Do you think Rainbow Dash is very similar to this character?

I think Rainbow Dash is very similar to Alvin Seville from the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" series.

Here's the similarities that the characters have to each other:

Both characters are very arrogant and cocky and egotistic.

Both characters can be selfish and stubborn.

Both characters can be very immature.

Both characters are mischievous.

Both characters are jocks that are in to a lot of sports.

Both characters like to pull pranks on other characters.

Both characters are jerks with a heart of gold.

Both characters are big show offs.

Both characters annoy other characters because of their big ego.

 

I am starting to think that they kinda somewhat based Rainbow Dash off of Alvin Seville when they were creating Rainbow Dash, because of how identical their personalities are to each other.

Now that you point it out, I do see the similarities. One big difference though is that Alvin is clearly the leader of the group, whereas rainbow dash tends to play more of a supporting role (barring the episodes that focus on her). In a way I think that rainbow dash is a more mature version of alvin, as she has learned to work well with a diverse set of personalities as a team, rather than always insisting on being the leader.

They are so similar to each other that it's like Rainbow Dash is a female pony version of Alvin. They don't have that many differences besides the stuff said by BlueBrony.

Well this is new.  While I don't think they are all that similar, at least it isn't another Rainbow Dash Sonic comparison.

How come you don't think they're similar? Did you the similarities list that I posted?

And also I think Alvin has more stuff in common with Rainbow Dash personality-wise than Sonic does with Rainbow Dash.

I have a suggestion, you should try watching the 1980's and the current Alvin and the Chipmunk cartoons. They are very good cartoons.

Well, one big difference is Dash doesn't sing much.  Dash isn't exactly Alvin in drag -that would be the Chipettes.  There are also similarities Simon = Twilight & Theodore = Pinkie (as far as food goes)

Well I think Rainbow Dash is still basically a female pony version of Alvin Seville. And also I think Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie are female pony versions of Simon Seville and Theodore Seville. And also I think Applejack is a pony version of Eleanor Miller, and Rarity is a pony version of Brittany Miller, and Fluttershy is a pony version of Jeanette Miller.

So what I'm saying is:

Rainbow Dash and Alvin Seville = same character

Twilight Sparkle and Simon Seville = same character

Pinkie Pie and Theodore Seville = same character

Applejack and Eleanor Miller = same character

Rarity and Brittany Miller = same character

Jeanette Miller and Fluttershy = same character
