I was looking up some gender-neutral terminology.  Seriously though, the terminology for referring to non-binary people "properly" seriously complicates the English language. I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to do that in, say Spanish, where gender is woven into every single noun. It would be really interesting to see how the language would change if we replaced all the sex-based terms with non-binary ones. I will say the letter X might be a lot more common in usage.
