anyway, without further ado:

And i have finally put my pride aside and started the french light tank line, and boy am i surprised, a few well placed shots, and they become deadly, but the tank i was looking forward too is the french ELC AMX and it is one sexy and VERY speedy tank.

as one tanker put it: "think of it as the corvette TD of World of tanks, fiber glass armor, but a heavy hitter if you learn to use it right."

i just got it last night, and already many a SPG has fallen to my 75mm x3

and of couse i had to give this speedy tank, a speedy skin

and i just got THE BEST artillery match in my tanking career, i got top gun, and 4 out of my 6 shots were out of scope mode :3 mabey i AM cut out for artillery.

Still, I watched some of Midnight's artillery battles, and now I'm tempted to switch to Soviet artillery. Their extremely high firing arc looks extremely useful.

I loved the SU26, best tier...3 or 4 or whatever tier it is. The russian line was the first I went down in arty and I don't regret it. It's hard to get a top gun in arty so that makes it all the more inpressive. Nice job Midnight.

over the weeks ive had many teqniques taught to me about making skins, and id like to show some too you, including the newest for my IS, i havent really been impressed with the previous two, but i like this one, and i hope you guys like it too.

also, if youd like me to make you a skin, i can try my hand at it, and you can see what you think.

anyway, the one you havent seen is the two others i made for the IS.

 

first is a luna that i wasnt really impressed with.

 

 

 

 

i dont know why, but it just didnt strike me as a good skin, but ive kept it until now, ive spent 5 hours making this one, hope its okay..

 

 

 

 

i gained a Lowe , its an amazing tank, very accurate, and devistating if used right, , but i made a new skin for it, and its Lunas Chariot, and i think she likes it .

So, since I last posted in here, I've completely switched up what I've been doing. I tried out German SPGs, French SPGs, and American SPGs, and after some initial excitement I decided they weren't for me because I couldn't ever do much of any good with the aiming with them. So I switched away from them.

 

I've gotten the ELC AMX, and it's been so played by me since that I already have the AMX12t researched. The ELC AMX is easily my favorite tank in the entire game so far. It's super fast, it's an assassin, and it takes a lot of skill to play effectively. Despite what people think, it is not a scout.

 

Let me say that again. The ELC is not a scout. It's an assassin, which means it uses its speed to get into position, fires off a huge shot from its ridiculously powerful 90mm gun, then goes on the move again before anyone can do anything. It can run circles around Tier IX tanks and, with proper skill, take them out--I've had a couple of different Tier IX players rant and rave at me because I killed their tanks with my ELC. It's just so much fun to play.

 

But I also have a pair of TDs--M10 Wolverine on the American side, and I just got a StugIII on the German side, though I haven't played with it yet. The M10 is really good--much better than its counterpart the T49 in my opinion, because while much slower, it's far better at being able to penetrate and hit.

 

I also have a Panzer III/IV, which is a fun tank for medium style gameplay, and I have a KV-1. Haven't done too much with the KV-1 yet other than feel disappointed that it's not exactly the invincible behemoth enemy KV-1s have always appeared to be. Quite the opposite--it's been really disappointing almost. Although, that said, I HAVE been using the 57 mm gun on it instead of the 122 mm gun, on the advice of New Calamity, with the assumption that the reliability and penetration--not to mention superquick firing rate--of the 57 mm is more useful. I may give the 122 mm a try just to see what it's like, and I have no idea which Tier VI to go for with it. (Same for the Panzer III/IV actually. Both give me choices and I dunno which choice to choose.)

 

Lesse...I also have a D2 that I'm slowing building towards a BDR, right alongside New Calamity since he wanted to try out the French heavies. (I had the open slot space and I have almost two million credits thanks to that 70% credit boost on the ELC over the weekend, so it was easily done.)

 

Beyond that I'm still open to trying out a lot of different things. I've taken a peak down other tank lines--tried out the M3 Stuart before I finally became disgusted with it and dropped it, and I tried the Russian TDs for about two seconds before chucking them in the ocean. But there's a lot left to try out, a lot left to explore. And of course, as we all know...

In fact, I daresay I have had negative luck with the KV-1--all of my games are crap, I'm constantly being blown up with any chance to do anything...and generally the gameplay is unfun. Maybe I'm just addicted to being able to actually get anywhere on the map before the entire damned game is over, or maybe my gameplay style is just too far removed from a heavy tank to be able to play it well...but I'm honestly becoming convinced the KV-1 is a complete piece of crap. Anyone feel like trying to change my mind?

i feel the pain, i mean, not everyone is cut out for the slowness of the KV series tanks,or heavy tanks in general, everyone has their nich, its just trying to find it is the hard part XD, im no good with medeum, light tanks, SPG's or TD's, i prefer the heavy hitters that are heavy tanks, its why i blazed through my KV1S and IS to my IS3

nice job , yeah the KV-1 is a bit of a toughie but its a good tank all in all, best tier 5 heavy in my opinion, the T1 is total crap to me XD.

Well, back in the day, the KV with the 122. derp could oneshot anything tier 6 and lower. Good fight, 25second reload.

My personal favorite WAS the old KV-3, I took around 80 hits with steel wall with it in a tier8 match, it was a TOUGH tank.

Now it's the T150, sold that POS.

I have my hooves on a IS-3 and a good old SuperSponge. Working on some arty and french. ^.^

I remeber my first day of playing, I got 9 kills in a BT-2, totally raped the enemy team. >:-D

Heh, well, I'm actually using the 57 mm gun. It's a lot more reliable than the 122 mm I find. Sure, the 122 mm can oneshot a lot of things, but if it doesn't pen, it doesn't do much, and then has to reload for forever, leaving me horribly vulnerable. The 57 mm, on the other hand, reloads in a flash, penetrates very well, and can take out anyone trying to kite me so long as I can turn my turret/tank in time.

Yeah, that thing. Decent penetration, 26.32 or something firing rate.

 

NC, however, has convinced me to try out both the 122mm and the 85, on the pretext that I am spoiling myself with the 57mm high firing rate. We'll see how this works out.
