CC_Maud_Pie 6,431 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 Decent merchandise is hard to find in the general public and it costs a lot of money therefore, I have to decide what to buy. 4 All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.
Vemillia Nightshade 2,247 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 Decent merchandise is hard to find in the general public and it costs a lot of money therefore, I have to decide what to buy. Well pony merch is relatively expensive at stores like Hot Topic. That's what online shopping is for, all the discounts and price drops. Anyway, I personally despise the people who poke fun of ponies calling us all autistic as a insult. Not all bronies/pegasisters are autistic. Not to mention that I hate all the Illuminati talks and 'Satan confuses men with ponies' bullshit. I'm not going to fight about it, but it's stuff that urks me to no end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJimiVFCjJ0 I couldn't help myself. lol 6 "Love and Hate are two different sides of the same coin. Ooh, once a teacher was showing the class educational YouTube videos, and many of the recommended videos were MLP related. I came up to him after class about it and he said he'd let his 8-year-old daughter use his account. -_- So close! The Awesome One 1,315 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 Watching people come up with increasingly terrible OCs.... Ooh, once a teacher was showing the class educational YouTube videos, and many of the recommended videos were MLP related. I came up to him after class about it and he said he'd let his 8-year-old daughter use his account. -_- So close! Mind telling me what exactly you said to him or did you just straight up go, "HELLO I WATCH MY LITTLE PONY DO YOU WATCH MY LITTLE PONY?" Another Brony problem is having to hear some people claim that My Little Pony is a conspiracy by the Devil or something to make Men weak.
Abia 258 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 Mind telling me what exactly you said to him or did you just straight up go, "HELLO I WATCH MY LITTLE PONY DO YOU WATCH MY LITTLE PONY?" Another Brony problem is having to hear some people claim that My Little Pony is a conspiracy by the Devil or something to make Men weak. It was a couple years ago so I don't remember exactly what I said, but I if I remember correctly it was like, "Hey so I saw your recommended videos have ponies in them, I was wondering if you liked My Little Pony because it's a thing that people like and I like it and that would be cool." Mm, problem with being a teenage or female Brony is that sometimes older or male Bronies aren't very welcoming. This hasn't been a problem with conventions, since there are a lot of people to talk to if someone else snubs you, but with smaller meet-ups it can be weird.
Overlord0909 479 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 (edited) I don't care what others think of me, or that what I'm watching is maybe I shouldn't be. I just don't want to have to deal with discussing it all the time, and to get misconceptions about who I am and such from people... So I just never mention it to anyone, except my friend who is now a starting brony. We are pratically twins So basically, I just hide my love for the show, so I don't have to get flank for it. I'm thinking of getting into dubstep making though, and after I make some really decent songs(to warm up) I'll make some better MLP remixes. :3 That'll tell the world who I am. And if you're afraid to let others know, don't be, just don't make conflict where none needs to exist... I hope I said that right! X3 Oh yeah, and the whole "Satan makes ponies to confuse men" thing, I didn't think much into it at first, but the whole notion of Satan kind of ticks me off now too. But I'll admit, there's the point about confusing men. XD Cloppers?(Not to make fun of, but they're there) Edited April 26, 2015 by Overlord0909 2 Bored? Want to be more bored! Zantetsuken 364 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 problems bronies face hmm? well most problems that come with being a brony are problems that arise simply cause a male decides to challenge his social recommendations and like something society doesn't expect him to like. So most problems are misconstrued warped social abnormality's tacked on becuase of one the one social abnormality you have taken part in. Being called a homosexual, being called autistic, being labeled a freak, are the most common problems 90% of bronies face at first. People shouldn't worry about these cause its just someones idea on what you should be being challenged. Most would ask questions, and it is annoying, but unfortunately its hardwired into our brains to question these things. But a problem I had, when I first became a brony, was attempting to find friends that would have liked and accepted me for my new internist. I feel that can be pretty stressful, especially if you have friends who we trolling you as it is, like I did.

aoEAF2FBvC0MIo2Q 3,673 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 It's really awkward to talk about if you do at all with IRL friends who aren't into it. It's awkward when you feel like you're in good company yet must feel like you must hold back on something that makes you happy to talk about.
cuteycindyhoney 13,308 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 Twice now I've had occasion to talk to Bronies in stores. I felt good knowing that they could open up about buying pony merchandise without fear of ridicule, since I was looking at them too. I've never actually witnesses any Brony hate, but if I did I would sure have a thing or three to say to the bully! Thank you Sparklefan1234!!! MischiefHowl 37 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 Not enough merch around where I live. But also the fear of telling your friends and even your family you're a brony because you're scared they won't accept you the same way or worse downright disown/unfriend you. I came out to my aunt already and she doesn't like that I'm wasting money on useless things or not acting my age. But there's also groups of bronies that aren't great either. While most are sweet hearted and accepting, there's always a few that are rude, mean and downright rude. 2 Roleplayer, Voice Actor, Writer, Friend

Love//Hack 819 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 (edited) I'm kind of dealing with two problems: 1) I have a problem with people saying only guys and men watch the show. Older females/women actually watch it and yet almost everyone treats it as if the fandom is only full of guys. The vast majority of haters I've talked to never even knew what the term "Pegasister" even meant. Also for the fact many bronies say girls can't be bronies. I'm not male-bashing. There's a lot of amazing and awesome guys in the fandom that I'm friends with and love to talk to! I like almost everyone nice in this fandom! I'm just tired of people not acknowledging that teenage girls and women watch it too. -_-I don't know. I'm just really, really, tired and sick of it. -_- It's exactly the same with tomboys, if the opposite gender likes it, people will be more interested with them being into it. 2) Another problem is rather old as I'm 13 now but when I was 11 I wasn't accept or so welcomed to the fandom for being a 11-year-old pegasister/female-brony and that a lot of older fans just kept saying I was just the "target audience". It still went on when I was 12. Although a lot of them said I was mature and other great things (I even got a brohoof from a few), others said I just couldn't call myself a pegasister/female-brony. I'm 13 now but some of those same fans still say that I wasn't a true fan when I was still a tween and that some even say I'm just getting started with this fandom when I'm been in it since the fandom was new! (I'm serious. The fandom was still new when I joined and was almost just started.) What can I do to cope with both problems? I could do with more merch, but I've been pleasantly surprised a few times by unexpected finds. I have to be careful who knows I'm a brony IRL. I don't exactly live in a brony-friendly area. midnightlegacy 172 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 I would like to say that I am able to completely ignore the comments some people say online, but I would be lying. In fact, I will often be in the middle of writing a comment back to someone else's hateful comment on a youtube video or something, and I will just stop and force myself to let it be, and erase everything I have written. In the end, negative comments really make me mad sometimes, but I have been realizing that I don't care what other people think about me. What matters is that I know what kind of person I am. They can say that I am autistic, a pedophile, and any other thing they want to call me, but in the end the fact is that it is not true. It is their own loss for not wanting to give me a chance. They are just hurting themselves by judging me based on some TV show I watch. After all, if someone wants to judge another human being based on something like that, they aren't the kind of person I want to be associating myself with anyway. 2 These days, the world has a tendency of taking itself much too seriously. It is my intention to not follow suit.
Discordian 6,015 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 Not only am I in the minority by being a brony but I'm in the minority of the minority by being pro-clop and Rule 34. Life is hard. I guess on a slightly more serious level, it's hard to find people to talk with. Most bronies are either far more intelligent than I am or are young enough to not really know what they think or how to express it. I've steamrolled more than a few people in conversation because they're too weak-willed to withstand my forceful personality and opinions.
