Rarity being the most popular character? Not even close! If anything, I'd say she's one of the least popular characters. In most best pony polls, it's either her or Applejack in last. But if the word "Luna" even so much as appears in any pony-related poll, you can bet that Luna will win by a landslide, no matter what.

 

Luna is overrated. Rarity is overhated. I'm siding with the deserving underdog.

Obviously you have not seen the Rarity Fan Club.

Like I said, she has the most popular Fan Club on the forums and it's twice as popular than Luna's Fan Club.

If you've been looking at the past posts, Rarity fans are everywhere on this thread.

So don't you go and tell me that she's overrated.

What time period are you living in?

Sure in the first couple seasons she was hated.

But she's gained so much positive attention over the years and is one of the most popular and loved characters.

Can I blame people though?

She's a cute little white pony who likes to play dress up.

What's not to love about that?

I don't hate Rarity and don't have anything against her.

I just don't find her really attractive.

And that is why I did not vote for her and vote for Luna.

Because Luna on the other hand is more attractive in my eyes.

The race is ON, Luna is winning, and I'm not complaining because it was really hard for me to vote at all in the first place. I've nearly forgotten that this is an attractiveness tournament, and it was so hard to vote! Aah! They're both so gorgeous! But in the end, Rarity won my personal battle. If Luna wins the tournament, so be it! She is, after all, the very representation of the beautiful night.

I have to go with my heart on this one and vote for Rarity.    I simply feel closer to her than I do to the mysterious Luna.  Don't get me wrong.  Luna is a nice mare and all that.  But I can still feel the stinging defeats she handed Fluttershy in the March Madness tournaments even though it was years ago.
