Do you still have your childhood stuffed animals?

After watching the heartbreaking scene from Toy Story 2 that told Jessie's story (*sniff* :(), I brought out all my stuffed animals from my closet and laid them all out neatly in my room. I still have most of my stuffies from when I was a child. Do you have any stuffed animals from your childhood? How long did you have them? Why did you keep them? Where are they now? :kindness: (My two oldest ones are on my desk with me right now.) Also, if you can remember the stuffed animal you have the most emotional attachment to, feel free to tell us their/your story together. Let the tears flow and the emotions run wild! :mlp_yeehaa:   :squee:

For example, here are two of my oldest stuffed animals. I've had Stuffy (to the left) since I was a year old, and Mittens (to the right) was given to my mom for me before I was born. Note: I can't remember what their names used to be, so I just renamed them :squee: Extra note: Stuffy has two much darker brown patches on him- one on the sides/back of his neck, and one on his back spanning from behind the front shoulders to the tail. I just wanted to point this out, since you otherwise would not be able to know, if anyone cares. :P

I have so many stuffed animals in my room it's unbelievable, I keep all of mine because they are for my comfort when I feel anxiety I can just take one that's laying around on my bed and cuddle up to it, I wouldn't ever get rid of them unless they were worn out and destroyed.

Even then I don't get rid of them, I just fix them up, no matter how damaged they may be for whatever reason (I do have a dog, so...).  (Note: I won't be replying to all of your comments, I just randomly decided to do so here. :P)

I only had one childhood stuffed animal and it’s still here with me! I’ve had this huge stuffed cat since I was like 2. At that age, the cat would be able to cover me up entirely, but by today, it would only cover up like half of me (I’m kinda short). No problem ever occurred to the cat other than the tail almost breaking off, but my grandmother was able to sew it back into place.

I like how some of my siblings are even surprised that I still have it.

Yep, I have all of em, and I still sleep with them sometimes. You're never too old to cradle something soft. It's like a more fun version of a blanket, that's all. I have the most emotional attachment to this Pikachu plush. I remember my sheer excitement when my mother and sister walked through the door with it, my sister claiming she won it for me in a clawgrab machine. Those were the days...

Most of my toys were thrown out each time we moved. Kept some, built on it, then got rid of them again. Eventually all of my toys were thrown out. There's only two I've had since, literally, the day I was born. I suppose I should maybe try to get them cleaned or fixed up or something someday. That's two stuffed animals I'll never get rid of.

I actually still have one stuffed animal from my childhood. It was a beanie baby animal plush. I remember it was the red bull, Snort. I remember when I was younger and I was visiting my grandparent's house. My grandpa had the stuffed animal and I asked if I could have it. He always told me no and that I couldn't have it. I think it was because one of my other relatives gave it to him. At the time, I was in the hospital because I had surgery on my throat and stomach. When my parents came to visit me, they had a giant plush of the red bull with them. They said they found it in the gift shop and thought I could use a friend. I was extremely happy and had him with me the entire time. Even when I had to go have surgery in the hospital, I always had him with me. Snort always kept me company and made things less lonely when my parents weren't there. I remember playing video games or watching Dragon Ball Z tapes and he was always with me. I had other stuffed animals over the years, but they were either put in the attic or thrown away. I remember Snort was placed on the top shelf of my closet and I found him about a year ago. He was still in perfect condition, but was a little dusty. After a wash in the washing machine, it was as if he was brand new. To this day, I still have him and he is sitting somewhere in my room. :)

I have all my plushies from as far back as I have memory. I love them and they are my family. I keep most of them in a dresser next to my bed, with several more on the bed and a few on the closet shelf. The oldest used to belong to my brother before I was born and I kind of 'adopted' him when I was three years old. My special plushie is a big panda I've had forever and I sleep with her every night, and will for as long as I live.

Keep your plushies, love your plushies, honor your plushies.

Because this thread is asking a more general question, I will be moving it to General Discussion.

Thank you, there are so many forum categories I was struggling to figure out where it belonged. :P

My room is filled with all my old stuffed animals! Even though I don't ever play with them anymore I can not seem to give them up. Each one of them has a story of its own. Every once in a wile I try giving them all love because, just like in toy story, I believe they have feelings of some sort. :mlp_please:

Aww!

Hey, I partially recognize that pic! Is it inspiration from that site that happened, where you can insert a colored pixel every 5 minutes (per person), and there was some massive war to save Dashie, who was in that exact same position at your profile pic? ^^
