What are the worst things about school

The system as a whole.

That's the short answer. Id provide a more in depth explanation, but my hands would cramp long before I finished typing it up. So many people have tried to push me into teaching. Oddly enough, most of the teachers that failed me for blowing off their work back in the day.

Honestly? I've thought about it, and I'd like nothing more. Unfortunately I'd be perpetuating a fundamentally broken system. Not something I can get behind.

School wastes your time so you'll get used to your boss doing the same thing in the future. School isn't about learning, it's about training kids to be obedient

Also grades: They aren't a proper measurement on your intelligence. Anyone could be intelligent if they set their mind to it. No, they measure how obedient you are to the teacher. And that is supposed to decide if you're going to college? You know, Einstein failed school and look at him after that.

The worst thing I can think of about school would be it takes away freedom of imagination. Teachers teach what they want to teach or what their boss tells them. The basic fundamentals are essential and I do agree we learn something new, but most of the time we hardly use the information learned in school later in life. It's basically awaiting the day to get that piece of paper that sums up saying "You did it."

I'm glad I graduated a looong time ago, but I had to take 2 extra years of school from moving too many places and my mother put me through a grade twice by accident since I moved between families a lot. Tough times.

For a start I'd say that 90% of people at high school are utter knobs. Seriously, a bunch of pillocks who believe themselves to be better than anyone else because they're popular for some reason. I'm glad I've never cravd attention because these infantile yobbos really ruined much of the school experience.

Aside from that bad teachers did some serious damage. I pick things up easily when they're explained well, but the one teacher I've ever found truly excellent was my last Math teacher. She got me from a 3/10 to a passing grade after I'd spent about four years failing. Two years with her got me back on track and even interested in the subject. So many teachers lacked authority or failed to be interesting that it's amazing I graduated at all.

Lastly, I've always been annoyed by the unfathomable stupidty and supreme indifference of some of the non-teaching staff. The ones working in the computer lab knew nothing about them (and our word filter was idiotic too, ABS was blocked for containing 'anti lock' but 'hacking school computers' was fine) and the janitor made people clean up mess they didn't make just because they happened to be around.

I wasn't bullied by students despite being disabled and goth- I actually had many friends. But I was seriously bullied by teachers, and they are my worst memory of my entire school time. They were very cruel to me.
Most people when they talk about bullying, they only think it's kids that do it, and to tell a teacher. But they never tell you what to do if it's a teacher that's doing it, and if you complain, people usually think you're just exaggerating and are mad about being disciplined. My Mother had to go to the school multiple times to tell teachers there behavior towards me wasn't correct and speak to the school board about a teacher being verbally abusive. You'd be amazed at the amount of teachers and authority figures that really should never being in charge of anyone, or even be around other humans. In my book, most teachers are dicks.

The worst things about school is bullying and stress. I feel that you don't learn anything at school, anymore. All what matters in school, now, are the grades. Now, that's just too sad. What's also sad is that bullying is still an issue, and it may just continue to get worse. I remember that I was bullied by 3 kids once, like 4 years ago. It was one of the worst experiences that I ever had.
