Taking your spouse's name

Personally speaking now that I think about it with my current boyfriend, either I want to take his name or maybe we can even come up with our own surname (yes, that is a thing that happens), since his dad's a complete @$$hole. Definitely don't want to keep mine since it's very German and CONSTANTLY gets butchered really badly, and is misspelled so often... His last name is not bad at all, still a German last name if I've ever heard one, but it's not quite three syllables and nine letters long, with tons of room for misspellings and mispronunciations. Plus, I am and prefer to be the more feminine one in the relationship anyways.~

Won't change your initials and will even shorten your name by a letter.
