Because as a writer, when I have a good idea I can't let it go. You need to grasp hold of good stories when they come to you, I firmly believe no writer will ever be successful if they cannot do this.

Plus, I really wanted to feel more like a "true" brony and become more involved with the fandom rather than just watching the show, and it's all great for developing writing skills!
