Is your National Anthem in English?

National anthems are so cool, but I only care about the music. I never read into the lyrics, no matter what language

Nope, the Finnish anthem is usually sung in Finnish, though Swedish lyrics also exist for it (and were in fact written first, originally as a poem).

There is also an English translation, but I've never heard anyone sing it – it's completely unfamiliar to me.

I'm currently living in Canada, so yes, we have both english and french versions of our national anthem.  My favourite version though, is in Ojibwe!

Well, yes and no. My anthem is originally in latin american spanish. But I sing it in english, because I am weird like that. Actually, I like the phonetic of english better than my native language.

I'm American. The Star Spangled Banner is in English.

I don't really like it either... but I respect the poet who wrote the lyrics. I prefer my second ethnicity's anthem.
