What looks better?

So, I'm testing out different methods of shading, and this is what I've got so far.

 

What looks more appealing in combination with my style?

It just looks more accurate.

I think C. It makes the face and the hair pop pretty nicely.

You use SAI, if I remember correctly? If you do, feel free to PM me and I'd be more than happy to show you some of my shading techniques.

 

A combination of the marker tool and the airbrush tool works wonderfully if you know how to pull it off (so B and D combined?)

It's something you have to get a feel for and can't really be explained, but try playing around with a combo of the two. You might be pleasantly surprised!

If you don't want to bother though, go with B. Airbrush is quick and easy when it comes to shading.
