Im gona stick with derpy as my favorite back ground pony. I know its a slightly generic answer but she is my favorite well her or vinyl scratch.

Dr Whooves, because of the time he showed up as a pegasus in Cloudsdale somehow. Also, he has an amusing tendency to show up in places that he has no right being in.

I definitely love Octavia themed music and art! I would love her alot more if she had more airtime on the show.  She isnt that great of a background pony.  She definitely deserves more respect and time on the show

Well, I recently liked Babs Seed. She had a very diverse personality and I hope we see a tiny bit of her. Even background would do.

 

I also like Big Mac because he is loyal, like Applejack, and pretty level-headed.

 

And my generic answer is Vinyl Scratch because SHE IS VINYL SCRATCH!!!

It's a 2 way tie between Derpy and Vinyl Scratch.

 

I really love Ditzy, such a lovable pony (: and Vinyl is just a amazing God (:

But the scale is 8-10 on Ditzy and 6-10 on Vinyl.. so it's a tough one.

Chrysalis isn't a BG char, she is a extra char. But I have to say my fave is Trixie (She was used as a BG pony, OK.) and Lyra. I don't know anypony else but Derpy to add... so yeah, those are my fave.

Lyra is best pony   She has the best scenes. The sitting thing, the pie thing, the shake thing, and then there was a part where she was bouncing above all the other background ponies with a goofy look on her face. She also randomly showed up in Cloudsdale one time despite being a unicorn

My favorites are Derpy/Ditzy Doo and Doctor Hooves. They're the most fun to spot in my opinion, and I LOVE when the writers give us little nods, like Doctor Hooves being used to turn the hourglass in SSCS6000.

    I feel like sometimes the background ponies don't get enough credit for their awesomeness.  Luckily, this site generally gives the background ponies such as Spitfire and Vynl Scratch, but I'm still curious as to others that you guys like. 

 

By the way, Big Mac is my favorite  :3
