so i think that i may have a virus

one day my computer started to run an application at random times and it would turn on for 1 millisecond and turn off, it was getting really hard to play games since they would minimize when i was in fullscreen.

but lately it has been removing my internet history! i'm scared  :(

when i ran my antivirus it said that i had a virus called "password stealer" (wow so original) and it said that it removed it but obviously it didn't since it's still deleting my internet history.

i need help asap cause this summer i was planning on selling my PC for a newer, better one.

please help

I wouldn't worry about it too much if you're planning on selling it. Traditionally the first step to selling your computer is to completely reset it to factory settings anyways, which would purge all of the virus data from the computer. If you're selling it to an electronics store, they'll do it for free, but if you're selling it to someone directly, I'd take it to your friendly neighborhood electronics store. I personally recommend Best Buy; they have their own personal service called Geek Squad in their stores that'll help you out with almost everything electronic.

Straight up taken from the LTT forums and worked for me:

Why must you install programs by rapidly clicking "next next next" and not watching for optional installs? WHY!?

I swear i am going to redo that old video i did a while back outlining how to remove viruses....

Anyway:
Use these tools : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6eftoutzp7abmbo/AACItIX-uRxZB1u2L9zl0Xh3a?dl=0

When they ask you to update, hit yes.

I usually run them in alphabetical, but it really doesn't matter.

Do this in safe mode with networking:
Run ADWCleaner
Adware removal tool
Combo Fix
Hitman Pro X64 (skip hijack this, you can mess things up with it)
Then run Malwarebytes, and MSE's FULL SCANS.
After that, run Rogue killer X64 and finish the scans with Spybot search and destroy 1.6.2

After all that, go into each and every one of your browser, and reset them.
Run CCleaner, and reboot again.

If after all that, the virus is still there (99 times out of 100 it wont be), you need to re install windows.
