Use of "Somepony" online and in public

Actually referring to people, I do find it kinda cringy, but I would use it if I'm specifically talking about the characters in the show. Since they are ponies

It's weird for me if someone purposely does it. But I think it's fine when it accidentily happens like when in public. I have written in papers in school lately to weird ? Marks by teachers and also accidentily said it among confused company.

While it's socially awkward, language evolves and perhaps it'll become the norm. I still have difficulties talking to those who use "like" incorrectly, so I will gladly suffer the consequences of my archaic dialog.

Do as you will though; it harms none.

Not much, as it's not my problem how other bronies act inside or outside of context. I don't make a habit of doing so, I make pony terms from time on time here, but you might see it's far often I don't than I do

I do find it annoying at times when people say somepony, but if it's here on this forum I'm completely fine with it (sometimes I'm even tempted to say it).

No, I don't find it cringy. I think it's cool that some bronies want to use some pony slang when they feel like it. It creates a way of talking distinct from the majority.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I came close to saying "Manehattan" at work once. I got around it by turning it into "Main Street"

Yeah, for me it's a matter of habit. I use it all the time with fellow fans. I think it'd be weird using it in non-brony settings, though. I have to catch myself from using it in those situations because I'm so used to it.

I honestly hate when the show refers to even non-ponies as "somepony" or "everypony". For example at the start of PYHD Fluttershy is feeding her anals and says "good nutrition for everypony" or something like that.

It depends on the place and context. You wouldn't see someone at work yelling "EVERYPONY, GET TO THE BLANKETY BLANK MOTORPOOL TIME NOW!!!" It would be awkward in the extreme.

All depends on the context.  Like comedy, you need to know when to use it and when not to.  It can be really cute, if used properly.  Personally, I don't think I'd ever cringe at it.  I'd just be tickled to death to meet another brony, period.

I don't mind when people use that term at all. Yes if it is said in public I tend to roll my eyes but I don't hate it lol. Lots worse you could do right?

I've found it's become a bit of a habit in my case and I have to catch myself at times.

I do agree that it can be a little cringe worthy from time to time, especially when it's said in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At conventions, meet ups or around the pony community I don't see any harm and in fact I find it's rather fun!

The only time I find it cringy is when its overly used and is in pretty much in every sentence, but honestly it wouldn't bother me at all, heck I'd probably join in!

I wouldn't cringe, but would be like: "You a brony too?" Then he/she would say yes, then we'd be best friends forever. :3 But I'll admit, it'd be socially awkward.

I wouldn't do it personally, just because it feels weird and out-of-place. If I heard someone saying everypony I'd think it was more funny than 'cringey'.
