like she wanted to yell at her sister a little more, until she saw this irritating creature having seemingly knocked her out. One whom seemed to be hunting their element too, and judging by sight and name, were one of the olden wearers. One who had either never had the real one, or had lost its favor apparently, if she thought this one were her salvation.

Of course, even if this were not the real Element of Betrayal, it still held power, like the one she had been using before. A creation of the true element still contained some of its power, and for one like Rose, that should suffice to at least give her something to work with, while she sought the real one.

"It's the only one we ever knew of, but it lives up to it's other name: The Element of Deceit. It is another of the true elements creations, yet it still holds value for you, doesn't it, Rose? Then take it, and leave my sister behind. I'm not done yelling at her yet. Or would you rather test my patience?"

Chow carried his gem close to him. In fact it were pierced on his chest, as a piece of jewelry, as to make sure it didn't go anywhere when he were out hunting for example. So it were more than able to be used as Emeralds focus, now that her eyes lit up with dark sparks of magic, and she glanced irritated at her competition, for the true element. If she still cared to hunt for it. Emerald had yet to decide fully, even if she leaned towards not thinking it were worth it for her anymore, as it could not return what had been taken from her, but only take further.

If Rose were not compliant, she'd find a spectral raven, made of dark magic, would fly towards her from Emerald, aiming to hammer into her at full speed. Wouldn't kill one of their kind - nothing she ever heard about, could actually kill a draconequus - but it'd sting for sure, and be a good start in fending this annoyance off. Or she could take what prize she'd be able to gain out of this, and be on her way.

Omen would look at the offered pie and cider, and sniff in the direction of the food. Though she'd soon enough shake her head slowly, and wander over to her remaining habanero rolls.

"I have tried it. Apple pony and Sen said this were for you."

Also, she felt as if she wanted her own food more than this right now. The spicy food were the sort that she enjoyed well it seemed, and though she had eaten and drunk the offered cider and pie at the apple farm, she still wanted her spicy things more. She wouldn't say it was bad, but at the same time, she wouldn't know if it were overly good either. She ate basically anything, so it wasn't easy for her to say what were considered bad. Though she had something which she now considered to be good, in this spicy food, so maybe she could compare it to that? The Apple things were not spicy, so perhaps bad? But the others liked it. Did that not make it good?

Omen would mull over this as she slowly chewed through another roll, and stared at nothing, and no one, in particular while she ate.

"It seems she's pondering something. Maybe I should answer while she does so, and then thank her for the drinks when she is ready for it.

Regular daggers typically involves them spinning, that is correct. That is why it is highly important to be able to see the distance to your target, so you can make a quick calculation as to whatever or not it will hit right.

Some throwing daggers are different though. They are generally smaller, thinner, and the ones I made use of at least, made of a single piece of metal. It helps with the balance of it, as well as ensuring it is light, and goes easier through the air, as this kind are made to be thrown and travel straight, without spinning. A sort of miniature spear too, I suppose you could say.

A shuriken are a middle ground. A throwing star, which also spins, and are made of a single piece of metal. To ensure it hits properly, it have several sharp points on it, hence why it is also called a throwing star. Elder Ghilan will have a few of those by now, so maybe you can ask him to see them later. Though act carefully around them. They're sharp, and due to not having a dull end to grab, can be unwieldy if you're not careful.

I wonder though, you talk about spears, but what sort of proficiency do you have in throwing them? Could you adjust to a lighter weight fairly quickly, since darts as I mentioned, are rather small, and light weight. It might be you could still do well there, if you were adaptable with this sort of thing."

The doctor can notice Windy's sudden mood change, her expression, the tone of her voice, and how she acted were a giveaway.

"If you don't want to tell me, that is your choice, but the guards won't be as patient with asking as I am. You aren't as confused as the others we've had in so far, and even a few hours, is better than nothing. At least you might know what happened that stopped whatever kept everypony there, right?

As for your back..."

The doctor were disappointed that Windy did not seem to want to tell about what happened, and would try to reason with her about this. Dr. Pin could not force anything, but the guards were very keen on learning what went on, as they had not been able to do anything but contain the site, and hope things changed thus far- Anypony who knew even a tiny bit what went on in there, would be somepony they wanted to talk to. It might help them from stopping it from happening again.

Regarding Windy's back, she'd be able to feel the doctor push down on a few key points, which would likely be very soar. Especially around the base of her wings. If she moaned, or gave other auditory, or visual signs that this hurt, the doctor would have her answer to what were going on here.

"It feels like typical impact damage. You will likely experience swelling and bruising within the next few hours. Let me get you an ice pack for that, and add another prescription, for some localized medicine. It should help with the swelling, though you'll have to remain earthbound for a few days, as much as possible. The less you stress your back right now the better."

She'd open her door to go out and get one from the nurses station, when she ended up face to face with a mare, who had been about to knock on the door. A tall one in varm colors, with - of all things - a large rodent skull hanging from her neck. She also seemed to have a limp wing, which were more or less dragging across the floor. The thing she would focus the most on right now.

"I'm sorry, you must be looking for my colleague. You have to go three doors more down to find him."

"I'm looking for Windy, actualy. Is she here? I wanna make sure if she's okay. She got a nasty hit before."

"You were in the closed off section of town as well? And you remember what happened?"

"You know, you're the fourth one who asked me about this. I sorta wondered if anypony knew what were going on in that there part of town, but it doesn't sound like it. I do though. And I remember lots of things."

"...Please come inside then, and talk with your friend. I will be right back."

Dr. pin would move to the side to make acces to Sorrow, who'd wander in, and cringe in pain, as her wing hit the door frame. The doctor would leave right after, closing the door.

"That was weird... Anyway, are you okay Windy? It looked pretty bad out there at one point. Have you gotten help yet?"
