How old is too old for cons?

I've been to several Furry cons. (no brony ones yet) But I can tell you, with 100% certainty, you're not getting too old. I know furries that have gone to cons and they're well into their 50s and even 60s. A bronycon is no exception. :squee:

As soon as you move out of.your parents house.

Then again, I never plan on going to cons and such in general, so ignore me.

35yo.  I go to cons.  I usually go with my friend and his dad (~60yo) There is no age limit for attendance or cosplay.  It's a great place to meet folks.  Most people will talk to strangers about anything.

The only time I've seen age limits on anything is when there was a specific "Under 18 Only Dance" after the main convention activities.   There were a lot of local clubs/bars for the older crowd so the convention wanted to give the younger folks something to do since there wasn't anything for the younger folks to do other than sit in their hotel.  It was a full weekend convention.

Age limit for conventions is never.

Peoples' ability to go to a large gathering of events that celebrate a popular fun fandom is not to be discriminated by age.

And people can use common sense to look at a person and be like "oh hey this person looks too young I shouldn't engage them in a more than platonic manner".

Or simply ask their age if you attempt to get to know them.

There's control over whether someone's responsible, or a creep.

Next time someone talks nonsense like that to you act as though you're hard of hearing, "Eh??  Whatsat???  I can't hear you because I'm so very old!"  Keep up this charade until they leave.

There's no age limit.  Other people don't get to impose an age limit on the things you'd like to do.  I'm nearly thirty-two; I'll do what the hay I want for as long as I want to do it.  That's MY age "limit."

I've seen people as old as my grandparents at cons, and even cosplaying. The youngest are like babies! You're good! The sky's the limit!

My cider brings all the ponies to the yard and they're like its better than yours, damn right it's better than yours. I can teach you, but I have to charge

You are never too old for a con. Seriously, it's utter poppycock to be told you are too old for something. Just go and do it! The only thing I can think of is if you are bringing an infant to a con that may be a not so great idea.

If you're into geek culture,I don't think it matters what age you go to a con at. Heck, my stepdad loves Star Trek, he's almost 50 and I could see him going to a con if he had the energy to do so.

So you can find your special somepony at a con?  I never thought of using them for that purpose.

I have friends who did, but that person insisted.

If there was an age limit they would put it up. Most people can't even afford going to convention so if anyone would it is rather the older folks. When I mean older folks I mean anywhere from 20+ since well it is not exactly that affordable is it. Not to mention people go to conventions both for fun and to meet new people so I say it has no age limit.

I see people of all ages at conventions. At the MLP convention I went to earlier this year, I saw both children and old people. You're never too old for a convention in my opinion.

Is there a time when one is too old for conventions? That depends on if there will be conventions on the New Heavens and the New Earth, of which I am of the opinion "yes". Which means my ultimate answer to the question of whether or not one can be too old to attend a convention, is a most emphatic, "Never!!!!"

I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees.
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?

You're never too old for conventions. I went to a toy convention in Santa Rosa and there were plenty of people that looked like they were over the age of 25. I saw brony convention videos on YouTube and there were people that looked over 25 as well.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.
