I gave your statement the same treatment I give statements by people that say that MLP fans are all pedos - I ignored it, because it was, and I apologize for being blunt, an idiotic statement.

 

There is indeed a lot of anime that has upskirt angles, and all other manner of perverted nonsense; however for every anime with sexual tones, there are far many more that are completely innocent by comparison.

Speak negatively of anime all you want, it's an imperfect media, and I'll be the first person to admit that I absolutely despise the vast majority of it. If you want to criticize the fact that there are a lot of needlessly sexual anime on the market, I'll jump right in and agree with you - I can't stand anime that are obsessive with fanservice, I think they're downright idiotic and annoying.

 

But, when you go and make such a wide, sweeping stereotypical, and insulting statement like that, you shouldn't be surprised when people react negatively.

 

Keep in mind, you yourself are part of a fandom that is extremely misunderstood and misrepresented - you should give the same courtesy to other fandoms that you'd like to receive with regards to your own.
