Thanksgiving Plans?

My great uncle came over a few hours ago to celebrate. Tomorrow I'm going to the Macys Day Parade with my mother, my friend, her two little siblings and her mother. We'll have a normal day (without my friend and her family) and then comes dinner. Who'll be at the table who I know of goes as follows:

• Me
• My parents
• My grandmother
• My uncle
• My twin brother
• My older brother
• My other older brother and his girlfriend
• Brother's girlfriend's grandmother
• Lucy, the dog who likes to tackle me
• My great uncle

I don't really consider it a "historical holiday" for my family. It's really just a good holiday that emphasizes being thankful for the things you have in life. I think most people in America celebrate it more for that aspect, rather than its historic significance. I think everyone in the entire world should have a day where they all just hang out with family and eat a crap load of food. we could call it "Family F*cking Rocks Day".

I'm going to my aunt's house with all the rest of my family. I'm gonna sharpen my knife and carve some trees around her house cause there's nothing else to do, really.

I work all day from 1-8pm. Even if that weren't the case I'd have just stayed home and play video games. Not much one for holidays that aren't Christmas where I sometimes get presents.

My husband and I usually host a bunch of people because he's celiac (gluten intolerant) and eating away from the house usually makes him sick. I think we're having 16 people over tomorrow. I haven't started cooking yet. Husband and I are also moving cross country two weeks from today, and we haven't really started packing yet. Enter 16 people to help us! Yay!

What I usually do on Thanksgiving is watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and then eat something that's not turkey because I don't like turkey.

Every Thanksgiving, I visit close family friends, and we all feast. Traditionally, Mom and I bring homemade dessert to the party.

Well, we have family coming over, and we will have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Then we will probably relax for the rest of the day

Every year my mom, dad, brother, sister, and I go to my granny's house for Thanksgiving, where we eat a lot of food and play video games with a cousin, about 3 of my uncles (occasionally 4) and my granny (usually only the cousin and one uncle are involved in the gaming part).  Sometimes there's another cousin and whatever girl he's interested in this time.

 

We visit these same family members every other week anyhow, so it's real comfortable, relaxed and nice most of the time.

My plans are simple: Food and family. Two awesome things. :3 If I recall we are going out to eat to a special restaurant and I think that will be really nice. After that, I may hang out with a friend and play video games. Gotta have my games.
