Theory What exactly is Pinkie Pie?

She might be related to a crystal pony in some way by the way her color gets darker and her mane goes flat when upset?

 

But an idea I like is she might be a changeling o_o, think about it she is always going out of her way to get people to like her and changelings feed on compassion. on top of that she is loved (not romantically) by thousands of ponys and if one pony can make Chrysalis able to beat Celestia then thousands will give her the power to I don't know break reality and possibly the forth wall.

moving faster then rainbow dash and because of the twi Quadricorn we know that power directly effects speed.

 

She also learns to use her hair like mane-iac after simply watching her.

Mm. Honestly, I would peg the darkened mane as a stylistic choice. Artists/animators/etc often use visual cues or exaggerations to drive home a point, or make it more vivid. Her being less bright and colorful physically makes it visually more impactive that she's, well, less bright and colorful in mood.

 

As for her doing all those crazy stuff... Eh. I think that's just how she is as a cartoon character.  Pretty sure she's just an abnormal, normal earth pony.

I don't think that Pinkie Pie is related to the crystal ponies nor is she a changeling.

Seeing how all Ponies (including earth ponies) have magic, I believe that the Pinkie Sense and Pinkie Pie's fourth wall breaking powers are a result of her magic manifesting itself in a unique way.  As well as a combination of that and cartoon magic that doesn't need to be taken way too seriously. (That part would go to the 4th wall powers.)

Pinkie pie is the pony that replaced surprise (past gens of mlp) (I heard). Shes the element of laughter and is part of the mane 6. She seems to be on a high dose of cr.. Sugar all the time . She lives in the sugarcube corner in ponyville and she is an expert in making other ponies happy and also in making pastries (Like cupcakes) Now that I mention cupcakes, she was the murderer of rainbow dash in the fanfic 'cupcakes'

 

She is a popular pony in the fandom (I like rainbow dash tho  )

I'm pretty sure the actions are what gave the bugs their rep, though if ponies understood what they went through they might try to find a solution. It reminds me of the carcinus. Rare's always depicted beating on 'em but in truth they're actually kind souls they just look big and scary and nopony literally understands their verbal communications.
