gaming what's an awesome game you would recommend?

Night Wing

Resident Evil 4 is the greatest game of all time. And Portal 2 is great because it'd be weird if I didn't say that with my username. As is Bioshock Infinite.

Alice:Madness Returns, Bayonetta 2, Cry of Fear, and The Evil Within could all use some love as well.

Sniper Elite V2 is free with Games with Gold for the rest of February. Anyone who wants to try it and has Gold Membership might want to pick it up. I know I did. :D

---

There are just...way too many games to recommend and way too many different people to recommend them to.

I guess I could say "any game in the Shin Megami Tensei franchise" but that might be cheating. :P

Maybe Headhunter, The Saboteur or Spec Ops: The Line for you non-RPGers out there.

Pitfall: The Lost Expedition for Gamecube.

An underrated gem of the Gamecube library.

Bought it at a lawn sale, and I don't regret it.

I'd also throw the Wild Arms games in there but those are pretty hit and miss for most people. Except for fanboys like me who can't not love the games your mileage may vary.

On the other hand, you could be converted to the fanboy side as well... <.< >.>

Also Baten Kaitos. If you have a Gamecube or Wii then you owe it to yourself to know the awesome that is the Baten Kaitos series.

How about Civilization V. It's one of the best strategy gaming experiences i ever had.

If you plan to buy it, buy the expansions Gods and kings, aswell as Brave new world.

Small advice. Try to get a science victory with Poland, so they can finally into space.

There are many games I could name, your Legend of Zeldas and Mass Effects, so instead I'll name a few I think are somewhat lesser known. Or not known enough as I wish.

Everypony says "Not as good as Alpha Centauri!" Guess what? Didn't play that, don't care. This game kicks ass!

If you are like me and are sick to the point of physical nausea of nay sayers and misanthropes predicting humanity's self destructive end or fruitless whimpering out of existence. So much that you want to metaphysically assert your violent rebuttal to those claims that humanity can and will lead a better and brighter future, this is the game for you.

Albeit the above relies on how much you can immerse yourself in a world largely conveyed to you through brief text windows and glanced down from the view of a high orbit deity. The ideas present and explored in the game though; how the concept of the individual may be threatened or changed for the better, various forms of transhumanism, whether to preserve the past with the risk of blind zeitgeist or embrace the future with reckless abandon are all strongly present for those willing to read between the lines.

Without a doubt one of the most absorbing experiences of mine in gaming. The fact that the game takes place in a world that looks so much like our's disarms you to how truly otherworldly the setting is. Despite how you yourself are, in-story, considered a super powered trouble shooter, you still feel like just a small thing against the powers and factions swirling around you but in a way that you are entranced rather than overwhelmed.

The atmosphere in this game is dark, eldritch, uncanny, and I love it! Normally I would never touch this kind of material with a ten foot pole, but the fact that you are explicitly empowered and charged with fighting "that which man was not meant to know" sparks a bright torch in a damp cave. At the same time though, you aren't just the pest control. Through terrific voice acted cutscenes, environmental clues, and your own analysis skills, you become involved with conspiracies and mysteries at every location you visit. From the backyard of Lovecraft just adjacent to Silent Hill, to the depths of Hell itself.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.

*shrug* I thought that game was actually all right.

The new game Life Is Strange so far seems really interesting.
But I suppose it's not "awesome" so totally any of the Resident Evil games... Just hope the new one will be awesome.
There's also Saints Row 3 & 4 for when you just want to have some crazy fun.

It really depends on what games people like so far in terms of reviews, gameplay videos, and a family member or a friend made you play the game.

For My recommendation(s), here's what i know

Final Fantasy - Final Fantasy XI and XIV pay 2 play, but It's a good game. A lot of people in the game taught me well. By most people's recommendation, it would be final fantasy VII, XIII. and XIV

Super Smash Bros. - Well This Is far recommended by other people who played the game series

Legend of Zelda - It really Depends on the type of Legend of Zelda series, but The Hardest Legend of Zelda game is Link's Adventure. If you're a type of person that plays dynasty, samurai, and orochi warriors, then Hyrule Warriors is good for those that played those 3 games before.

Mario Series - If people like platforming and RPG games (like Super Mario RPG or paper mario), then the series are good

Kirby Series -  I may be a big fan of the game series, but some games aren't really recommended although it's optional.

Borderlands - I've seen a lot of people play borderlands, but the latest is pre-sequel. It has good stories, references, and laughs.

Pokemon - This game tests your skills even strategy, but also your luck will be tested. In puzzle games, your mind will be tested as well.

Terraria - If you like Minecraft, then you will like this game

Minecraft - Same as Terraria, but recommended by people who play this game

The only Game I'm not recommending is Maple story in terms of bad reviews, issues, complaints, hackers, botters, how boring the game can get without any endgame contents, economy, pay 2 win, bad reputation, lack of english language in terms of spanish people, and no auto-translate function. I may be one of those players, but Nexon will not have my loyalty over square-enix.
