music Nickelback is the best band made

Sometimes. Side of a Bullet and some of the recent stuff is alright. But then you have schlock like 'Rockstar' and 'Animals' and their more ballad type stuff that appeals to the lowest common denominator of music fans (which I was as a teen).

It doesn't help that they tend to do stuff like this.

Though I don't think the issue is so much their music as said music being way overplayed, and many a band exacerbating the problem by aping Nickelback's style,  as well as the reputation of Chad Kroeger as a sophomoric party boy jock. Bad mouthing Slipknot and picking a fight with frontman Corey Taylor didn't help matters.

In short: the music isn't as abhorrent as everypony says. But their reputation, rampant overplaying of their material and the wealth of Nickelback lite copycats have earned them their fair share of enemies.

Meh. The 90s had a good run for Mainstream music. Everyone wasn’t impressed and they wanted more but then we get Nickleback. Some of their songs are good but my opinion on them is ‘meh’

I've always liked Chad Kroeger's voice. It's the main thing that has always stood out to me. Like most bands that get played on the radio a lot though they'll get popular because of a few stand-out songs like "Hero" and "This Is How You Remind Me" but most everything else they have is boring schlop that doesn't try very hard. It's somewhat misleading about who they are as a band.

I am partial to certain songs myself though. Their cover/collaberation with Kid Rock for "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)" is a great song to get pumped up with.

Nickelback is bland for me. They were popular enough to spawn some copycats (ironically I do like Theory of a Deadman), so I guess they did something right. But I have never heard a Nickelback song that felt like it was good enough to warrant another listen.

I used to be a huge Nickelback fan but a family member listened to Rockstar over and over and over again which turned me off the band.

You need to see this.
