Jackie Snack 1,498 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 How many of you actually watch the show anymore? I'll admit, I haven't watched it since ep100 and it was a chore to get that far. Seasons 1 and 2 were great, season 3 was decent, season 4 was 'meh' and season 5... I didn't even finish it. So, how many here are still concerned with the show's direction? Or do the rest of you simply jump on the site because of the (mostly) wonderful community? 1 Wanna meet Jackie?Check out my fics!Artists I recommend! BastementSparkle 20,328 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 Season 5's my absolute favorite season, and season 4 is tied as my second favorite along with season 2, and I'm incredibly hyped for season 6. Still mostly in the fandom for the show, though I've got some fanworks I really love and have made some good friends. 6 Twilight is best pony. Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to? CupcakeShed 38 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I still watch and thoroughly enjoy the show, but at this point I'm mostly in it for the friends.
Divine_Heart 51 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 It's simplistic and good for a smile. That's what I get out of it, so i still watch it. Even more so, I seem to enjoy it more than most things I find on TV today, especially since I sit and watch something with my children. Also, another thing, I am still researching it with Professor Chadborn. Occasionally, I like to see the development of the Brony community, how the show is affecting it, and what direction it will take over time. So, therefore, I have a professional and past-time investment in the series. 1 "Even heroes start the day this way!" ARagY 1,152 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I still watch the show faithfully. Though I'm not too concerned if I miss an ep, I always go and watch it later. There's no ep I've skipped, but I definitely didn't like Too Many Pinkies. 2 To each their own
Dark Qiviut 22,443 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 (edited) Season five's my favorite of the show, because it did so many things right, including a number of high-quality episodes, the best villain and best villain redemption (Starlight), and now a support of the Twilicorn. You can read all of the reasons here. I'll admit, though, season six concerns me a bit. Not because of Starlight, but because of Flurry Heart, the newborn alicorn foal and child of Cadance and SA, having an impact in the season six premiere and maybe beyond. And with Larson, AKR (now with Disney), and Levinger not with the team this season, I can understand the worries. But just because a premiere may or may not be good or the main three writers aren't here doesn't mean the rest of the season won't be bad. But I'm still here because I'm still a brony (FIM fan), still devoted to the product, and it's still an objectively good show. If I weren't interested in the show today, I might not be here. Discordian 6,015 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I just got done rewatching season 2 last week. I'm waiting for season 5 to hit DVD so I can watch it finally. Season 4 was by far my favorite season but I only watched it once so far. I should rectify that.

El Duderino 879 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I've never actually followed the show as it aired. I use Netflix. I don't actually watch it very often, but when I do, I spend an entire night watching it. It's been a few months since I've watched it. 1 My ponysona/OC: https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/treble-r8882 Check out my Soundcloud too: https://soundcloud.com/colton-paul-crawford DeviantArt: http://scottish-bastard.deviantart.com/
Luminance 2,186 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 The show is great in all but the fandom is something else entirely. I've seen what the show has to created to the fandom, a blank canvas for creativity, music, videos, and other Brony content that truly impress. If it wasn't for the community, I've wouldn't care to join at all. The time for the end is near and I'm so curious how Hasbro is to commemorate the fandom, the fans, the Bronies. I'll even still remain a brony even after the show has been long gone because it has changed me.
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,661 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 Of course I still watch the show. This show isn't some bandwagon to me, it is something special and a show that I love. I love the fandom too, but the show is what has kept me in the fandom, not the other way around. Season 5 ties with season 4 as my favorite season so, I see no issues in the show's direction at this point. Sure, I don't like Starlight much, but she does have potential to be a likable character.
Discordian 6,015 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I don't actually obsess over the show or fan works much. I love it when I watch it and it's definitely one of my favorite shows of all time but I come to the forum to talk with people about pretty much everything but MLP.
aoEAF2FBvC0MIo2Q 3,673 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 Normally, I see the episode either as it airs, the day it airs or the day after and that's how it's been with every episode since I got into this in Q3 2011. Heck, I've also seen S1 and half of S2 in the Latino Dub. Right now, I'm stoked for S6 and it's very unlikely that I'll stop watching the season 6 episodes before the season's end. Maybe if a new season aired once every two years, for example, might MLP afford to follow a more rigid path but because we're getting a lot of episodes, concepts can grow stale quickly. That's why the show has to do new things and explore as much as it can. Because we're not starved for the volume of content, novelty will continue to be in high demand.
Unlikeable Pony 2,698 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I watch the show, or at least Have been. I usually watch it the day it comes out as soon as possible.that being said, S6 is looking to be like S3 to me, I.E. downhill to the point where I probably will lose interest.
