Oh. Yes. An electronic thread.

Favorite artists:

Breakshift

Thats' just to name a few.

The best song of the Electronic genre is easy Memro - Tricks of the Trail. He wrote it when he was only FOURTEEN, and it's one of the most popular Liquid Drum and Bass tracks on Liquicity. Check it out:

:o It doesnt work?

Then type: Avicii-Levels iNexus remix.

Id say its more of a fast paced song then others, but this nother one I got (thanks to RKA) is much faster and is considered to be DnB.

WAKE AND BAKE WITH STAN SB!

:3

I remember that commentary in Liquicity...

Judging by the beat it sounds sort of like Drum 'n' Bass to me

DnB is a great genre, though with in DnB, Squarepusher is still my preferred musician

I'd suggest for you to try some of his stuff out, you might like it

Derpex you probably heard his name because he is known as one of the most creative electronic musicians

He's been crowned as the king of IDM and Ambient music

He was the inspiration for artists such as Deadmau5 and Radiohead

Maybe this song will be familiar to you

I really like dark ambiental music...

Come To Daddy wasn't a Dark Ambient track though

It was an IDM track with Metal influences

But Aphex Twin did do a whole album with Dark Ambient on it

It was called Selected Ambient Works Vol. II

The thing that made this album so unique

Was the fact of how all the tracks were unnamed

And that there was a booklet that contained pictures

That went with each track, and what's in the pictures

Were the names of the tracks

ALL of Deadmau5... I literally feel the emotion he puts in his songs (like HR 8938 Cephei, Brazil 2nd Edit, So There I Was, The Veldt, Jaded) and his songs are just masterpieces... My all-time favorite song has to be Vanishing Point (it literally got me through social anxiety in highschool). I also like Skrillex, Knife Party, Daft Punk, Wolfgang Gartner, Alex S., and Omnipony. Any Artist I listen to, I get into and listen to all of their songs. Aside from that, I also like make my own stuff, using Deadmau5's standard bpm of 128 and styling after his amazing sound, while still being original

Oh no! Call the press! Get the news cameras rolling! XD

In all honesty, I usually enjoy only a few select tracks from any given artist. There will be a few that really grab my attention, but most of the time it's more of a "pick and choose" sort of deal. For example: I love a large spectrum of Tiesto's early works, but none of his songs from recent years have really stuck with me. I just ignore most of those.

Anyone here fans of electronic music

I personally like the more atmospheric and experimental type stuff

Though I don't mind some of the EDM-type stuff

My personal favorites:

1. Aphex Twin

2. Boards of Canada

3. Squarepusher

4. Infected Mushroom

5. Autechre

Heyo, your topic, 'Electronic Music' has been merged with the already existing topic 'Viscra's Electronic Music Thread' for fairly obvious reasons ^^

How about this song? (Not sure if already has been posted... the truth, I don't care, I could spam this song everywhere, because it's freaking awesome :3 )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru8rwJ4BugM

The song is by Omnipony/Omnivore

Hardest Drop I have heard... It's like if Excision, Liquid Stranger and Cyberoptics had an orgy and this song somehow was born...

The PMV is also nice :3

Pony stuff eh? I found this with a dnb beat but it was clearly dubstep. I wish it had some more bass though, since my beats arent responding to much rumble.

Edit: Ugh. Need some bass now.

YOU, SONG. GET OVER HERE AND SHOW YOURSELF.

Joel definitely knows how to put atmosphere into a dance track

It's really a rare thing to get out of a modern producer

But then again Joel didn't always produce dance music

So I guess that's how he got the experience on that stuff

My personal favorite track from the mau5

Would have to be Strobe

It's an evolving monster of a track

Then in a close 2nd place would come Telemiscommunications

Imogen Heap has the most beautiful vocals

And they blend right in with the light modular-type percussion

Anyone here heard any of his older tracks?

What about Project 56? It's not exactly really old... but it's also not new...

It's so random, and has so many stuff, genres, experimental music, weird songs...

I think you will like it (If you have not already listened to it... :3 )

Almond Question is from Project 56, just to let you know

Project 56 was definitely one of the more unique things that Deadmau5 has done

If you ask me the main genres from P56 were IDM, Trip Hop and Ambient/Downtempo

I prefer Get Scraped more than P56 but still both albums are great

I believe my favourite song by DeadMau5 would be:

An old/new song but from 2010 or so.

