I've never used an MLP avatar elsewhere, but I've seen other people who have them get insulted.

 

I remember on a Zelda forum I go to, there was one guy who had an MLP avatar, and someone blew up at him and called him an "autistic douche."

 

It often amuses me how some people can get so angry over such trivial things.

Some incompetent people thought that my argument was invalid because I had a picture of Discord as my profile picture. I had a great argument, and I say I won. If the only refute they had was my profile picture, then I won.

I don't exactly remember, but I made a music-related comment and said nothing about MLP, and some guy comes in and tells me all kinds of things insulting my masculinity. Sad.

I have a Rainbow Dash avatar on a good number of other sites.  The "worst" I've probably ever had happen was being called a horsef***** out of the blue in the Youtube comments section (that internet cesspool where brain cells go to die), but that didn't particularly offend me.  Though I was sorely tempted to respond with, "I much prefer the term ponylover." x3

For a lot of people I have been a progressive bridge. I used to be the angry troll, micheivous, "bad person" type. but I when my view changed, I changed the way others look at the celebration. They might be pretty ponies, but they represent some real situations, and all and all true friendship is awesome, and its something we should celebrate. So when I got more in tune with my inner "brony" lol, I started identifying with it, defending the ideologies, the show, and the awesome people who I have been blessed to meet.

Only temporarily on a Metroid forums. Even I had stated that it was an experiment to see how it would look over there and that it would only be temporary. The only comment I got was that nobody would really care about it as it was just an avatar and that the backlash against MLP and bronies is pretty understandable. It's the kind of reaction you can expect to see from anything that attempts to be obnoxiously pervasive.

I've never experienced any unwanted trouble whenever I used a MLP-related profile picture, specifically revolving around my OC. But now, I just sometimes utilize anime images instead.

Generally, most people who "follow" me on other sites are bronies themselves, so they don't really mind if I have a MLP-related profile picture or not. Currently, mine is the same that I use on this forum.

 

Now, when i go and venture into different groups on the unnamed social media sites and people see my profile picture, their initial response is, and I quote, "Go kill yourself you horsef*****" or "Go get a life you pathetic, fata**, autistic f***". Most times than not, it's the former, but even when the response is the latter, I have to correct them because it is a force of habit to correct people when they're wrong about me. What I say to them is completely personal, and I'd rather not say it here.

 

Usually, they go quiet. If not, then they continue to bash me because I'm "still a Brony" and should go "drink bleach and die" because I'm the "scum of the Earth". Quite frankly, I can care less about what they say. It doesn't effect me at all whatsoever.

Absolutely nothing happens to me. I have ponies on my profile on nearly every website I visit, and I've never had trouble. I guess it all depends on exactly which website you're on, since the type of people vary depending on the subject of the website.

Honestly, if I found myself being bullied over a pony avatar, I'd leave that website and find another one that's actually worth my time.

I have never had a problem with others about being a brony. Mainly because people think it's ok since I'm a girl and I use a picture from the fandom of the forum that I am on.
