Intel have started to respond properly, looks like building an Intel powered rig is getting cheaper now too :D

I'm looking forward to their Vega pricing now, I doubt it will undercut Nvidia as much as they have Intel, but it would be nice if they also brought the GTX prices down

It's been many years now and Ryzen has proven itself since this thread was made. Its very good low budget value on the secondhand market, mostly due to the very long list of potential CPU upgrades in a single motherboard! Just gotta update the BIOS.

Here's a great vid behind the scenes a few months ago about the release of Ryzen to the -X3D success.

AMD is still releasing Zen 3 CPUs though with the -GT and -XT variants (and previously with -X3D), despite Zen 4 already being out for a few years now.

Speaking of which, they moved from PGA (AM4) to LGA (AM5) socket when moving from Zen 3 to Zen 4.

As for Vega, well... :sealed: :pip-err:
