Is it bad that my chest randomly starts hurting for like 5 seconds?

It's never a good thing, but in most cases nothing bad. A common thing that leaning forward too much can cause this, maybe you slept in a bad position, or lifting heavy stuff is also could be the root cause.
I several times got into in "feng-shui" position while I was sleeping, and next day it was horribly bad.
