Northern Star 1,024 May 26, 2021 Share May 26, 2021 no rules on reviving threads, I think, so LIVE! No counterfeit stamps/marks in HS. They used special stamps for occasions such as "fcbla(or whatever) is having a fundraiser, pay a buck and be able to wear a hat and carry your back pack around" and they would stamp/mark your hand with ink. They had the students make the stamps in the shop...so...yeah. College it was something like "you can't sit in the library media center and read or browse, unless you lived in campus and paid a fee" or something like that, I never fully understood it, I just avoided it and ordered the books to be sent to my home.
Mallow Gloom 26 May 26, 2021 Share May 26, 2021 Not allowed to spend lunch in the hallways, even if it's raining- Not even allowed back inside to grab something you left in your locker- You'd be out of luck if you forgot your coat or something. There was a indoor bench with a lovely window seat in one of the halls and I don't know who it was made for cause there was certainly no one able to sit on it lol That and a lot of teachers wouldn't allow you to go to the bathroom when you needed to... I have so much anger toward this topic not gonna lie
Northern Star 1,024 May 27, 2021 Share May 27, 2021 (edited) Nevermind. Changed my mind. (To all you "thinking", it was a reply to someone, I'm not never minding my post above) Edited May 29, 2021 by TheGleaner
IronM17 5,699 May 27, 2021 Share May 27, 2021 Oh, I remember three rules. One was that it was in one class not allowed to eat in the class room, even when it was in the break. I mean, in the natural science labs, ok, but in a normal class room? And the other rule was, that when you have to go to the rest room, than you can go, but it was not allowed anymore to come back to the class room after it. So, when you are not interested into the school stuff, than you only needed to go to the toilette and you had a free hour. And the third rule was that it was not allowed to stay indoors in the break time or before the school started, not even in the assembly hall (only exception was really cold and/or wet weather). Why was never explained. These rules where btw. from three different schools.
DixonTheAdversary 1,635 May 27, 2021 Share May 27, 2021 In my 8th Grade year, my middle school implemented a policy during lunch in which we had to raise our hands to get up and go to the bathroom/go throw stuff away.
AppleButt 8,682 May 28, 2021 Share May 28, 2021 My high school implemented a rule once where if you were tardy to class, you had to go to the gym and sit there for the entire period. Obviously, it failed. Epically. Kids intentionally showed up late to get out of going to class, and just misbehaved the whole time sitting in the gym. It lasted like three days, lol.

ExplosionMare 20,998 May 28, 2021 Share May 28, 2021 One of the new COVID rules was that only one person could use the restroom at a time, but that never worked out. It wasn’t like we went in the same stalls so I’m pretty sure we were socially distanced anyways. Table marking in the cafeteria was also dumb because we took our masks off and didn’t social distance during lunch. Boom!
Cagey 4,257 May 30, 2021 Share May 30, 2021 Apparently you weren’t allowed to call people on the phone at my high school. You could FaceTime or text outside class—just no calls. I was on an important call one time during lunch (was my dinky little flip phone suspicious?) and a teacher threw a fit at me, saying I was “violating the school handbook.” I had to hang up mid sentence. Throughout the rest of high school, no one else gave me shit for making calls.

Early Sunsets 2,109 May 30, 2021 Share May 30, 2021 My school didn't allow senior pranks. Of course, that didn't stop me from doing mine.
