I will write a review of Black Ops 2 once it comes out, and i'm gonna post it here, like i did with MW3, i am sure it will have things in common with my MW3 review.

I like Call of Duty games, old ones, with old ones i mean 1, 2 and 3. I'm just really dissapointed at how Activision ruined such an amazing series.

Pro's:

Good weapon's balancing since there's no Stopping Power

Faster paced gameplay than BOI

Hit detection improved (Can be crappy sometimes, but overall better)

Noobtubes no longer a problem

2nd Chance/Last Stand removed (As a perk......)

Specialist (This is probably MW3's best addition in mah opinion. Adds a new variety to gameplay)

 

Con's:

Poor map design

Bad spawns (On and off, but are the most annoying thing to me in mah opinion)

Assassin overusage (The perk is too powerful)

Akimbo FMG's (They seem to be more rare, but are still annoying)

Lag Compensation

DEATHSTREAKS (Final Stand makes a return, and the newcomer DMH isn't any better, although it is getting nerfed really soon)

 

Neutral/Unimportant:

Type 95 (It is a gun many deem OP, but really the range of the 2-HK is the only thing OP I find about it, and it's not even that used, so...)

Death chat (When you kill an enemy who has a mic, you can hear what they say right afterwards )

 

TBH, MW3 has a lot going against it, but I still really like it, as it's technically more balanced than MW2's noottubing bullshit, Commando knifers, and the now-abundance of hackers, and tolerating the game makes it more enjoyable for some reason. Really, map design is what almost killed the game for me, since it in turn made bad spawns, certain deathstreaks more OP than nescessary, and some guns complained about.

Call of Duty 4 was amazing when it came out, it had more developing than the games that came out next, but i still didn't like it.

I have never been a fan of dead space but the 3rd one looks great because of the co-op.

Well, the preview last night was again Strike Force -_-. Man, Activision reeeally doesn't want to show anything else yet other than Campaign related news. Hopefully, it'll be more diverse soon.

 

The only really new thing I could indentify was the pickup icon for the LSAT, plus something called "Fast Mags" on the Type 95. I'm pretty sure fast mags will function similiar to duel-mags from BOI

In Black Ops II news, looks like the PC will be getting some more attention now, as it'll be getting adjustable FOV and lean, which was something that was taken out for MW3. Many PC players downloaded FOV mods to adjust it in MW3, so this won't be as much as a hassle. Also, Treyarch's Twitter says that they are aiming for performance improvement in PC, so that'll be more good news, since Black Ops PC from what I heard didn't perform so well. Again, TBNRfrags and IncredibleOrb will be happy

 

The more interesting news has to do with MW3 actually. Terminal from MW2 is more than likely to be released as a FREE map for MW3 . Terminal was one of the most popular maps in MW2, so it'll be awesome to see this map return . For FREE!

I've tried MW2 on Veteran. Damn, I was expecting smarter AI, not higher bullet damage (It's like playing a reeeeaaally long multiplayer match )

even if higher bullet damage is there, AI is slightly smarter too, its still the only way to get full enjoyment out of the game.

Anything less is too easy and not fun.

I'm definitely not sold on it yet. My brother is getting it however, so I'll be able to judge it when he gets bored/isn't playing it. So I guess I won't really judge it until I play it but CoD just seems to be getting worse and worse since MW2. The campaign for Black Ops 2 does look interesting though.

I like how almost no one at mah school talked about MW3 this year, while a lot of people in 7th grade kept talking about Black Ops I. I guess MW3 failed for them also. Now THAT's a first . I guess the kids just liked Black Ops more than MW3

 

When the first trailer for Black Ops II ame out, some classmates kept telling me it was fake in order to annoy me, since they know how much I'm into CoD. Well, when we saw the trailer, everybody was like "Hey, this looks pretty good". Then, when I went into web design class, one of mah friends was like "Black Ops II looks sick" while his friend (Who I and almost no one likes due to his annoying nature) said "Black Ops II looks like it's gonna suck. It looks sooooo much like Gaylo" and mah friend gives him this face that says "Whaaaat?". Ah, us teens and our crazy shenanigans.

 

Also, I bet the campaign is going to be interesting since the co-writer for the Dark Knight (David Goyer) is going to develop the story for Black Ops II. I always preferred Treyarch's campaigns over Infinity Ward's, since they always seemed darker

Then I thought of all the balance, connection, community, spawn location, and gameplay issues I have always hated when it came to Treyarch. I won't be purchasing Black Ops II, because it just looks bad. Maybe I'll play it at a friend's house or something else, but other than that, just... No. When Activision cuts the developing teams enough slack to update the game's engine so Call of Duty can become the great series it used to be, I'll consider buying another CoD game. Until then, my money goes to worthwhile games and studios.

Seriously, the developing studios behind the Call of Duty series need more time to produce higher quality games. Everything is just a re-skin and the campaign is always a half-assed set piece with some writing in between. Maybe a Activision can strike a deal with a third studio (like Sledgehammer) to create a new engine that will impress the massive community of cynical connoisseurs (like moi). I don't hate Call of Duty, I just think it needs a new direction in the sense of production value.
