How would these authors react upon meeting the ponies and the show?

Say for instance, if the famous fantasy authors J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, and H. P. Lovecraft encounter the Mane 6 in real life, they watch the ponies' show on television (if it existed then) or read about them in a fantasy book; how do you think each author might respond to such scenarios?

I'd reckon their genius minds would come up with a way to sully their innocence, and write a fantasy adventure epic about them!

 

... Okay, maybe not. I have no idea how they'd react, I'm not sure what they were like as people tbh.

Pretty much this. While they might appreciate or even enjoy the ponies; they have their own ideas and creative worlds to attend to.

 

Seriously, just read the Silmarillion after the Hobbit & Lord of the Rings. Ponies would be inconsequential in comparison. o_o
