Well have you not tried to find out why he did it? See if was a forced hand kind of situation, or just sentence him for life to see if he regrets what he did? He is flesh and blood after all.

Just because something is advanced doesn't mean death penalties dumb it down. Though It is not influenced in my territory, I guess it is in their area..Odd as I make the laws for Equestria...I will have to check in with that area as that is against how me and Luna rule.

Killing him makes you no better than he is. If you do kill him, you will be that monster he thinks you for. Be the bigger pony and lock him up and prove him you are not that monster he thinks you are.
