maybe their not blacked out. maybe at some point in the other half of season 5, they look different. different as in now they look blue-ish, black-ish, purple.

 

He just explained how they hinted in one of the promos that something they've been building up to for a long time is going to happen. The CMC getting their cutie marks is one plot thread that's been around for a long time. In addition, this change would be most fitting to happen in the season where cutie marks are playing a more noticeable role in both the main story line and episodes concerning the CMC.

I pray that Rainbow Dash remains a single child. The rest of the season looks fine at a glance, although I'm not terribly big on the titles of Brotherhooves Social, The Hooffields and McColts. I'm starting to feel a conspicuous lack of Applejack this season, please see to that in Season 6. Also, that's three Rarity episodes in four (#14-#17), wow.

That list of synopses has been further debunked. Rarity isn't going to work for some designer at a boutique, she's going to try owning one herself. Rarity isn't investigating because it was some jewel she was going to use, it's to clear Rainbow Dash's name.

Kind of doubtful IMO. its so hard for them to cram in spots for all the characters, and he's had one episode so far this season.

Plus, spike doesn't really sell toys like the other characters do, sadly

Also Fluttershy's brother as obvious as it sound doesn't necessarily need to be part of "Brotherhoof Social" episode but could also be the main character for "Scare Master" and have abilities similar to his sister.