Scrubbed user 3,416 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 (edited) It's become a pain in the ass for me to be able to watch an episode nowadays. I used to have The Hub (when it was still called that) and was able to watch all the way through to the end of season 3. We changed providers in between then, and I don't have it anymore. Usually after the episode airs, I can go on Derpibooru and see a whole bunch of screenshots. I just sort of piece them together to at least get the gist of what the episode was about. Jeric 46,854 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 So, how many here are still concerned with the show's direction? I think Season One and Two were amazing. Season Three was average, South Four was decent to wow, and Season Five is God Tier. Not only do I still watch it, my teenage kids still do. We also snagged one Mrs. Jeric into enjoying the show ... and it was actually a Season Five ep that got her. Made some changes to the title.

Chuckles4lyfe 441 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I've been watching the show since 2012 and have yet to miss an episode. I've seen all of the seasons many times over and still get a smile on my face when I catch MLP on tv when browsing through random channels . After the whole Twilicorn debacle back in S3, I don't concern myself with the shows direction. The writers have proven time and time again that they can handle our beloved characters just fine. Some people just can't help but worry and nitpick at every little minute detail though :diamondtiara:. I for 1 am extremely excited to see what journeys lie ahead for our mane cast of lovable equines this Saturday . 1 #Squadgoals "But that day...The day I discovered racing...I proved that the legends were true. Odyssey 5,717 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I actually don't really plan to watch MLP:FiM anymore. The Season 5 finale has left a sour taste in my mouth and there are many other TV shows that I'm more interested in watching. Even though I'm not interested anymore, I am not concerned of the quality of the show. MLP:FiM always had some very great episodes that are always great to look back at.
Kiri 7,289 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I still plan to continue watching the show. Though I am pretty excited that it's starting back up again, I was more enthusiastic about it in the past.
Stormlight 1,371 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 Although my interest in the show is less passionate now than in the past, I still plan on watching the newest season once it airs. My schedule is quite busy, so I would need to make time to watch at least one episode every other week or so. 1 Credit for signature goes to Eazyfries
PacificGreen 1,163 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 (edited) I feel like I've lost a little passion for the show after this last season as well, but I think I'm still gonna be watching until the show ends. I also love how creative the fandom has become and (most of) the new characters they add to the show. Snake 516 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I love MLP, and unlike a lot of people, stay for the show. Even if one day, the show sucked, i'd probably stay because of my love for the characters. I'm really sick and I feel like this doesn't make perfect sense, but I love mlp and it doesn't matter to me if the whole fandom died tomorrow, i'd still watch as happily as ever. 1 signature by; https://mlpforums.com/user/26424-minikirby123/art by; http://pucksterv.deviantart.com/ profile picture by; https://mlpforums.com/user/36534-prophet/
Troblems 5,617 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 I still regularly do. I'm catching back up on S5 before 6 starts. M'gann M'orzz 745 March 21, 2016 Share March 21, 2016 (edited) It's become a pain in the ass for me to be able to watch an episode nowadays. It's really not hard to find this stuff online if you spend a couple of minutes on it dude. Like I could find Every damn season of this show easily, the only reason I won't just link it is that I would guess it's against the rules. But seriously of course I still do, I wouldn't be here if I didn't and frankly am I really one of the few people here more for the show than the fandom? Little the fandom produces me interest me much these days, most of the fandom just isn't into super into the aspects I am into and look for in fanworks so I have little interest in most of them. I have little interest in most grimdark or "epic" fics and my favorite characters just don't get much attention in fan fiction in general. There's only so much Twilight Sparkle I can read before I get bored of fics about her. But yeah to me the main draw is that the show makes me freaking happy and it has Rarity in it and there's few characters I adore more. Iv been on this train since 2010 too, the REALLY early days so it's not like burnout is gonna get me or anything at this point. Honestly I sort of regard fans of the fandom as Cancer no matter what the fandom is, once you lose interest what the hell is the point of sticking around to pout about how you think things were so much better in the old days? Keep in contact with your friends sure but spending your time pouting about DA OLD DAYS doesn't really help anyone. But yeah I really don't get the nostalgic fixitation with the earlier seasons ether, with S1 I KIND OF get it, there's a certain charm to it that is kind of unique to it, but S2 it barely makes sense, S2 is at least as mixed in quality as S4, has some of the weakest episodes of the series almost consistently mishandles one of the main characters (Rainbow Dash) and even it's much hailed two parters are generally beaten by others later in the series (though I still really like Return of Harmony at least). I kind of feel people only hail it so much cause it was so many peoples first season. Seriously though every season we've had a mix of good, decent, great, weak and flat out bad episodes. Some seasons have more of some group but people seem to have convinced themselves that the first two are like perfect or something. Anyway my passion for it has gone up and down over the years, right now im actually in a pretty high stretch after a low stretch before that. Also isn't this more of a Sugercube Corner type thread? Basically though keep giving me my Rarity and i'll be around. Yes. Edited March 21, 2016 by M'gann M'orzz RARITY IS THE BEST PONY EVER
