How would you feel if you found out M. Night Shymalan was directing the Movie?

Live action? That would be such a budget waste/ XD Plus it would be mostly awkward.

M Night though? I would prepare myself for all of the amazing plot twists in the film. Like Celestia being Discord's sister or something. And the plot twist would be delivered in a terrible fashion.

Redeem me into childhood. Show me myself without a shell.

I'll probably skip it, sit at home and cry for a month because they actually pulled something as dumb as giving the long awaited MLP movie to someone who damn near killed Avatar The Last Airbender

We'll also probably get the FiM equivalent of this

My reaction to Mr. Shymalan...

I feel like I'm the only one who thought this movie was gonna blow even before it came out, both because of I was getting real bad Dragonball Evolution flashbacks and because it was around this time Shayamalan's reputation was dropping like a nuke, especially after trainwrecks like "Lady in the Water", "The Village" and "The Happening"

That flying rock is the most unintentionally hilarious thing ever captured on film.

It would be like watching a car accident. Horrific, but can't....look...away. *crash*

I'd see it. And giggle then ENTIRE time.

I've never cared for M. Night's films, and I wouldn't want him involved with anything pony-related.  He'd have no more business directing an MLP film (much less making major creative choices) than the likes of Bay or Abrams.

The guy who directed Last Airbender? NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE  . Besides, live action adaptations of animated shows tend to be shit as a rule  >_> . I think I'd die of cringness if they ever do something like that

Well, since he made Avatar look laughable in The Last Airbender, my reaction would be something like this:

M Night Shymalan, Michael Bay etc. are those directors that were once upon a time were good but now they suck flank.
Some people would say that they were always bad but gave the audiences something new. Yet it was so empty of real value that audiences caught on quickly.

For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out.

And I'm just getting started.

I'd go see it. Just to experience the horror and outrage that would ensue in the Brony audience. 'The 2017 Brony Riots'. Yeah, that would be neat to see.

The truth is always rough.

I would call upon the almighty powers of darkness to strike it from history. That would be a better plot line than anything he could come up with, considering The Happening, Lady In The Water and Last Fucking Airbender. Yet, masochistic as it would be, I would still watch it.

There's also George Lucas who made the first Star Wars trilogy than he shat out the terrible Episode 1, 2, 3...

Remember that great movie he directed and then the 20 years of horrible torture since?  That was his best twist of all.

For the record, I think Unbreakable is a fantastic film.

For the record, I think Unbreakable is a fantastic film.

His recent film The Visit has also been positively received.