---

Aside from that, I went to look for my lost banana, and at that time I was listening to music on my comp. So I went turned the volume up to the highest and went looking for it.

Just to let you know the bonus room on our house was the farthest away from everything, and from everywhere in my house (except the bathroom in the master bedroom) I could hear a little music coming from my room.

Just to let you know im using a laptop with no extra speakers attached to the thing, and I could still hear music from this all the way downstairs.

Jesus.

I prefer the older version he did back in 2001 when he was still known as Halcyon441

But still both versions are quite nice to listen to

Not a fan of dubstep at all, but I really love electronic music. I got introduced to it by Approaching Nirvana a few months ago. Here's a continuous mix of their first album:

Yeah I'm not too huge on dubstep

Sometimes it's good to listen to

If I'm in the mood for it

and AN aren't that bad

Though when I first heard of them

I thought that it was a remix of a Nirvana song

So I was just thinking

"Oh crap someone just remixed one of the

most iconic 90's rock bands

this could get ugly"

If you like that style of electronic music

Then you should try out ATB

There have been three tracks as of recent to seriously entrance me into spamming the replay button. These three being...

95 Royale - The Neighbourhood {Disco-House}

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6Xdc5pjHZk&list=FLyO_EIpXyOSCwi6w2PlkAWQ&index=7

This. Is. Beautiful! It truly captures the Disco essence, with distorted vocals, a very heavy beat, a swingin' bass guitar and a mesmerising saxophone! I already knew that FunkkyPanda releases so many amazing tracks, but this caught me off-guard.

Televisor - Starlight {Funk}

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-BOjJjt0YY&list=FLyO_EIpXyOSCwi6w2PlkAWQ

This is pretty much the opposite of the last track; I totally expected this to hook me. And I wasn't wrong! Televisor has always been a great group to turn to for funky music (especially that of Nu-Disco), and the change in style here works really well! It feels fresh, upbeat and I just can't get over how good that guitar part is :)

Blue Satellite - Sparkles {House}

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWNe2tfYqHo&list=FLyO_EIpXyOSCwi6w2PlkAWQ&index=26

Another release from that Funky Panda! It's a House track, although it sounds completely different to what you would expect from regular House. It -- as the author and publisher have said -- has a really dreamy feeling to it, which is noticeable from the very beginning. The track is smooth, has a great piano, and it honestly sounds like a track from a video game.

To the responses of Deadmau5's early stuff (I can't quote stuff from my phone :(), I actually like Don't Give Me Tapes from Project 56, and I love every song off of Get Scraped, especially Overdraft, Edit Your Friends, and Careless... I just didn't think of mention his early material although I like it just as much as the rest ^.^

Don't Give Me Tapes was a nice little acoustic one

Though the ones that I liked from Project 56 the most were:

Almond Question, 80 Something, 15 Minutes, and Cliqd

Favorites from Get Scraped:

Try Again, Bored of Canada, and Unspecial Effects

Hmmm...I think that 4x4=12 is an objectionable album

But yeah, other than that everything done by the mau5 is great

Well, looks like I'm going to have to be the prick that posts Skrillex.

HURRRR DUURRR SKRILLEX SUX DICK CUZ HE ISNT EVEN GOOD WIT DA WUB WUBZ

Well I guess it had to happen

Skrillex he isn't too bad

He can make a good growl bass

But that's all that he has

His leads are a little bit over used

Though if were gonna talk about him

I personally prefer his older stuff

Like Slats Slats Slats and No Mercy Only Violence:

I think this mash-up can be appreciated here.

I'm sure you're all smart enough to catch why the song title is 'Idols'.

I think it's pretty neat.

Leestin.

This... This was awesome. It had an almost Glitch-y sound to it.

Speaking of Glitch, anyone else here a fan of Opiou?

I'm also gonna post some She just because.

Richard Devine and Squarepusher must be mentioned:

I heard one of the guys from mind.in.a.box is putting together a project where he won't be using any of his own sounds, but rather sounds clips the public send him. I love m.i.a.b and it sounds like it's gonna be pretty gitchy, so I'm pretty excited. :P
