music Roadtrip Music?

Okay, so as the title implies, I will be taking a road trip, and I need music for said road trip. I will be driving my car, which is currently in Washington state, to Annapolis, Maryland, where my college is, so its kind of going to be a long, long trip. I plan to meander around a little and not take the direct route, such as cutting through Yellowstone and maybe Northern California, and heading up to Ceder Point in Ohio, so this whole trip will take up my whole summer leave, around 2.5-3 weeks. Needless to say, I have no desire to be in want of music in the middle of nowhere with not even a radio station to be found, so what music would you guys want to listen to on a very long cross country drive?  :)

I'm fine with basically anything, besides techno/dubstep/trap/whatever its all called. Soft Rock, jazz, pop, country, R&B, its all good by me.

Do you like musicals? The soundtrack to The Addams Family is really good. If you like 80's music, an artist by the name of Yaz or Yazoo (as they are called in the UK) is really. good. I recommend the Upstairs at Eric's album. Disney is always fun to listen to once in awhile. Video game soundtracks like the music from Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy 10 is a blast to listen to.

@,

That's a good idea! Soundtracks would help pass a lot more time than single songs. Although I hope they don't have relaxing music that makes you drowsy, or I might never survive the trip to Maryland!

I don't know what to recommend. I would stick to styles of music you like because if you're half way through the trip and hate the music, the trip will just feel longer if no endless.

Depends on where I'm driving and what the scenery is. Usually it's country going South since it's really flat and cowboy-y :P. Going East its classical since the scenery is a bit more... Prettier and calm .

Well, if I were going on a Road Trip, I'd be listening to:

Panic! At the Disco

Fall out Boy

Hey Ocean! (Which the lead singer is Ashleigh Ball (Voice of RD and AJ))

Ellie Goulding

I'd listen to Dubstep/Electro since that's what I'm into, but as you said, you aren't.

I don't listen to much else.. ^^;

This Hey Ocean! song is a good one, and sounds like a road trip:

You could probably find a Youtube to MP3 converter to download the music on your phone or whatever you're using to listen to music!

  • 2 weeks later...

Blank Space.

I would also (if I were you) let my girlfriend take care of music because she's good at that and has Spotify so she can make a playlist and save it on her phone.

I'd personally recommend George Thorogood & the Destroyers.  A lot of their stuff is definitely what I'd call music for the highway.

Thrackerzod is best pony.
