Should I give season 6 a try?

I stopped watching S5 around the second half after being disappointed in certain episodes and now S6 is coming. Should I watch the new season or leave it?

If you think the lack of quality in the back half of Season 5 is indicative of the inevitable (or highly likely even) decline of the show's quality as a whole, then no. But you should at least watch a few episodes of the new season. If you don't see an improvement, then drop FiM and go find something else you like. Otherwise, you'll be back to enjoying FiM and will having a great time in Season 6. Time (and only time) will tell.

Ok there were a few bad episodes in S5 and there were also some very good ones, but I don't see a few bad episodes an an excuse to not at least give S6 a chance when it airs. We know that all good things come to an end eventually but I would say that there is still a while before this happens with FIM, especially with the film coming next year as-well. I don't think Hasbro would be going ahead if they thought that MLP FIM was dying and loosing it's fandom.

If it goes on long enough, every show starts looking like a bad parody of itself.  IMO, MLP hasn't quite hit that point yet.  Season 5 was arguably their weakest season but they still had some good episodes (Ironically, LimeBlossom, most of them were in the 2nd half of the season).  So, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt & at least watch the 1st 2 or 3.

Not only should you give season 6 a try, but I highly recommend give season 5 another go. The first half may have disappointed you, but other than the finale and one other episode I did not like, I like the second half even more than the first and I personally loved the first half. I suggest giving them a look.

Well I mean it's up to you, so if it's not doing it for you anymore, I guess not.  But I immensely enjoyed Season 5 through and through, so personally I can't wait for Season 6 and watching it along with everypony else.

Yeah same thing I did with the COTLM episode, I will still NOT tolerate the CMC cutie marks...but the point is: I might will give S6 a chance anyhow.

I'd try it and if you don't like the way it starts you don't have to watch the whole thing. Though I will say that you should at least watch Crusaders of the Lost Mark if you haven't already.

If not than don't.

Or just wait until the season premiere and if you like it than watch the rest of the season as well,

This thread should be "should I continue to watch the show?". You watch for your own sake not for people sake, do what you like. When I tired of some awful series, I dont need people to tell me to decide whether I keep watching or not. Maybe you should read some reviews or ratings of the episodes...

I think you should, but then I actually think Season 5 as a whole is a pretty good season. Hell, I don't think any of the seasons are bad. Some episodes weren't as strong as others, but that goes for any series I've watched.

why not give season 6 a shot and well at least try to watch some of season 5 episodes like the season finalle which was a verry unexpected episode.
