Arylett Charnoa 4,919 April 28, 2012 Share April 28, 2012 Like many others, I'd see if it was any good/like G4. If it wasn't, which I get a strong feeling it won't be because I can just see Hasbro going back to their little girl appealing ways, I wouldn't watch it. If it was, well, then I would. I just hope they'd keep the awesome pony designs of now. Aether Velvet is the name of the OC in my avatar. Drawn by me. Deviantart

spas-ticShotty 3,584 April 29, 2012 Share April 29, 2012 Has to be similiar to G4, hopefully continue the same universe but with new main character while maybe referring to some old ones like Twi, RD, Applejack etc. Also the content has to be at MLP:FiM quality so I can enjoy the show too. I also want the character design to be basically an updated version of G4.
KakeiTheWolf 652 April 29, 2012 Share April 29, 2012 If it is like G4, yes. If it is like ANY other Generation, they can go buck themselves. My Music: http://kakeithewolf.bandcamp.com/. DiscordxChaos 34 April 29, 2012 Share April 29, 2012 I'll give it a try. Hopefully, when the series comes to an end ( ) the next generation will be good as well. Cross my h.e.a.r.t and hope to fly Stick a cupcake in my eye
Pizzly 57 April 29, 2012 Share April 29, 2012 i don't know i had the same problem with avatar and the Legend of korra then i watched it and i liked it (in no small part to korra's boobs and j.k. simmons voice acting) Eternal Glory to the Lunar Republic
Jalaton 155 April 29, 2012 Share April 29, 2012 It would definitely depend on quality for me. I would check it out at first and if I liked it I'd keep watching, just like with G4. Legless
JhonHipster 124 April 30, 2012 Share April 30, 2012 it depends on the quality and story line. most likley the whole equestria thing would be thrown out the window and the would start a new. lets hope this works
Radiance64 7,053 April 30, 2012 Share April 30, 2012 Only if the same people who work on FiM work on it- unless whatever new team they would have work on it performs a miracle with it or something, or don't think there's any way it could be anywhere near as good as FiM is otherwise. ScottishUnicorn 284 April 30, 2012 Share April 30, 2012 If it is as appealing as G4 is, why the buck not, I wouldn't have an issue with them trying to do as G4 has been doing. I wouldn't appreciate a change in style though, unless it's really good.
The Media Brony 50 April 30, 2012 Share April 30, 2012 (edited) I might give it a chance, but I'm pretty sure it won't be as good. Or at least not as memorable, given that this community was spawned from G4 and how in just over a year we have impacted the entire internet culture with so much content. In many ways it could be superior, but will never be as revered as the original "masterpiece" Edited April 30, 2012 by The Media Brony
ColdGoldLazarus 8 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 (edited) When the time comes around (If G4 ends well, it would probably be sooner) I certainly intend to at least give it a chance. I don't think I'd want an exact carbon copy of G4, though; the mane six and equestria will have had their run by that point, and I'd be interested in seeing some new ideas, maybe even a whole new setting, brought to the table. (So long as it isn't called Ponyland.) Either that, or if they did a decent reboot, like the JJ. Abrams Star Trek films. I think the big thing is that, whether we're seeing new or familiar faces, so long as the quality is at the very least passable, and they keep to the overall feeling of G4, then I'd be happy. Wonderbolt_Spitfire 235 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 I would give G5 a chance, but if the quality of the cartoon and writing wasn't similar to that of G4 then I will probably just watch G4 reruns on Netflix till I die. If it is as good or better then I will have two generations of MLP to watch on repeat and enjoy the quality of the shows. 2 Sig made by me. Surprisingly it came out somewhat decent. Flutter's lover <3 8,206 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 If the writing, voice acting and animation quality is as good as G4 then yes, I'll probably watch it.If not then I'll just revert back to my DVD copies of the G4 series. Shanks 10,816 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 I gave G4 a chance so I don't see why I shouldn't give G5 a chance once it does come out whenever that is going to be, Hasbro has made some questionable decisions but I think they like the new found brony audience and all the cash they are bringing in and want to do what they can to hold onto them as well as the original audience. Dreadmallon 353 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 I'd of course give it a shot. If it's good, then I'll stick with it, if not, then I won't watch it, but I'll stay here on the forums and wait until I hear G5's become better.
Castle Bleck 19,376 June 7, 2013 Share June 7, 2013 (edited) I'll definitely miss G4 with a passion, but I will give G5 a chance. P.S. - I gave Teen Titans GO! a chance as well. Unfortunately, its writing blows. Edited June 7, 2013 by Anti-Villain By @Emerald Heart.↑
lincolnshirepony 527 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 Depends on the quality. I'd give it a shot. After all, it would behoove Hasbro to continue G4's tradition of excellence, so I'd assume they'd want it to be good. I'm pretty open to new animated shows, so I wouldn't have much to lose. If I didn't like it after a few eps, well, I tried. If it's a good series, then I've found something new to watch. DFTBA.
Spring Storm 276 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 Seeing as how I like the G1 and G3 cartoons even though they're maassively flawed, yes, I will watch G5. Unless it's another G3.5. I will hide under the bed for weeks if that happens. Together since October 19th, 2011
Fluttashy 325 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 I would probably watch it. I can honestly say before I got into G4 I didn't see what the big deal about it was. I'm from G1 fans and I took one look at the ponies and thought they were too skinny. I didn't give them a second look for months until someone told me I needed to watch it. I've never looked back. G4 is the greatest generation byfar. I woud hope G5 would be something completely new and not a mere recycle of G4.
Princess Periwinkle 3,775 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 I would definitely give it a shot, and probably keep watching it even if it got bad. If it did, I probably wouldn't be so much in to the fandom, however.
Ilovepegasi 6 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 Of course but depends on the quality, im sure it will be better than G4 but still want to be sure. But no I take that back once a Brony always a Brony so... Brony On!
RMX 4 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 I'd defiantly give it a shot, especially if the FiM team was working on it. However, if it isn't at least on par with G4 then I'd probably ignore it.
Scootalove 10,689 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 Of course! I gave G4 a chance, and I started to get addicted to it and I still will be addicted to it even when G5 arrives. It would be fair to give Generation 5 a chance, we will probably expect good writing, good episodes, and new episodes that we don't expect. So, I'll give it my 100% chance meter. shocker1991 32 June 8, 2013 Share June 8, 2013 If it's as good or better than G4, then yes but it might be hard to make a generation better than G4. If it's just G3 all over again, a definite no.
