Led Zeppelin

& The Rolling Stones

 

Some honorable mentions are Cream & Queen. I don't know why but I have a thing for British bands (patriotism?).

 

Edit: Also in society your not supposed to like both The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, but I just do.

AC/DC has been posted here before, but you can never have enough of them.

Saxon is an incredible yet almost forgotten band.

 

Of course, there's others like Elton john, Thin Lizzy, The Stranglers, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Kiss, Heart, The Darkness, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Genesis...

 

I can go on forever. I listen to a bloody lot of this stuff.

The definition of 'classic-rock' is no doubt going to be very up for debate but that said, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, The Darkness, Status Quo, Foreigner, Mr Big, Queen, Rory Gallagher, The Stray Cats.

 

Like I said, some of these might not be the genre you're looking for.
