Half-Life 2 has given me a huge impact in my life and changed my perspective in video games! I love that game so much!

 

I also love and I'm a huge fan of Grand Theft Auto!

Reaching back, one of my favs was Sonic Adventure 2. It might seem silly but that was the first game I played that had anything in the way of a true story, and that it has one of the best soundtracks in gaming helps. Sure everypony remembers City Escape and Live and Learn but even Pumpkin Hill and Amy's theme are gems to listen to. That it's still fun to play and the multiplayer is worth a few rounds with some friends, helps.

I think I have a close tie. Sonic Heroes was definitely the most fun game for me as a child. It was also my very first Sonic game, so nostalgia has a little something to do with that.

 

But Halo: Reach was the first video game that got me emotionally invested in the storyline (still the only one that made me cry). The multiplayer isn't the best, but it was the most fun one to play with my friends.

Why must you tear me with a question like this? If I had to pick, I'd go with Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout 3 is a classic, and Fallout 4 is great, but I played New Vegas first and I also think it's the high point of the series.

I would normally include the entire franchise, but if I had to choose my favorite from that, it would Spyro the Dragon. Granted Spyro 2 and Spyro YotD are better games, and I would probably include Dawn of the Dragon as well, but it's the first game means the most to me.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is a game that while I've only had for about four months by now, I would probably consider my favourite game. It's creative, it's addictive and the characters are adorable. Since it's also a game that's easy to get into, almost anybody can play it.

Operation: Desert Strom. More so the first one but also the second one. The squad tactics in that game were very good compared to later campaign shooters. Like you could play as any soldier tell them to crouch or shoot, you could trade guns too. Best game IMO.

Hey , since this topic relates to video games, I'm going to move it over to the Media Discussion sub forum.

 

As for what my favorite is... This is a toughie, there are so many great gems I've enjoyed in the world of gaming, and each for own reasons. It almost seems unfair of me to hold one above the rest just to say it.

 

But, if I have to pick, I'm going to go with Final Fantasy VI on SNES (or the PSX port, if you prefer). It was the first game I recall playing where I became really invested into the Characters and Story I was presented with, and firmly cemented what would become my love for RPG games in the future. Even today, it's still a game I would pop in and play. Even talking about it now kinda makes me want to go back to it..

Define inappropriate. I play quite a few games that have a decent amount of fanservice and innuendo but not like...straight porn or anything. Also decently violent games with as much gore as emotional hardship.

 

I couldn't pick any single game as an all-time favorite. Way too many games out there for that to be possible. My top five franchises are Shin Megami Tensei, Kingdom Hearts, Wild Arms, Sonic the Hedgehog and Castlevania but I have a lot of individual games that really stand out too like Spec Ops: The Line, Demon Gaze and Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time.

The Vita is probably going to end up home to some of my favorite games this gen. Out of the six or seven games I have so far I've enjoyed all but one thoroughly and there's soooooooooooooooo many games coming out for it that look amazing. Including the sequel to the above-mentioned Demon Gaze and another game made by the same people that looks almost exactly like Demon Gaze but with a different setting.

So I need to pick just one? Okay then: Roller Coaster Tycoon. A game that is the king of its genre even after all these years and it is still immensely fun to this day. Can't get enough of it. The atmosphere, the sound effects, the customization, it's all so enjoyable. I am making myself want to play some RCT2 right now. :3

 

Some of my other favorites: Uncharted 2, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Thomas Was Alone, Child of Light, Dynasty Warriors 4, Forza Mortorsport 6, Megaman X, and others.
