The argument of Unicorns (or more specifically Starlight) should not use magic to solve their problems

Seen in show Season 1: Twilight tried multiple times to solve an issue with magic and it backfired (paraspirtes went from eating food to everything else), Tried to use a come to life spell and it was out of her control, Skip a few seasons to Bats, and same thing..it turned Fluttershy into a odd hybrid. 

So somehow Starlight doing the exact same thing Twilight has done is frowned upon instead of being character growth when it backfires? give me break people.

Exactly. I am also in this fandom for a long time and back then, nobody was throwing a temper tantrum when Twilight did her stuff. I saw it as character progression and nothing else.

What Starlight is doing is the exact same stuff, but it's somehow considered bad because people keep bringing her past up.

If we go by that logic, then Twilight, Princess Luna and Discord should be hated just as much.

In all seriousness, I can see why Starlight is the main show's version of Sunset Shimmer. Both were villains who made bad mistakes and have been trying their hardest to get better! I'm just shockingly disappointed in those who hate Starlight just because they wanted Sunset to return even though the latter was established to stay in the Equestria Girls World and help keep the Equestrian Magic under control! Me personally, I love both of them.
